He called me a few weeks later to say your lamp is ready for pick up. Excellent repairs. So the shop looks a bit cluttered, and I commented that it looked like he had just about everything lamps. Yes, they do from every shape and style of shade to glass bulbs, to fixtures, switches, bulbs, to antiques, to new stuff -- they appear to have just about everything for lighting and lamps. A Omega Marine chronometer - very obscure piece. I take it to a high end jeweler They send it to Zurich because there the only ones who can work on it. about a year and $400 later I have a new battery which promptly lasts 6 months. So I take it to fast fix and say "doubt you can work on this" Watch guy says I have heard of this but never worked on one let me take a look. So off to Perrys for lunch. 40 minutes later your Omega is done. You opted for the lifetime battery thats $70 . This watch only runs 5-6 month at a time. Brought it in recently as it was dead again. Lunch at Perry's and its working - new battery - no charge. So watch number 2 a 20 year old Rado made of synthetic sapphire/ceramic composite. I manage to break the custom clasp messing with it myself. Tiny parts fly across the room disappearing in my carpet for eternity. Off to two high end Jewlers. - We wont touch that send it to Rado in Switzerland. Be prepared for a huge bill. So on a whim I take it to FF and say what about this? This thing obviously spooked them as they are extremely hard to work on without damaging the bracelet that can cost in the 4 digits to replace. So I say take a look and f you can fix it go for it - entire staff sees this as a challenge. People are looking at it under microscopes to figure out how the original clasped worked. Gauntlet down - back to Perrys. I get a call 90 minutes later well we managed to repair it but we want to make sure your good with the cost of doing so. I as quoted a very reasonable figure that was an order of magnitude less than Rado. Whats shocking is there are no stock parts for this watch. They literally manufactured a tiny compression spring/rod with sub millimeter precision. Why? Because its a interesting piece and we appreciate your enthusiasm for fine watches and a challenge too. To people who say batteries cost a buck why is it so much. Well the sutures the surgeon put in cost a few cents plus some plasma anesthetic etc. Why was a transplant $300000 because there's years of training, supplies electricity, building a hospital and paying its staff. I feel like I got a surgical team on my watch complete with tiny instruments, microscopes, laser cutters and well trained personnel. Do the math - in my case it was WELL worth it. I cant vouch for other locations but I found the service here epic

Only the dial markers were reattached, and now there is no longer time to have the watch repaired before I need to wear it for an event. I could have had it repaired elsewhere in the same amount of time if they had let me know it would not be possible to repair it while it was in their possession. I'm honestly super upset to come back to pay for my watch to be repaired and learn that it still doesn't work. I didn't assume that keeping time was part of the service, I specifically asked for it to be able to keep time as part of the work order. No one called me, no one communicated that this would not be done. Instead they just played with my watch while real professionals could have been repairing it. Very upsetting.

I had a pre-approval for $2800 through Snap Finance. They give you a credit line from Discover that you can only use at certain stores which is why I went here in the first place. I walk in and start dealing with Troy and things were going great. Then the owner walks over and start asking what I am trying to purchase. We tell him it's a MacBook Pro. He asks how I'm paying and then he asks how much I was approved for. I told him that that was none of his business and that he could just tell me the price of the laptop and I would pay it. The particular MacBook I was getting retails at Best Buy for $1800. This guy asks how I was paying again and I tell him that I didn't want to tell him how much I was approved for because then he would try and mark it up more or try and sell me more stuff. I finally tell him that I'm approved for $2800. This dude looks me in the face and says, "If you want this laptop I need to get $3600. I said, "What are you talking about? It's a $1800 laptop." He starts saying, "yeah but I can't lose money on the deal and that it cost him $1000/day just to open the doors". Here is the best part. He says, "The lowest I can do is $2800". Interesting. The exact amount I told him I was approved for. I went off at this point. I said, "How the hell do you think you can mark something up 100%. ($1800 laptop and he wants to charge $3600) Troy the employee says, "He's not getting financing through us he has an approval and it's just a Discover card we can run like any other credit card." Then the owner start giving me a sob story about how hard it is to stay in business and that he's essentially losing money. I know they markup the devices by about 20% because I've purchased 3 laptops from them. So I was willing to pay about $2160 for the laptop. Finally the owner agreed to $2199. And since it was only a few buck more than I was expecting I agreed. I payed for the laptop and got my receipt and then asked him if he could go get the laptop at the "warehouse". He refused to go get it until I gave him a 5 star review on google and here. The reason they have so many 5 star ratings is that he either holds your device hostage until you give him a review or else he offers you some small trinket to leave the review. I've done business here three times and the other two were fine but stay away from the owner.

I told him that as I was taking it out of the box. Then he said, I wouldn't be interested in this piece. Next, I took out a beautiful watch and he took a brief look at it and said, there's been some wear on the buckle clasp so I wouldn't be interested. Of course there has been a little wear, it's a wrist watch however there want that much wear because I have only worn it twice. This guy had MAJOR attitude and it's like he didn't even want to be bothered.
