It was good and came with ramen, rice cakes, sausages, Spam, and much more. It's pretty much what you'd expect from an army stew. Solid overall, and it also comes with a bowl of rice. (4/5) Soy Garlic Wings - We got a half chicken, and these were good. TBH, they were a bit less flavorful and crispy than some of the other Korean wing spots I've been to, but if you prefer a lighter flavor, these definitely hit the spot. Solid. (4/5) Kimchi Chicken Sandwich - This was delicious. I'd never had a chicken sandwich with kimchi before, but it works really well. Honestly, a half-size chicken is the perfect portion for two people to share. Coleslaw is good but the cabbage pieces are cut pretty big. Wanted to try a new chicken spot. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I got their chicken tenders, rooster fries, half fried chicken, kimchi chicken sando, and honey chicken to try. All their chicken was super tender and juicy but not very crispity crunchity. The tenders came with a liquidy slightly sweet garlicy sauce and some sweet crunchy lightly mayoy coleslaw. The rooster fries were loaded with cut up chicken tenders, mayo, cheese, bacon, spicy jalapeños, and a sweet gochujangy sauce. Since they were so loaded tho it did kinda all get soggy. The half fried chicken was a little more crunchy and came with some more of that gochujang sauce for dipping and crunchy pickled radish. The kimchi chicken sando was massive and had a thick dark meat piece of chicken smothered in more sweet sticky gochujang sauce, crunchy tangy pickles and kimchi, spicy jalapeños, nutty lettuce and rich mayo all on a soft chewy pretzel bun. The honey chicken came with some veggies and rice, had good grilled flaves and was pretty much like a teriyaki chicken. I guess I'm the fly in the ointment. I got a kimchi chicken sandwich and an order of CT fries. Items that appeared spicy in a cuisine known for its heat. Were they spicy and crispy and delicious? No. They were sweet. Gaggingly, cloyingly, infuriatingly sweet. Like someone had gently soaked them in syrup. The fries were literally soggy, there was so much sweet sauce on them! I went from one item to the next, somehow hoping that they would get better. They did not. A few bites in, I wrapped it up. Thought, "Maybe someone at home will like this." Pretty delicious meal, slightly pricey but you get your protein and rice. The angry chicken isn't really that spicy so it was still enjoyable. The char on the chicken adds more flavor. The rice is good, not overcooked or undercooked. Okay, that was delicious! My husband and I tried their CT Chicken Sandwich - it was so flavorful and crispy. We demolished ours so quickly so that was the only photo I was able to capture. We also tried the half order of soy garlic chicken, which was just as delicious. The staff were friendly and the service was relatively fast, even if you do have to wait while they cook everything to order. It's a nice spot and it's clean although we took our order to go. This place is not a chain from what I understand, and there are literally hundreds of other Spicy Chimkin sando spots. This is legit on my Top 5. It was super fresh hot out the fryer. The kimcho and Jaw-la-puh-nose put it on a whole nubba-level. Have not tried other items but will def come back to try the stews and some of their fries.
