I don't ever want to give anyone a bad review or worse a one star. I feel that this place is a one star. From the moment I arrived. I called early in the day I was unable to be accommodated with a question and answer: I arrived and the gentleman that helped me did not seem to like his job much. From the freeway, this hotel looks absolutely amazing from online looking through Priceline and booking. It looks great as well.. I am so disappointed in myself that I did not go to Yelp and look at this hotel before I booked I wanted to get a hotel close to Roseville so that way I could be somewhere close to where I needed to have a procedure done tomorrow I have chronic back issues. I have been so miserable here and I'm not a miserable human. I was given my room number, no direction of where to go. I walked outside and I realized real quick. I was not gonna know where to go because where are you going to? It's almost like a dorm at a college. I had to walk back into the hotel to ask where am I supposed to go and it was explained that I do go through that area which had letters no numbers. I am supposed to have a balcony that is non existent. The bed has springs in it. Really horrible. I am in so much pain. Just want to cry. I've tried to contact Priceline and booking this is not ok to lie about the location etc. When I opened up the door it was the worse smell to man kind. I can't explain it but this place is so old and it smells like a bar. Cigarette smell and they have a bunch of plug-in, smell things which make it even worse. Booked a 4 night stay which was to include daily housekeeping. When I arrive, I was greeted by signs that said towels and linens are changed only every 3 days and servicing of room for trash removal, replenishing of supplies, etc is by request only. After numerous requests, we are in our 3rd day without hand soap by the bathroom sink, towel change, etc.. We are paying $25 extra per night for our dog and must never leave her alone. Are we supposed to go without trash removal for 4 1/2 days when we are eating meals in our room? Even after requesting trash be emptied daily and the need for 2 fresh washcloths daily, nothing happened. Had to find a place to empty our trash and beg a desk clerk for clean towels. Outdoor trash containers are very small and intended for smokers. I feel sorry for the staff who work for such terrible management. read more

We stayed here because we were attending an event at the Chalet. Everyone in the staff was SUPER nice, attentive and helpful. However, they are at the mercy of rooms that are not being maintained to basic sanitary levels. As other reviewers have noted, the bathroom had a sewage odor. Every seating surface was stained with who-knows-what. The fan/air conditioning had visible mold growing in the vents- so it was unusable. The pillows were rock-hard lumps that were useless. We had a room reservation for two queen beds and when we checked in about 7:30pm after a long volleyball tournament... they didn't have two queen beds for us and all they had was one King size bed available. It was me, my husband and my 16 year old son. We had no choice but to get it because we had another volleyball tournament the following day. We got no call about our reservation will be a king bed only room. No one called us. Than when we got to our room... there was loud music coming from next door which is the Chalet Event center. Wow! At least they could have warned us that there was an actual event party going and it's going to be loud d/t music blasting! Holy moly, my boyfriend and I stayed here for an event we were attending at the Chalet. We have stayed at motels for cheaper and more clean than this place. We switched rooms, the first room has the bare basics. No tv remote, that's ok fine. BUT the bathroom REEKED like sewage and there is no fan in there. The hair dryer was broken, and the shower squealed when in use. The second room was a NIGHTMARE. Bathroom still smelled like sewage, and there was not one single clean inch in this room. But hey, at least we got a TV remote this time! The hotel states it's a smoke free hotel, yet we found half of a blunt wrap and ash on the floor. Dust layered on to the furniture. Used q-tips stuck to the baseboard, eyelashes behind the toilet OMG. We wore our shoes all throughout the room because the floor was sticky, the bathroom floor had a layer of some kind of slippery non drying liquid on it. There were bugs flying around the room, and trash just littered under the bed. The TV kept turning on in the middle of the night with the remote on the desk in the opposite side of the room. I spoke with other event attendees and family members who were also staying here, they had a similar experience. My nephews feet were pitch black from all the dirt and grim on their room floor. My cousins had pee all over the toilet seat. TLDR; they need to hire more help in the cleaning department. read more

Checking in here has kind of been a dream of mine. The last time I was here was 2001 during my senior year of high school... I did a special lunch with my peers in the Engineering & Technology Academy. I finally got to stay a night and it was damn near perfect. When we checked in, the staff was so welcoming. They were funny and if we weren't in a hurry to get to the room, we would've laughed all night. They gave us some Halloween candy and directions to our room. They let us know about the breakfast they have in the morning and check out time. Our room was in the next building over. As we walked in, we went down the hallway, up the stairs. When you looked down, there was a lounging area with a fire place. It looked very cozy and comfortable. If I had a few days to spend here, I would take a vantage of that. It was so quite, we felt like we had the building to ourselves. The room was prestine! Super comfortable! The TV had great channels, there was