Friendly bartender Tashalee greeted us with a big smile and menus when we came into this glitzy chandelier filled room that is the lounge. A resounding YES was the reply when we asked if it was still happy hour (at 536pm). Happy Hour (Daily) is 3 PM - 6 PM with $7 fancy margaritas and snacks including ceviche, guac, queso, empanadas and chicken or carnitas street tacos. We were hungry and thirsty. She asked if we wanted to start with (thick warm) chips and salsa. YES, PLEASE! Wished the chips were saltier, but too lazy to ask for salt (which just causes water retention anyway). Salsa thin and almost smooth, with clear pieces of roasted red jalapeno pepper yes chipotle baby! Busy solo, our bartender eventually came around for our drink orders, and we both chose fancy margaritas. My Black (Berry) and Basil may have been the perfect cocktail ever. Sugar rimmer made sticky hands, but OMG I loved this sweet boozy concoction. Hubs ordered a Spicy Piña with pineapple and jalapeno slices. When he was about half done the bartender came around with extra and filled his glass again. Leftovers from the shaker, OH Yeah! While munching on the chips and salsa we decided on the chicken street tacos and the shrimp ceviche. The ceviche came in a small bowl with a huge pile of more chips. We probably could have eaten two orders of the shrimp part though! Rough chopped shrimp, peppers, onions tomatoes and a light broth were perfect on this hot day. The tacos were small on very soft fresh corn tortillas with a good portion of shredded chicken tinga. I was able to add the avocado that my husband removed from his ceviche and round out these tacos, which were only topped with cheese and sauce. Maybe some cabbage would be good here? These were just ok but I was hungry. Alas, the potent concoctions were enough that I only required one. I really wanted to get the spicy mango margarita too. Which will necessitate another visit to La Neta for happy hour again on our way back through town in a month! read more

After many years as a loyal local customer, I can no longer recommend this business. For years I was welcomed here like family and never had an issue finding seating, including being accommodated in areas reserved for reservations when space was available. That level of hospitality is completely gone. During our last visit, my family and I were treated in a way that was rude, dismissive, and highly unprofessional. Instead of making any effort to accommodate us or professionally suggesting we return at a better time, the staff made us feel unwelcome. It was an unfair and disappointing way to treat longtime patrons. It is disheartening to see how much the customer service has declined. We have been going to La Neta for YEARS. Enough to see many changes in management, menu, and bartenders/servers. It has been enough to call it a second home as we were always received with open arms and kindness. Today we were shocked that they denied us entry, even after reserving a spot and showing up on time. There were two tables empty and we were denied entry. So many happy memories have been built here and today we were treated like nobody's. They didn't offer any kind of support and left us there on the side. Very disappointing. read more

My daughter lives in Summerlin and recommended this restaurant when we visited her last night. I made reservations online. Parking was easy next to the restaurant which is in a mall. The decor was lush and exotic--plants hung from the ceiling, there was interesting art and mirrors on the walls, the booths were soft velvet, etc. Short video clips of musicals played on a tv at the bar. There are outdoor tables too. The restaurant was almost empty on a Sunday night which was nice for us since we had many great servers besides Joseph. He recommended favorites: birria empanadas, guacamole with excellent chips and salsa, calamari, chicken enchiladas with cilantro rice and whole beans, street corn, carnitas tacos, and chocolate cake with strawberry and vanilla ice cream. Next time I want to try their jalapeño polenta and another birria item. They also have tres leche and churros desserts. It was a nice dining experience. read more

So it's not traditional Mexican, think of Tex mex with a modern twist but still pretty good. If given the choice between here and Juan's flaming fajitas, come here and get a margarita instead. The lounge is stunning and their bar rocks. The drinks are always strong but well balanced and it's my cup of tea. They have a ton of events that happen on their lounge during happy hour so check it out before you get your shopping on. Happy to update my review from a couple years ago. This place has really found its way. I have been back twice now and the food does not disappoint. I joined my fellow Yelp sisters last night for dinner. We elected to dine in the lounge where we had comfortable seating. We started with the chicken flautas which is a favorite of mine. We all had cocktails too which were refreshing. For our entree's we chose the Birria Tacos with rice and beans and the chicken tacos. Everyone was happy with their meal and our bellies were full. It was a quiet night in the lounge until 7:00pm. My only complaint is why they have to turn the music up so loud at 7:00?? In our city, no one even comes out to party till way after 10:00pm. It makes it really difficult to hold a conversation once they crank up the tunes. On weekends this place is hopping but rather chill during the week. Service was outstanding from our server Alexa. Its a beautiful atmosphere however thats not enough to carry the less than mediocre food. I was honestly surprised at the quality of the food. My husband ordered the skirt steak with the chorizo potatoes. The potatoes were cold and lacked flavor. We also ordered the ceviche.... it is plated in the same bowl as the free salsa along with the same tortilla chips. In general all the food lacked authentic Latino flavor or flavor at all. Went for bae's 41st birthday for Happy Hour before a movie. The spot was easy to find and there was ample parking. The decor inside is nice with the lighting coming through in just the right spots. It was cozy, and there were different sofas and chairs to sit in as well as the bar area. We chose to sit at the bar. While we were the only ones at the bar the server was not very attentive to us. We