I've been here twice now, and I love this place. The food is great, the location is easy to get to from HWY 1 and the staff is super friendly. I love getting to sit by the open pizza oven, I'm usually coming back from skiing and am frozen. Great place to thaw out I've had several of the flatbreads, pasta, soup, (we are big sharers) and everything has been awesome, sometimes an unexpected combo that is surprisingly good! I tried this place out after being recommended it from some locals in Canmore. I have to say that this is one of THE best flatbread places I have ever tried. The service was fast, efficient and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. My boyfriend and I were super impressed by the quality of the food. We ordered the pear and chicken flat bread with the Italian meat half and half large flat bread and it was amazing!!! I also ordered a nice little cocktail on the side with raspberries and rum and omg it was yummy. I highly recommend coming here and trying this place out anytime you are in Canmore. The place get super busy usually around 6pm so I recommend coming before then to ensure that you get a table and don't have to wait too long. This was a great find on the edge of downtown Canmore! Our table of 4 went all-in on sharing everything so we could try a bunch of things. Our waitress was very patient and helpful while we debated way too long on what 4 pizzas we wanted to try. Opted for: Farmer's Market (group favorite), Yukon (special), Honey Hot Chorizo (unique), and Genoa Salami (mmmm, crispy salami). We enjoyed all of them! The crust was cooked well too. Sorry RMFC, I tried, twice I have had 2 different pizzas here, a fruity fig one, and a bacon and brie. And I wasnt Jazzed. The first time my girlfriend brought me home a pizza (we are in Calgary) and the wrong pizza was in the box, didnt order a fig pizza. Not totally your fault, we coulda checked. So I went a second time, cause my girlfriend loves you guys (she gives you 5 stars) anyway, I had two different drinks that didnt really dazzle me, and the Bacon Brie pizza was kinda bland. Our first day vacation we had our first meal here and I am so happy we did. I ordered the apple chicken flat bread and it was delicious. By far the worst service received in a resort town. They were more worried about packing more people in than serving their costumers. Hostess had to take our order cause our server didn't have time for us. My kids meal came out and 40 minutes later they were only starting to make my meal. During our time no one came to check on us or refill our drinks. I will never recom or return to the place. read more

The food is amazing however the service is not. There is usually a wait no matter what time of day you go and it is a combination of great food and slow service. Not sure If they are understaffed but a meal with appies should not take a couple hours. It has happened a few times like this now. Better service means the tables turn faster. We cannot even go to Canmore without a lunch visit to the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. My cousin lives in Canmore, so its a perfect excuse to meet them for lunch. We first heard about this place when my cousin had them cater her wedding! It was one of the best wedding meals I have ever had. The blackberry salad and flatbreads were just amazing. Everyone just raved about the food. Since then we've been inside many times for lunch. I love the salad and pizza lunch special, as I can never decide between their healthy and unique salads or their delicious flatbreads. I have never had any complaints with service. My cousin often brings her now one year old with us, and the staff is great about it. We also have been allowed to leash up our dog just on the balcony in cooler weather. We recently tried the dessert pizza which I was skeptical about, but was pleasantly surprised. We will continue stopping in for lunch every time we visit Canmore thanks to the fresh ingredients, and innovative flavours. OH, and make sure to get the SANGRIA when its available. MMM! read more