a fridge behind the cabinets and a nice view of the parking lot from our window. I liked that we were able to open the windows if needed. We could see our car, too. The room was just beautifully set up with a closet, iron, a safe if needed. A shower with nice towels and complementary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. After a good night's sleep in one of the most comfortable beds, we got up for breakfast. There was a pancake machine I have never seen before, a waffle maker, bagels, breads, cereal, fruits, a coffee machine with many options, and a juice machine. We were so happy! After a delicious breakfast, we went back to the room and called the front desk. They allowed us to check out at 12 instead of 11. Much appreciated! We had such a wonderful time here on our getaway! let me say that when I read the reviews of this place I was terrified to stay here! But being from the area I had a hard time believing that the hotel was as bad as what I was reading ... so I went there to preview it! I was met with kindness and helpful associates! When I explained we were getting married 5 min away and that their reviews were terrible and I wanted to look around she immediately offered to show me rooms and gave me a tour. Some one in the breakfast area was making something that smelled incredible so I snuck in to see what they offered and asked the guest in there how her room and stay was to which she replied everything has been great ! There was one older lady who I saw both times I was there, she likey stays there often, had a little dog with her who was perfectly cared for and sweet and well Behaved. The lady was talkative and friendly but stayed in the little outdoor smoking area and didn't bother anyone. Perhaps that's who the negative people were negatively describing. When I viewed the rooms I was shown 4 rooms in 2 different wings. I had just dropped in yet they still felt confident to let me see the rooms, which was also encouraging! All the rooms were clean, they were updated for the most part, one had a crack on the tile floor. No big deal to me ! Then I was shown the bridal /king suite which perfect for me and my bridal party to get ready in ! And it wasn't much more than what I was already going to pay for a regular room!!! We ended up having the photographer come there to take pictures because the lighting was perfect and it has a little balcony that we could take great pictures of the bridesmaids! When we checked out I approached a group of workers and asked if any of them Was the manager. They shook their heads but one said I am working the desk tho, can I do anything for you . DO NOT GO HERE!! This place is under new management and is not the same, it is a total nightmare now! I have stayed here multiple times for over 15 years and could tell immediately that it was when I walked in. We were in our room for 5 minutes my daughter used the bathroom #1 it backed up immediately. She tried to wash her hands no soap either. We asked for them to fix the toilet and bring hand soap to our room. When the front desk people came up the man was very rude and looked in the shower and told me to use the soap in the shower to wash our hands. After he plunged the toilet for several minutes unsuccessfully, we asked for another room. When we got to the second room the first thing I did was try to flush the toilet as we just arrived at the hotel and all of us still needed to use the restroom. The toilet handle was completely disconnected. We showed it to the men working in our previous room down the hall. This bathroom had hand soap. But there was dried urine on the toilet seat and the room smelled like smoke. They Immediately offered a third room. As we were waiting for our third room, I was noticing how disgusting this room was. I was upset that both rooms did not have functioning toilets and decided that we were not staying at this hotel. The two main things you need at a hotel is a bathroom and a bed, they could not provide a bathroom. They gave me an invoice showing a full credit and told me I would not be charged. However, I was charged for one night a few days later. I called the manager Rashida she claims that they do not lie and that the toilets were functioning. My response was why did we change rooms if the first toilet was working, she said it was not backed up and they don't lie. The second room she said we should have never removed the back of the toilet lid. We removed it because the handle was dangling and I literally thought this was a joke at this point. I told her the last thing I wanted to do with my 5 and 7 year old who were already in their pajamas was to get back in the car and find another hotel. (Staybridge Suites BTW in Roseville) saved our lives that night. Rashida the manager has hung up on me multiple times for me trying to get my credit back for the one night. Booked for the jacuzzi tub & it was broken in my room. The room had no towels, no blanket, only 1 pillow had a pillow case the other pillows had brown stains and dried boogers on them. The bathtub wouldn't hold water as the plug was broken and the water wouldn't shut off. Mark the maintenance guy was a complete jerk and treated me like an idiot for their property not working correctly. Breakfast was OK at best. Don't waste your time or money. Worst place ever do not stay. Stayed here for a wedding. Check in was a nightmare. Took over an hour because they said Expedia virtual card was not going through. Never did get it to work. Tried to charge me at that moment and I refused since the money has already been taken out by Expedia. Finally after standing there the guy tells me I can just have the room key he will try and fix the issue and call the room when he is done. I booked months in advance and booked the biggest room they had with a jacuzzi tub. Get in the room and it is the smallest they have no jacuzzi tub. I