I typically avoid the mall at all costs, but today I went inside. And I wouldn't be honest if I didn't say that the thought of one of these candy apples didn't influence my venture. The smell of this place is heavenly, and as someone who loves making candied apples and candy in all its forms, this place is literally inspirational. I LOVE candied apples and today my sister and I shared a Snickers-inspired one. It was perfect. They boxed it in a cute, perfectly sized box and sliced it into easy to eat sections. There was a long line, but it moved quickly. It would be great, to be met with enthusiasm if you plan to spend $13.00 on a single candied apple, but the employees seemed a bit apathetic. Certainly that kind of dampened the vibe, but other than that... it's all good. read more

Located in the Concord Mills mall, this store is across from Dick's Sporting Goods. What attacted me to this place was the candied apples all lined up in different flavors and colors. I picked out the strawberry shortcake apple. It was placed in a cardboard container and I asked that they didn't cut it for instant consumption. Overall, great chocolate boxes that would match a See's candies with the bear that guards the chocolate. read more

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!! The prices here have doubled within two years! I used to buy a red candy apple each time I went to the mall for $4.12. Last year the price increased to $6, and this year it was $8! That will be my last one!!! I sure wish my salary increased like that! Wouldn't that be nice! And on top of the price increase, there wasn't as much red candy on it either. The least expensive thing I saw was was three small stemmed cherries dipped in chocolate for $4. Never again! read more

Was in the mood for something sweet while shopping at Concord Mills. Just like what others have said, the sweet, sweet smell pulls you toward its little shop. You can smell the chocolate a mile away. They have so many options to choose from: fudge, truffles, candy apples, cookies and ice cream just to name a few. It's hard to choose once you're inside. My S.O. decided on chocolate fudge and I a chocolate chip cookie. I tasted a sample of their monster candy apple. That was delicious. The ingredients look and tasted fresh. We enjoyed both our treats. The service was fast and very friendly. All the associates were willing to help and answer questions. read more

They have the best candy apples I have ever tasted and the widest selection I have ever seen. The scent alone causes me to follow my nose into the store. Other than candy apples they also carry a pretty big selection of other chocolatey goods. Another plus, they have sugar-free treats. Prices could be considered a tad steep, but it is definitely good quality and freshly made stuff. read more

I love coming here. My husband wanted a chocolate covered apple so I figured we would stop by on our way home. I had some family visiting so we got a few treats. I got a chocolate covered m&m apple My husband got a chocolate covered m&m Reese's apple. My sister got a huge chocolate chip cookie My sisters boyfriend got a swirl white and chocolate apple. The lady checking us out was super Awesome. I didn't get to tell her in enough time about not cutting an apple. She got one slice in and I started to say something. Then I stoped because she already made the slice. She turned and told me that she would be more than happy to get another one for me. I wasn't expecting that. I told her just to give me the apple she cut and she refused. She got me a whole one. She was AWESOME. I didn't want it to go to waste which is why I still would have taken the sliced apple. But she cared about what I wanted more. She was super amazing. I think her name was Melody. I would hate to be wrong but she was young and super nice. read more

I recently won a giveaway and I received the unicorn Apple, a s'mores apple and a box of assorted chocolates. It was AMAZING! Not only was the unicorn apple cute as ever, it actually tasted really great as well. I am a sucker for s'mores so of course I thoroughly enjoyed the other apple and the s'mores type chocolate in the box. The store has a variety of different treats for any and every body. They have then in mall so I should definitely treat myself after a long day of shopping. They will also cut the apple up for you in-store so you can devour it ASAP. I would never ever go to this location again, and I mean that. I go to this place, well used to all of the time and my most recent experience was absolutely horrible. My wife and I stood waiting for 5 minutes or so for someone to help, no one said anything. Ms attitude (the light skinned chic) was very very rude, even slammed our apples in the box while packing them, mind you we didn't have an attitude at all, but mind you, she dropped one of the apples on the floor! My wife became very upset as she didn't give us a bag or anything, we had to ask for that...smh. My wife at that point after giving them a second chance didn't say anything and Ms Attitude got another apple and boy I thought she was butchering meat cutting it! To say the least we requested a refund and left, never to return again. Our new location which we've visited before is the North Lake Mall location. Very very friendly service fro the gentleman there and great apples! We spend at least close to 200 a month at or better at Rocky Mountain being that our kids love it to. Thumbs down to this location. read more

This place is not created equal, although there may be a few out there, the one located in concord mills is my favorite. The strawberries are good, one thing I would not recommend is the frozen banana thing, eeks, not nummy. I am an advocate for the "Monster Apple" sliced please. read more

YUM! The apples are incredibly, you can opted for a special apple for $6.95 or a more plain variety for around $4. In addition to apples they of course, have chocolate. A large display case of various assortments of truffles and the life. The staff is also very helpful. read more

I had the pleasure of stopping into Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory while on vacation in North Carolina this spring. The variety of chocolates and dipped apples was quite large for the relatively small size of the store. I purchased a couple different things and they were all extremely delicious! I really enjoyed the English Toffee. The only negative was that the woman who helped me followed my every step and did not take her eyes off me a single time while in the store so it was hard for me to concentrate/make a decision on what I wanted to purchase. Maybe that's just a North Carolina customer service thing, I don't know. read more

We spotted caramel apples while we were in the mall shopping and thought what a wonderful thing to have for dessert later, so I got one to take home. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed with a caramel apple! I have NEVER EVER bitten into a caramel apple and my face puckered up because the apple was so SOUR. What a waste! So, I basically ate the caramel and the apple peel and threw the majority of the sour apple away. I will not get a caramel apple from them ever again. read more

The smell of places like Rocky Mountain, always make my eyes roll back into my head and my mouth forms a slight druel that I need to slurp back in. I can't really say that Rocky Mountain is any more special than any other chocolatiers you can go to, but it's still great. The service was helpful and friendly and the prices were reasonable. The chocolate and fudge? Pretty darn great! Try: Something you love covered in chocolate (I like the covered oreos) Avoid: That gigantic peanut butter cup you've been eyeing.
