Rocky Mountain has the best rocky road and I also enjoy their caramel apples, Located at the Folsom outlets, this store was small but well stocked. The employee was polite and service was fast. On this visit it was a very warm day so I was thankful the AC worked great. I perused the selection of premium and gourmet assorted chocolates, caramel apples, dipped berries, fudge and more!! Have ordered multiple times through doordash. Usually get 3 or 4 different caramel apples. Out of the approx. 30 that I ordered in the past, only one has been bad on the inside. I don't blame the store though as you can't always tell if an apple is good by looking at the inside and it's not like they cut them open to check before dipping. I really love their chocolate dipped strawberries, but $25 for a 4 pack through doordash is an obscene amount to charge. I will occasionally stop in person to get a couple though. And their toffees are the best. The English toffee is my favorite, can't ever seem to walk/drive by the store without stopping to get some. read more

Peanut Clusters Wow! I just re-read my original review I posted over 11 years ago... this store has been a fixture at the Folsom Outlets. I purchased 3-pcs of milk chocolate peanut clusters (my favorite)... ate one piece as we were walking around the outdoor mall, took my first bite... chocolate was hard and crumbly. I wonder how old is the chocolate and how long has it been sitting in the display case. I also bought a bar of Chocolate Crisp... I've not opened it yet but I hope it's better than the chocolate peanut clusters. Who doesn't like chocolate candy! Well look no further than this amazing candy store located in the Folsom Premium Outlets. My absolute fav is specifically Rocky Road chocolate candy. Dark chocolate, marshmallows and nuts! Is there really anything better than that?:) This is a really cute, small candy house with loads of different candy choices. Pictures included just to make you drool!!! Popped in to get a couple of pounds of rocky road marshmallow for my GFs birthday. She was lucky to get the 1-pound box... because the other one was consumed before I could get it to her LOL. I really liked they give veterans a discount! They so deserve! I would give zero Stars if I could. I bought caramel apples on a Wednesday afternoon. Don't do that they are guaranteed to be rotten. And then she tries to tell you because they're unnatural product that it sometimes rots. No chick, you're selling old food because you don't want to lose the profit! So anyways I bought the apples went and had an amazing $90 steak dinner came home and ate my apples. Keep in mind I live over an hour away. Vomited up my expensive steak dinner because of her rotten apples. They were moldy and I have pictures!! Then when you call to complain to the owner she hangs up on you. I am calling the Better Business Bureau, I am calling the Health Department and doing whatever I can to get her franchise taken away from her and shut down. First off when I got here there was no one in the store for over 10 minutes, no response to all of the times I yelled hello. Then after I purchased a $7 Carmel Apple, which was very dry and and obviously not fresh, I got to the bottom of the Apple and found it was covered in mold. I went back to the store to tell her the Apple was moldy, and to ask for a refund, and she offered another Apple (she could offer me nothing else, not even a simple $7 refund). I was a bit more than surprised at the price tag of the two candy items I picked: -Peanut Butter Bark (1 piece, ~4x5") and -Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Bucket (1 piece, ~3 or 4" around) (basically a peanut butter cup). These two items came to just under $8. I was briefly ok with the price, because I thought that the chocolaty peanut buttery goodness would be mind blowing. Are you kidding me? Dark chocolate! Peanut butter! I was ready to make this place my second home. However, I was pretty disappointed with the product, once I tried it. I may have erred when I ordered the bark...I'm thinking now that I may not be a bark person, or something. My bad. However, the Peanut Butter Bucket was a sure thing for me because I would happily LIVE on peanut butter cups for the rest of my days, and I am quite sure I will never order these particular peanut butter cups again. Ever. The chocolate was good, but the peanut butter inside was not like real peanut butter; it was some kind of a sugary blend with fake peanut butter. Great location in the Folsom Outlets (near Coach Factory Store). The place smells really scrumptious when you walk in. Lots of cute stuffed animals (Hello Kitty!) and tons of sweets to make your mouth water. But....very pricey. We got a caramel apple the other day and they charged us $8. Seriously?!? So I asked to use my Entertainment Book coupon for Rocky Mountain Chocolate. I think it was 10-15% off an item. Not a lot but something, right? The employee called her boss/owner, said a few sentences in an Indian dialect, hung up and told us that they don't accept coupons. She pointed out the line that said, "Valid at participating locations" and stated that they aren't a participating location. I get that store owners want to increase profits and are trying to make as much money as possible, but wouldn't you attract more customers if you allowed them to use a simple coupon? You'd make customers happier, bring in more clientele, and increase revenue based on more customers walking into your store. Instead, every time I walk past the store, I think about how cheap the store owners are, and how all the prices are inflated. How things would be different if they hired a more outgoing staff that smiles more, accepts corporate coupons happily, and makes customers feel more valued. read more

Yummy yum! I Camel apples and fudge have got to be the best invention ever. This place is located in the Folsom outlets so it is a great place to drop into if you are out shopping for the day. The staff is super sweet and friendly and the chocolate is delicious. They will let you sample whatever you are looking for and the staff is very helpful and attentive. The place is always neat and clean. It is a little pricey, but it is well worth it. Always a good experience. read more

Store looked amazing, so we went in for some hot chocolate, we asked for a cup carrier because we had 5 hot chocolates, but they didn't have any so as we are leaving my friend accidentally dropped the hot chocolate and while it was our fault it was a mistake, and the owner started yelling at us and making us feel bad. We apologized and she was still yelling because she had to clean it up. Never going here because they got a way about making customers feel like crap. read more

I came here on September 20th early afternoon and was really craving a caramel apple. The caramel apple that I got was rotten in the middle just like one of the previous reviews. I only got a few good bites and noticed when I reached the middle. Oh well right, it's not like they can tell if it looks beautiful on the outside. But what made me so upset and why this place deserves a single star is because the girl behind the counter wasn't wearing any gloves when she was touching the marshmallows and poking a stick through it. Entered the store and was stared at but not greeted. The lady working was on a personal call the whole time and was happy to stare daggers at me every time I had the nerve to interrupt her call to ask about my purchase. After spending $15 on 2 apples I asked if I could sample a small piece of chocolate which I intended on buying. She refused. I explained that I was planning on buying some, and had already spent a ridiculous amount for two apples. She insisted that I couldn't try a sample then walked away from me. Truffles are rich and tasty, caramel apples are delish. Everything is pricey and the store itself is really small and not very busy for the most part. The staff has always been friendly. I used to come here years ago when I lived across the street. It used to be so yummy. Unfortunately I cannot say that was true of our last visit. We should've known by the color of the chocolates on display that we would be greatly disappointed. I'm no chocolatier but when I see gray/white coloring on my chocolate, I know that it has been refrigerated and not kept very well. We order several different things. Chocolate covered cherries, 2 different chocolates and a white chocolate and milk chocolate covered pretzel sticks. We literally took a bite of the chocolates and had to spit it out. Their flavoring tastes so off and weirdly intense. Not in a good way. Like eating soap and chocolate. Yuck! The pretzel sticks were ok, just a bit stale. We will not be going back. Seriously came in here to buy a water! So there was one girl working n she didn't greet us which ok yeah she was helping someone.. Then another woman walked in looked me up n down like I was disgusting or something!! She then said something to the other girl in their language. She asks me are we ready? Big fan of RMC's candied apples. Stopped in at the one at Folsom Outlets while xmas shopping; got a Rocky Road candied apple and a chocolate dipped strawberry. The strawberries were a little steep at $3.99 each but was well worth it. They were huge, juicy, and fresh and it was so good that we went in and spent another $3.99 on another one =) read more
