    The Blackberry Moscow Mule

The Blackberry Moscow Mule was refreshing, not too sweet, and had the perfect kick. Great flavor, friendly service, and I'd definitely order it again!

Spent my 40th birthday at this venue. This place is a little speakeasy in the rear of an American Legion. They're trying to appeal to the younger crowd and it's a success. My wife booked out the venue on a weekend evening and invited friends and family. Bartender was able to make a Pencillin drink and was very impressed. The decor, lounge area, and bar top were just the right fit for people to drink, chat, and share memories laughing together. Restrooms are clean and convenient. If you want to visit on a weekend, please come have a drink and support the owners purpose for this place. If you want to rent a venue with 20-25 people, please contact them and enjoy the evening. This place was a massive hit and enjoyed every minute of it. Bartenders make incredible drinks and also entertain with his comedy. Seriously, he's a part time comedian!

Came here a few more times. The crowd and staff are great. Friday and Saturday are the busiest. I do have to say they if you're a non-smoker like me, and you don't want to be around it, don't come Thursday. That's cigar day. It got so Smokey that my nose hurt, and it took effort to wash the scent off me at home. I've just never lived with smokers, so I didn't know how bad it can get. Just keep that in mind.

If your weekend plans doesn't include OpSek Post 354 then you're missing out! I visited this speakeasy, the first co-located within an American Legion, while I was in SoCal and it didn't disappoint. The bartenders were not only extremely friendly and welcoming, but also made some tasty handcrafted cocktails as well. I really like the mission behind this cocktail lounge - bring younger veterans together for camaraderie and provide help with resources - and that it's open to all individuals (not just veterans). Sounds like this speakeasy has some cool things in the works and I'll definitely be back when I head back home to SoCal in the future. Staff is super friendly and love the cozy vibe of the place - seating is available at a few 2-4 person tables, at the bar, or in a small room with a large table. Be sure to check their IG for hours and to make reservations!

Service is always great. Love the properly made drinks. Ordered some different drinks and none have been disappointing. Quiet spot where you can just enjoy and conversate.

Cutest entry to the speakeasy ever !

Such a cute little hole-in-the-wall spot! Loved the vibes, and the Old Fashioned was amazing--enjoyed every sip. Just wish they were open on weekdays... I'd be there all the time since it's only 4 minutes from my place.

What an unexpected find. This hidden speakeasy is located inside the American Legion Post Bar. Same owner, but totally different vibes. I won't give up the secret of how to enter the antechamber, but once you do.....you're immediately transported to another time period. This speakeasy is veterans theme. It's one small, dark, intimate room filled with a couple bar stools and tables. There were portraits of important military figures everywhere; adding to the nostalgic feel. On the left, there's an amazing lit bar and friendly bartenders who tend to it. The cocktails they made were tasty and also didn't break the bank. They even were kind enough to let us try some new concoctions they were testing out. This experience was unique. We're definitely be coming back.

A true speak easy hidden within the walls of another business. Drinks are off the chain, off the hook, buck wild!! Great service from Bartender. You can bring food here too.

    Beautiful build out of speakeasy

My husband and I drove all the way from Newport Beach to try this place out and it was worth the drive. First of all the bartender is fantastic and knows his stuff. I love that this is housed inside an American Legion, but you don't have to be a member to come to the speakeasy portion. It is beautifully appointed and it has really inventive drinks. I can't wait to come back!

Good service and loved their drinks! Nice cozy spot to hang out at. We will be returning.