did get our food rather quickly, and the street tacos weren't my favorite. The carnita meat was kind of bland, whereas bae's flautas were better than what I had chosen. The cheese sauce was a nice change from the normal white queso, but we also forget that white queso isn't something served a lot in Mexico. Their take was good, which is why I give the place 4 stars. The drinks were alright, the El FLACO is a good place to start. The margarita was super super salty and I am not sure why. We did have salt on the rim but that shouldn't have been enough to make it taste the way it did. I had to wait for the ice to melt for it to be drinkable. Overall it was a nice place. I really appreciate that La Neta offers happy hour every day from 3-6 PM. Most places limit it to weekdays, and if they do run a weekend happy hour it's usually at some odd late hour. The happy hour takes place in the lounge area, which has a cool vibe and makes for a fun spot to grab drinks. The seating is a little on the quirky side--not the most comfortable for hanging out too long--but it definitely adds to the atmosphere. We really enjoyed our drinks, which were well-made and came out quickly. My friend ordered the ceviche, though, and we weren't too impressed with that dish. This place looks great. It has a laid back, classy lounge feel. The low chairs and tables really add to the vibe. We stopped in for a drink while figuring out how to spend the rest of our day off. We were seated in the back and waited for a good while. It was not very busy, and we were about to leave to find service elsewhere, when a server came over and took our order. We ordered a couple of drinks, which were good, and briefly considered staying for food. We watched the dishes go out to nearby tables. The portions looked undersized, the prices looked oversized, and the chatter around us wasn't good. That seemed like a terrible combination. The place is pretty, but not pretty in an authentic Mexican vibe at all. I understand it is in a nice area in town, but it is faraway from being Mexican even in their food, which is not really the best, it didn't have that wow flavor that Mexican food actually has. The waitress barely acknowledged us to the point we were seating down waiting for solid 40 minutes and she never came, she even went to check on a table with couple guys next to my friend and I and didn't even look at us. When she finally blessed us with her presence, she came passive aggressive at us saying oh you still here, I'm taking you are not leaving at all... why we stayed? Tbh, idk. We ordered, food took forever to arrive and it was as cold as possible. We were there for a couple hours, we were consuming the whole time. We weren't being disrespectful or disturbing to anyone. We were really enjoying ourselves when the waitress came with the check and told us we had to leave, so we understood that maybe there was a time limit or something that we weren't aware because there's nowhere to be found/seen and nobody said anything to us when we arrived. When we were trying to pay the host came to rush us in a very rude manner and basically kicked us out because we had been there for a long time... being that is a restaurant and we were still ordering food... I understand that there might be a time limit thing, but the staff could've been nicer AT LEAST in the way they let us know or maybe letting the consumer know sine the arrival time, they could've offered us to move to the bar or another area if we were to keep consuming at the location. Let me start off with the aesthetics of the restaurant. It is beautiful! From the moment you walk through the large wooden doors, the colors are vibrant, the art is engaging, and the restaurant looks like a grown up fairy tale. The food was just as beautiful. Unfortunately looks can be deceiving. We came for the brunch menu on a Sunday. They don't have regular drip coffee, only espresso. Cappuccinos, lattes, espressos are all nice but if you are going to offer brunch I feel like coffee is needed. Moving on....we asked the server about the lobster tostadas (I think they were about $17 per plate). She showed us the size with her hands which seemed like they were like the small street taco size. She said there were five of them on a bed of arugula. We each ordered that plate based on her recommendation and decided to split the watermelon salad. First off these are not street taco size. These are the size of Ritz crackers and they taste more like a cracker than a tostada. There was not much flavor in them. I could see small centimeter cuts of lobster but I could not taste any lobster at all. I'd say there was at most 1 tsp of lobster on the entire plate. It might as well have been a corn salad on a cracker. The menu says cucumber but the flavor notes were corn rather than anything else. This says it's one of their classics but it's more of an appetizer for one. This is not a meal that could sustain anyone unless you have a walnut sized stomach. The watermelon salad was a joke. The only flavor you could taste was tajin on a few bites and arugula. Basically it was just wet arugula. There was cheese but not enough to taste and I'm not even sure they put vinaigrette on the salad. It was just a waste of money. Like I said it was all ascetically beautiful but there were no flavor notes that sparked any interest. Everything was incredibly bland. I was so excited about trying La Neta and I was left super disappointed and hungry. For a brunch for two, we dropped about $70. I read some of the reviews after eating here and I want to address speaking to our waitstaff about the food. I'm guessing that our waitstaff was going through a shift change as they didn't tell us. The waitress that took over our table never refilled our water, offered for another cappuccino, came to see if we needed anything or if our food was up to expectations, and we had to flag someone down to get our check. Stopped by La Neta Cocina y Lounge before an Aviators game for a couple margaritas and appetizers, and it was the perfect pregame spot. It's walking distance to the park right in Downtown Summerlin, which made it super convenient. The vibe was very chill and stylish, plush chairs, low tables, open windows to the outside, and great music playing the whole time really gave it that true lounge feel. They also have bar seating if