    So pretty and pink!
    Lizz H.

Mouth wateringly exceptional! A delicate creamy taste of magic. Soft beauty. My personal fav is always the salty caramel ice cream sandwiched between two high-end, quality macarons... winter, spring, summer, and fall. And where better to have this luscious treat than in the pretty and pink ambiance of the Ginger Elizabeth Chocolate "salon". Service matches the lovely environment perfectly. Day or night. Heavenly.

Absolutely love GE. The chocolates are just superior compared to any other chocolate out there. The texture, flavor and design, of these chocolates are just perfection! Don't just stop at the chocolates but even the cookies, cupcakes, hot chocolate, coffees and even the ice cream and ice cream sandwiches and seasonal ice cream pints are just amazing. I've been a customer of GE for so long basically ever since she opened her J Street shop. Service at GE is wonderful. Staff are always so friendly and helpful. Parking is not an issue, plenty of spots.

My family and I stopped by after our massages, and I've been wanting to try this place for a while--so I was excited! As soon as we walked in, the ambiance was super inviting--pink, cute, and just a really fun vibe. They had a whole wall of goodies like hot chocolate, Easter eggs filled with Dubai-style chocolate (peanut butter and hazelnut), and we even got to sample a lavender caramel, which was so good. They're known for their macarons, so we grabbed a box along with some coconut chocolates. We also got to try a macaron ice cream sandwich--and I can't lie, it was amazing. I actually went back after dinner and bought three more because I couldn't stop thinking about it! The staff were so welcoming and helpful, which made the experience even better. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more items.

Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates in Folsom has been on my radar for a long time. It's conveniently located in Broadstone Marketplace. Restaurant is pretty in pink, a perfect pit stop for a dessert or coffee date. There is an Instagrammable wall of pink, rosy, and gold draped fabrics. Service was stellar, attentive and willing to answer questions and share product information. Customers were offered samples of the Glazed Lemon Cookie. I was even allowed a taste of the vanilla ice cream. Vanilla Bean Macaron Soft Serve Ice Cream is blended with macarons, so it is packed with almond flavor. You can also see the vanilla bean flecks. The ice cream is also decorated with crunchy mini macaron wafers. $6 for 5 oz or $8 for 8 oz. You can add Sea Salt Caramel Sauce or Chocolate Fudge Sauce for $1.50. No Frozen Chocolate ice cream at this location currently. Salty Caramel was the only Ice Cream Macaron Sandwich flavor available here. Oaxachan Spice Hot Chocolate and most of the other hot cocoas use 53% semisweet chocolate. The Sipping Chocolate uses 70% bittersweet chocolate, and the Vegan Classic hot chocolate uses 62% semisweet chocolate. You can add Whipped Cream or House-Made Vanilla Bean Marshmallows to your hot cocoa. I loved the marshmallows, of which you can buy a baton for $9.50. Hot chocolate was a bit too sweet and rich for me, but I'm sure most would enjoy it. I actually was quite delighted with the complimentary iced water infused with cucumbers and lemon. Very refreshing, and you really could taste the cucumber. I also ordered these chocolates at $2.85 each. I'll list them in the order I liked them most: 1. Bergamot Orange Blossom 2. Hazelnut Praline 3. Caramelized Milk & Coffee 4. Brown Sugar Crème Brûlée 5. Brown Butter 3-5 are the safe bets, the chocolates customers probably try most. I was recommended to select chocolates based on my taste preferences, so it ended up the first 2 were my favorites. One employee also said Bergamot Orange Blossom was her favorite. Another employee said his favorite was Buttermilk Lime. It costs more to have the chocolates packaged in a box because you're paying for the dainty box, but make sure to handle with care if you have them packaged in the small plastic sleeve. I don't think pastries, like croissants, cream puffs, or cruffins, are offered here. Only macarons, cookies, and cake slices. The Salty Caramel macaron is the tasty bestseller. Macarons are also $2.85 each. Enticing decadent menu. Stop by Ginger Elizabeth to satisfy your sweet tooth.

An amazing addition to the Folsom area! Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates is already well known in the Sacramento area for their high quality treats, and this new location makes them even more accessible to more of our community. The shopping plaza has plenty of parking and the store is beautifully decorated. There are seats available if you'd like to enjoy your treats at the store. There are shelf stable treats on display as well as their latest chocolates, macarons, cakes, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. They also offer hot chocolate, coffee and soft serve. Everything here is high quality, delicious, and I love that they source local ingredients. Their staff is always friendly, and they're happy to answer any questions you have. They also package purchases so nicely, and it's a perfect spot to shop for gifts. Keep an eye out for specials and seasonal menu items. Since they source local ingredients there are also seasonal offerings that are always so delicious. Also Jam Day is not to be missed- so good!

Ginger Elizabeth is a beautiful little shop with high-end chocolates, cookies and other treats. I've come a few times now since it makes a great gift for friends and family. They have some assortments you can get but I like choosing my own. I've done a six piece small box and a splurge of the 24-piece box that I bought for my mom and we got to share. The chocolates are exquisite, made from local ingredients. Each bite is an experience in itself. The shop is super cute too with lots to look at. The staff are very friendly and helpful with questions. I love when you buy a box it also comes beautifully packaged, appropriate for the quality of the chocolates.

