Very interesting crowd at this bar. I must say that the people present looked nothing like those in the pics on the bar's page. The people we met kept talking about East Los and asked us if we knew of some tagging gang. Uh, no. For some reason this bar made me feel really bougie.... Only reason why we went was to visit a friend. As soon as we walked in a man repeatedly yelled at us to buy him shots because it was his birthday. Same guy comes to us at the bar later on to tell us we are "on the menu." Decent price for stiff drinks and good bartending. The jukebox has a wide selection of songs to choose from, and some of the people there were nice enough to let me and my group play some music on their credit. I've been to my share of dives from coast to coast and this DUMP stands out in a bad way because I found a BED BUG sucking the blood out of the top of my hand as I sat and had a beer / shot, their must be a huge nest of them living in the long row of booths. If I'm going to have a cocktail in Norwalk I now go to the Torch Room just down the road, don't have to worry about bugs there. read more

A couple of my friends and I were trying to find something to do on a Wednesday afternoon and we came across a bar in Norwalk. Didn't really have anything in mind when we went in so we decided to have a drink and figure something out from there. So four hours later we leave and just realized what a great time we had. The bartender, "Penny" was awesome. Although she tried to make us watch the cooking channel she was awesome, not to mention hot! 2.50 Pacificos? I guess it's only on Wednesdays but that's awesome! I hear Friday and Saturday nights are pretty good. Haven't checked it out but Penny said DJ Chris Kutz is pretty awesome so I will definitely be coming back to check it out on the weekend. Went here for a friends birthday and it is a fun joint. A pool table, dj although he would inexplicably just stop the music for a bit. Kinda hurt the dance floor but it's a small gripe since what he played was cool. Awesome bartenders, who were fast and friendly. I been coming here for few months Maggie has been my bartender and she's the reason I keep coming bk. Her personality makes my day drinking experience fun. Prices at bar could be more competitive. That's the only reason I give 4 stars versus 5. If the owners would lower the prices just a bit then without a doubt this bar would be best! Great lighting, atmosphere, patrons and bartenders so would totally recommend. They have all Dodger games too. Hope this helps those trying find local hang out bar. read more

This used to be such a sketchy place. I was so glad to roll in here with an old pal for old times' sake only to find everything, including the name, was new and IMPROVED. This is now my favorite local bar, though I stay away fri and sat nights. Rocks, like every other bar in my town, has club nights on the weekend. I hate club nights at bars. And the last club night at a bar I went to was at the Rocks, and was not surprised when half the place cleared out for a good ole' Norwalk style parking lot brawl! But that was months ago.