that's more your style. A huge shoutout to my server Katie, who was phenomenal from start to finish and made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back. As a Vegas local, I've seen this place a lot over the last couple of years so my husband and I thought we'd give it a try... so here's our honest review. AMBIANCE: 4/5 stars. I give them points for creativity. It was plated nicely and they played around with the colors and made it whimsical, but the flavor was sorely lacking. The TRASHQUILES, are just that. Trash. They used the wrong peppers, the wrong flavor profile for the red sauce, the chicken "Tinga" was just stewed chicken. It honestly was an insult to our culture just how horrible these were. I knew in my gut it was going to be horrible when I saw the Kirkland pickled jalapeño wheels garnishing the plate. Breakfast Enchiladas. Enough said. I mean this dish had A LOT of potential. It could have been great but the green sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can, and the potatoes sorely lacked flavor and seasoning. We took one bite of each and couldn't muster anymore. Calamari was fishy but probably the best thing we had... and that's saying a lot considering the dipping sauce was nothing more than just lightly seasoned mayonnaise.... A sad excuse for aioli. The Queso Fundido.... Another sore disappointment. It tasted like the layered shredded cheese on a cast iron and popped it into the microwave. No crust, no bubble, NO FLAVOR.... It was just there. The cast iron wasn't even hot. Did they even put it in the oven? SERVICE: 2/5 stars. We were seated promptly, our drink order was taken right away, and an order of house chips and salsa was immediately brought out. Jada was attentive to refill our drinks, but she disappointed us greatly at the end. After three bites of our food we asked for the check and when she asked if we wanted boxes we said no despite our plates being barely touched. The appropriate response would have been curiosity. "Was everything okay with the food?" At the bare minimum. But all we got was a grimace and our check. All in all, we would not go back. We paid our full check and didn't complain, but we left there and went straight to Mijo at the Durango for a semi edible lunch because we didn't want to drive all the way across town to Flecha at Town Square--where you wouldn't even know that Mark Wahlberg owned it; the food, service, DRINKS are all fantastic. read more

Its small but well maintained maintained. Even after a festival on the down town summerlin lawn it was busy but we were able to grab a seat We loved everything on the happy hour menu. Went in a little early to my groups arrival so I waited in the lounge... my waitress there started off nice and disappeared. When my group got there I wanted to close out with her so she can get her tip and when I asked if I can close out with her she seemed rude. Pulled up my tab on the POS handheld and handed it to another server to hand it to me... did not direct a word to me even though my intentions were to leave her a generous tip. The atmosphere is beautiful and chic. I love the vibe. We went for my birthday during Happy Hour and they have excellent deals and pricing on their drinks and food specials. Initially I did want the oysters on the half shell but they were out of those so I was bummed I couldn't get those on my birthday. But I ended up with the queso dip and flautas which were both delicious! My husband got the street tacos and said they were really good too. The flautas were a favorite for us both. We did order a few drinks and I got the house marg initially. It was not my favorite. I didn't finish it because it just tasted too salty or not enough lime or agave flavor to cut the sour bitter taste. I didn't even drink half of it. But I did switch up to the El Diablo watermelon marg. They were very accommodating bc I do not like spicy drinks or jalapeno drinks so she was happy to make it without the heat. That one was delicious. They had another one that was a Mango jalapeno and she said she can make that without the spicy too, just didn't get a chance to try that one. My husband ordered the el flaco and it was so tasty!! Like a creamy pineapple coconut flavor. Prob the best out of the 3 we tried. For as few people that were there, service was a little slow. We were even sitting at the bar and at one point were the only ones there but it took a while for her to check in on us. We were wanting to try some shots but every time we needed something we had to get her attention, she never came up to us willingly. Server was slow 1 person at our table asked for a suggestion between 2 items and said "ok I will take the waffles when everyone else orders" well she put her order in and she finished her entire meal before our server came and got the rest of our parties order. We weren't til told last call was at 2:30 (brunch is offered 11-3) til we ASKED for another round at 230 on the dot and we told we couldn't order anymore. Our drinks were constantly empty and we kept trying to flag our server down. We asked to speak to the manager and were given a general business card and told to email any concerns. Simply the best! My girlfriends and I went in for the taco Tuesday special where for $35 it was bottomless margs and tacos. The marg selection was limited to only regular or spicy, which wasn't a huge deal. The tacos were carnitas, chorizo and I can't quite remember the other one but they were all good! It came with a complimentary chips and salsa. Our server Dominique was absolutely amazing, continuously checking in on us and making sure that the margs and tacos were flowing. I love the fact that the restaurant has a bar side and a more intimate size where we were seated with our large group. I will definitely recommend to others and be back very soon. This place was on my list to go to, and we finally came. It was happy hour & man they had some good food! LOVED the shrimp ceviche & the Birrira Empanada. Very flavorful. We came to celebrate moving back to California & when the bartender found out, she gave us free shots! How cool! They also took a while to get a couple orders out & gave us more free shots. lol! One reason I wanted to come here, was because of the beautiful decoration. Now, I can say I've been here. I highly recommend the Birrira Empanada !!! read more