12/5/25 First by time checking out this cute lil sweet shop. Upon entering, there were 2 friendly ladies that welcomed me in. I was able to try a bite of the Almond Rasberry Slice and it was delicious. My son devoured the rest. The chocolate was definitely quality than many other chocolate shops. The prices are a bit steep but you get what you pay for. The macaron ice cream was calling my name but I'll have to bring my boys back for that. They were huge!

I am a forever fan of Ginger Elizabeth from her locations on L street, J street, and now the newest store in Folsom. My family attended the most recent Jam day and I attended the Grand Opening which was so much fun. If you've never been, do yourself a favor and check it out next time you're in Folsom. Some of my favorites: -Anything from the hot chocolate menu (they have a vegan version; hot chocolate comes with a choice of housemade marshmallows or whipped cream -Macarons (some of the best I've had which includes macarons in Napa and New York) Favorite flavors include salted caramel, almond vanilla, peppermint, and especially coconut cream pie -Jams -Salted caramel jar -Frozen hot chocolate and ice cream social creations (these are seasonal) Service is exceptional as well.

So excited for this high end chocolate shop in Folsom! I've been to other locations in Sacramento and the quality is outstanding - chocolates, macarons, cookies, ice cream, coffees and other assorted treats. This trip I got the hot chocolate with whipped cream. It is rich, creamy and chocolatey - nothing like the hot chocolate you get at other coffee places.

Came in for a sweet treat and was not disappointed! This location is in a shopping mall with many businesses which makes it easy to access! We walked in and it was so cute and pink! Ordered a macaroon a chocolate and a very delicious hot chocolate. For the hot chocolate I wanted the sweeter and the sweet worker suggested the American hot chocolate and I got an 8oz (5.75) with marshmallows instead of whip. Let me tell you the home made marshmallows were so good they melted and created this velvety top before surprising me with the insanely good hot chocolate. It's very decadent and delicious. I already can't wait to come back and bring my little sister! The ambiance was so sweet, clean and I loved that there was infused water that is so important when you're overdosing on chocolate!

Finally got the chance to check out Ginger Elizabeth for a sweet little coffee-and-dessert outing with some family and friends and it did not disappoint! Now, I know most folks come here for the chocolate (and hey, no judgment), but this visit was all about the coffee and ice cream. The kids went straight for the ice cream, while I treated myself to the affogato and WOW. That chocolate base? Incredible. The macaron on top? Chef's kiss. Once I stirred it all together, it definitely became more of a dessert drink than a coffee, but honestly, I wasn't mad about it. It was decadent, sweet, and totally hit the spot. The kids were in heaven with their hot chocolate and vanilla macaron ice cream, zero complaints, only happy sugar highs. The staff were fantastic, friendly, fast, and on top of it. Nice clean location with ample seating. Definitely coming back for round two (and maybe next time I'll try the chocolate... maybe).

I frequent the midtown shop as it was always a lovely treat for our out of town friends and family. I was stoked to learn about this new location. This new shop was adorable and charming! Very warm, cozy yet stylish interior. The shop has plenty of space to seat while enjoying their delicious treats! I totally love the vibe. The staff were super friendly and it's so cute that they were as excited as I was of this new location. This shop is convenient located at a strip mall with lots of parking. Aside from the delectable chocolates, macarons and other goodies to enjoy, the soft serve is a new addition. The hot chocolate soft serve I had with cookie crumble toppings was silky light, smooth and creamy! Will definitely be back for more deliciousness!

Can't believe it took me ten years living here to try them. Everything was so good, also gluten friendly, I had no reaction from the macaroons

The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had the chance to chat with Julian himself along with a couple other staff members, and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The stars of the meal were definitely the breakfast wrap and the bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be dreaming about that croissant until then.

We drop by Handel's ice cream every once a while, but our last visit was for Father's day as I told…read moremy husband I would treat him to any ice cream he wanted, and he picked Handel's. When we arrived, the line was long. It was all the way to the street but we figured, whelp we have nothing going on, might as well join the party! To our surprise, the line moved fast, it did give us enough time to debate what we wanted. I opted for the Salty Caramel Truffle waffle scoop, while my husband opted for 4 favor sampler with Banana cream pie, Pistachio, Monkey Business and Sticky fingers. We liked all of them, but we definiely agree the ice ceam flavors are heavier here, likely taliored to a younger audience. As I get older, I find myself opting for simple flavors like Stracciatella instead of my old favorite of chocolate brownie. So while I enjoyed my Salty Caramel Truffle, the saltyness and the generous amount of caramel truffles were a bit too much for me. The portion was very generous and that didn't help the overwhelming flavor bomb. My husband mentioned that he enjoyed the banana cream pie and pistachio flavors more than the more complicated ones. Overall, we like Handel's and always appreciate the various options and the friendly service. Next time we plan to share a four scoop sample and opt for simple flavors.