Everything was really good. The food was solid, and the pricing felt fair for today's world--not cheap, but not outrageous either. Honestly, since it's inside a hotel, my expectations weren't sky-high, but the food pleasantly surprised me. I'd definitely come back, especially to try their brunch. The reason it's four stars instead of five comes down to the atmosphere and staffing. The restaurant sits right in the hotel lobby with no walls, so you hear everything--hotel guests coming and going, music playing in the lobby, the TV from the bar, and general foot traffic. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed dinner, this might feel a little overstimulating. Also, our waiter (who was great, by the way) seemed to be doing the job of about three people. He was taking orders, bringing drinks and food, running payments, and even delivering room service. The poor guy was working like he owed the hotel money. On a Friday night, they could definitely use more staff. That said, the food was good, the service was kind, and I'd still come back--next time probably for brunch.

Our friends stepped away from the bar and joined the rest of us at the pool table when she starts throwing up gang signs saying not to mess with her. That's when I noticed she's covered in tattoos; face, neck, back, arms. We assure her we are minding our business and no one wants confrontation. It is located in downtown Fullerton, next to the Les Amis Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurant. We walked in and were greeted immediately. Seating options include tall chairs at the bar, low booths along the front wall across from the bar, and various tables in the main lounge area. All of the chairs look very comfortable. We sat in one of the booths across from the bar. It has a great vibe inside with a dark ceiling and walls, and is lit on the dimmer side. There was light lounge/soft jazz music playing when we visited. They also have live jazz music on some nights. A bowl of nuts, water, and menus arrived quickly. They have a great menu of house-curated cocktails, their spins on classic cocktails, and a large list of whiskeys and other spirits. They also have several food items on the menu. They have private liquor lockers available to store personal bottles for members Before I continue, I have to say that JC, one of the owners, who greeted us and was our server all evening, provided outstanding hospitality. While researching their bar menu online, we saw the cloud cocktail which had a very unique presentation with a burning ember cloud-like display. We came for my girlfriend's birthday, and she knew that would be her first drink. Unfortunately when we tried to order it, they were out of the gas for it. We noticed that the physical menu was a little different than the online menu. Apparently they had just changed the menu and had not updated the website yet. She wanted the Dirty Dill which wasn't on the new cocktail menu, but they were still able to make it. Dirty Dill (Gin, Vodka, Lemon, Pickle Juice, Olive Juice, Milk Washed & Clarified, $19). We could smell pickle on the nose, but when we took a sip, it was very boozy with little pickle or olive flavor. We asked if they could add some more pickle juice, and JC brought us a big shot glass of pickle juice so she could adjust it to her liking. She liked it once she added some more pickle juice. I started out with the Cococacaocoladaclara cocktail (Cacao-Infused Rum, Orange Liquor, Pineapple & Lime Juice, Coconut Milk Clarified, $18). This wasn't quite what I was expecting, and I had a hard time picking out the flavors. It was definitely strong and boozy. We were finishing our first round when we spotted JC walking towards our table with a cloud! He managed to find whatever it takes to make the effect, and we were very appreciative. I have seen a lot of presentations, and this was definitely a unique one. The birthday shot was very good, and he said the ingredients were mezcal, lavender, and lemon. Old Fashioneds have been growing on me lately. After the great presentation of the cloud, I had to try the Sinatra Old Fashioned (Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select, one dash of chocolate Bitters, $40). It is served in a rotating crystal glass, lit from underneath, with a clear ice sphere. Again, the presentation was great, and it was the smoothest old fashioned I've ever had. She had her eye on the Tuk Tuk for her second drink (Coconut Fat Washed Rum, Supasawa, Pandan Syrup, Mango Syrup, Rice Garnish, $18). She asked if it was very sweet, and he said that it was indeed quite sweet. Instead, she opted for the Firefox (Vodka, Pomegranate, Lemon, Vanila, Rose Liquor, Cherry Bitters, $18). Once again, this cocktail had a great presentation. It's served in a short, wide glass that sits perfectly on top of a piece of petrified-looking wood. You hold the glass with both hands and sip it like a bowl of soup. It was very balanced and smooth, with a nice tartness and light sweetness. JC stopped by again to check on our second round. A few minutes later he surprised us again, and returned with shot sized versions of the Tuk Tuk to sample. It was definitely on the sweeter side with good coconut and pandan flavor. We probably would have tried a third round, but we had dinner and a drink before coming here. Their menu of house-curated cocktails is impressive, and features many uncommon ingredients. We had a good time, but JC went the extra mile for us all night long and made it a great time. We will definitely return again.