go back up to the front desk and let them know my room is not correct. They tell me sorry we switched computer systems and it messed up some of the reservations. They can't give me a suit cause they are completely booked. He then tells me the room will be free of charge. The room was also very ran down and blankets had stains on them. At check out I then ask and make sure they are not going to charge me. They said no, there would be no charge. Days later I get charged! Not only charged but charged for the suit that I did not get. I called and spoke with Jessica let her know everything that happed. She said she does not think I would get a complete refund but she would check and get back to me. Wait days no response. Called back she still tells me I have to wait. Still no call back and when I call they pick up the phone and just hang up. This place is ridiculous I would never recommend staying here! read more

So we stayed at the Rocklin Park Hotel last night. My partner booked the room and I was a bit nervous looking at the reviews on the drive up. I was ready to book another hotel instead but decided we would continue our journey to see for ourselves. We arrived and it was a quick checkin. As we were going to our room I braced myself because I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. I am not a hotel "snob" but do look for cleanliness, quiet and comfort. This hotel had all of them. They offer breakfast until 11am, which I did not take advantage of. If you're looking for cleanliness, quiet and comfort this is a great place to stay. The owner does not care and actually tries to sell the idea that this is a surprising one-off situation. We rented over the phone because we were flying in from out of state and we came in super late one night... We had paid for multiple nights before seeing the place. Anyway we came in and got the keycards early and had to just grab and go without going up.to the room. When we came back I noticed a lot of people roaming in and out and all over the property... None of the doors were secured...all entry doors were unlocked all night and anyone can roam in and out it seemed. No one watching the office.. Desk left unattended and no security anywhere. Everything was broke in the room... No comforters or blankets were on tbe bed when we walked in... Thr microwave and tv were in old ran down entertainment centers. One had like chicken wire on it... The microwave was so old it had yellowed on the inside. The phone didnt work... Half the outlets worked in the room... Cigarette burns in the sheets.... Dirtiest filter I had ever seen on an air conditioner!! We left the next morning and demanded a refund and the owner avoided us on four different occasions... The last time he said he was reviewing but wouldn't be able to get back with us until later in the week... It has now been over two weeks and we STILL have not heard from him. I was also reading some of the other reviews and some people where saying this place claims to be going through a remodel... Well that was well over 2 years ago... Nothings changed.. When I arrived to the hotel the parking lot was pitch black, a lot of the cars that looked to be broken Into or had flat tires, and the front lobbyist was watching YouTube and did not dress appropriately. Walking up the stairs to the room, you can tell that no one vacuums the carpets/walkway and the hallway was very humid and hot that was around 80 degrees. During our stay, our key cards to our room stopped working three times in two days. We had to go to the front desk each time to have them re-key the cards. The floors are hardwood, which I'd expected to be clean, yet after 10 minutes of unpacking with no shoes on, my socks were practically black from the dirt in the floor. The pool & spa were "closed for maintenance," which would have been good to know BEFORE choosing this place in my search of pool & hot tub included hotels. I decided to take a hot bath instead and was greeted with hair in the bathtub, and a stained shower curtain with no liner - the floor was flooded after every shower. The shower head was more like a hose. We called the front desk for some more towels, and no one came with them after an hour. By then, we'd left and came back. Still no towels. We went up front to ask for them, and the lady said "Good luck!" before presenting "the last two towels." There was no microwave in the "Deluxe King" room, which was a huge disappointment. The room was clean but lacked a sufficient number linens for two and the front desk found one clean towel when asked. We were put in a separate building from the main and when we can in late from an event the building door was not locked for security. We stayed here Friday night as it is close to Thunder Valley Venue for concerts. The reason we chose this hotel is it advertises as ADA compliant in some rooms. I had recently broken my knee cap and am forbidden to use any stairs. Fortunately I'm somewhat mobile, and not alone. The shower nozzle was attached in a way that it wouldn't have been usable without attaching in a different way. If a person was truly wheelchair bound this would have presented a need to call maintenance. We were pleased to see there are lifts to both the pool and hot tub. We tried to operate the hot tub one to no avail. Went to the front desk and were told maintenance would address that. Reason was that there wasn't a battery in it. Maintenance person went looking for the battery only to find there wasn't a charged one. Just too bad. The front desk upon arrival was super friendly. The room was very clean. If you're looking for an ADA compliant stay we would suggest elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately there were no other available rooms nearby for the holiday weekend. While we were waiting to check-in there was an irate lady who was upset because she was trying to get a refund.