Could not have been happier. From the moment we walked through the heavy wooden door (fancy!) until we left- the host, the waitress, server, manager and even the owner were amazingly attentive and welcoming. When it's your birthday they put a nice sign at your table and everyone stops by to wish you an amazing bday. They also check in to make sure you're having a good time and enjoying your delicious meal. Now for the food: fresh, al dente and tasty. All adjectives you want running through your mind after the first bitesss. We ordered stuffed mushroom- hot and nicely seasoned. Mushrooms not overcooked and stuffing not overly cheesy. The shrimp linguine another hit with fresh tomatoes and jumbo shrimp with a nice snap. The light seasoning with lots of garlic was just perfect. We also ordered the beef short ribs. My friend said it melted on her mouth and the fresh mash potatoes- just right. Did I mention the portions were huge! Lots of goodies to take with us. To add to the dining experience we watched as patrons steadily came and went throughout the evening. You can tell this is a favorite for many. There were High-5s, handshakes and lots of "Welcome back friends!" Just an overall beautifully decked out neighborhood restaurant with so much heart and soul. I heard that the restaurant has been handed down from their grandparents... I'm sure they would be very proud. Highly recommend.

The meal started out well with the Caprese, which was actually good. Next came our entree, the carbonara was even worse and by far the biggest disappointment of the meal--the pasta was so overcooked that the sauce completely dried up and turned into scrambled eggs. The "poached egg" on top was also completely well-done, so it literally felt like eating boiled eggs with dry, bland pasta. After that, they brought out our other appetizer, the stuffed mushrooms, which were also noticeably under-seasoned. Finally, the pizza arrived, which was decent, but it's pretty hard to mess up a pizza. The service just made everything worse. Our server told us right at the beginning that sourdough bread was coming out, but it never arrived--we only realized it after we paid the check. Our water glasses were never refilled once throughout our stay. To top it off, when the desserts were brought out, our server just dropped them in the middle of our large table without giving us any small plates and completely disappeared. Because we were seated at the large table, it was really awkward for everyone to reach and share. Since our server was nowhere to be found, we actually had to flag down a completely different server just to get small plates. Our original server only finally resurfaced when we asked for the check. Between the bland food and the total lack of basic service, we definitely won't be coming back.

I don't drink alcohol but seeing duck & portola coffee intrigued me so I wanted to go check it out. It is a small space and very dark but such a chill spot. My friends and I were expecting a cool spot with mediocre food and were seriously blown away by how delicious the food was. Every dish I tried was really unique and different in the most unexpected amazing way. This is now my favorite restaurant of the moment! *Cheese & Bread: Delicious brie, I loved the pistachios and flowers. *Chicken & Lemongrass: I cannot tell you how much I love the light crispyness of the skin and the flavor. This is the BEST chicken wings I've ever had in my life! *Short ribs: These fell right off the fork so tender and were quite tasty but what was most impressive is the balance between all the items in the dish. The smoked carrots were nothing I've ever had and even the non-vegetable eater in our group loved them. *Key Lime & Yuzu Creme Brulee: This looks like a creme brulee but tastes like key lime. This dessert has now made it up to my top three. *grapefruit mocktail: the seasoning along the side of the glass really enhances the drink. however, what i noticed about all the drinks is the ice cubes. they were beautifully square shaped and the most clear ice cubes i've ever seen in my life. why am i so excited about ice cubes? i learned they're special ice cubes from Japan! I forgot the name of our server but she was GREAT and so was the rest of the staff. Just great vibes all around. I'm planning to return very very soon and I don't even care about the parking situation, it's totally worth it!