Given all the hype of this place I wanted to love it. It's right up my alley for what I look for while dining. 1. Plenty of vegetarian options 2. Eco and/or sustainable business 3. Casual elegance 4. slightly upscale tastes I ordered a farmers pizza - it was good but not amazing. Maybe there were too many vegetables and thus a little bland. Some additional spicing or use of the goat cheese might have made this delicious. My guy ordered ravioli (he thought it was delicious) and I tried some and thought it was good but I've still had better. I did enjoy the use of root vegetables which makes it very earthy. I do think it was a bit over cooked and the sauce fell a bit flat. I don't like the pita bread on the side thing - I find pita bread boring. Now if they had used their own crust that might have been a different experience. They include a 1% charge on your bill to pay for their bullfrog power program that they sneak in there but you could opt out of. It's a neat idea but I don't like how it's added on there without really drawing attention to the fact it's optional. Bullfrog is a company that receives a copy of the company's power bill and then puts green energy onto the grid in the same wattage as a carbon offsetting measure. I would make this donation regardless but I hate how it's assumed - I imagine someone would feel like a real jerk to get their bill and ask for the donation to be removed. I say it's an expense - include it in the menu price (trump it up if advertising if you want) and don't just sneak it in there on the bottom when you're not expecting to pay that extra fee. Funny I take such offense to the added fee that's broken out but I'm all for the program and do it at home! I waffled between 3 and 4 for this place but likely rounded down because of the hype and lack of impression on me. I'll likely go back and give it a second try based on reputation over strictly my experience. I probably won't have a choice anyway (it's a favorite amongst my bf, sister and some friends). I definitely will be trying something else though. read more

Great pizza and salads. Our waitress was very sweet and could tell we were dehydrated bringing pitchers of ice water. I had the lunch special with the berry salad with mango (yum!) and the Farmers veggie pizza. Delicious! Very tasty thin crust cooked to perfection heaped with veggies. I could tell that the effort of an artisan did my pizza-it was not hastily slapped together. Others in our large party had pizzas and soup and all were pleased with their choice. Nice atmosphere. Yum! Creative, interesting pizza (either thin-crust flatbread or more traditional crust) with toppings like black bean sauce, apricot and apple (luckily, not those three on the same pizza!). They also had salad, soups and a few other dishes for any non-pizza lovers. And, dessert sounded amazing - including dessert pizza! We didn't try any, though, as there was no room after all the wonderful food. Service was excellent - personable, responsive & very helpful. All in all, a wonderful experience! This place was absolutely amazing and had lots of gluten-feee options to choose from. Normally, gluten-free pasta or pizza doesn't compare to the regular version, but in this case, I have to say, it was even better. We ordered takeout and even still the food was so good! We got a chicken noodle soup, bruschetta, fig & goat cheese salad, classic flatbread, GF maple bacon macaroni and cheese and a fire roasted artisan flatbread. There were also plenty of toppings unlike some other pizza places we've visited. While we received the small classic flatbread instead of the large, the restaurant was quick to fix their mistake and quickly made us another small flatbread. We went to the Rocky Mountain Flatbread restaurant for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with the inside (outside of buidling looks boring and plain). It has a nice atmosphere and a massive old pizza oven right in between the dining area. There are a lot of health choices (gluten free also) with home-made pizza's and pastas. Big downside is the high price and the small portions. It is just simple food, so a high price tag seems a little strange. On top it, they are charging for 'carbon tax' (?!?!) on the bill. Lots of buildup to a so-so meal among a crowd of well heeled mountaineering fashionistas. The clientele was loyal with a line late on a Sunday and the staff was friendly and efficient in turning over tables to get us seated as quickly as possible. I chose this restaurant based on Yelp reviews and ordered the most written about Chicken and Apple pizza and Goat Cheese and Fig salad. In addition I also ordered the Bruschetta. I'm not sure where those giving 5 star reviews have eaten and the fare was certainly fresh, but while the establishment may have been 'in' with the locals, there was nothing standout about the meal. Most of my other experiences with top-rated Yelp eateries have proven well founded, but going out of my way to sample this one was a let down. I've had tastier dining at trendy chain restaurants, so I was expecting something special and memorable. Unfortunately, the thing I'm most likely to remember was the bachelorette party laughing and screaming with delight at the selfies they were taking. Thankfully they left the usual paraphernalia and alcohol out of the mix as their enthusiasm level over dinner in a stone fire restaurant made me wish for a side of earplugs. read more

We were on vacation visiting Banff and were recommended this place by our hotel front desk and I was so happy we decided to come here! We went on a Sunday night and had a big group of 9 people, they were really busy but also because we had a big group we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table! I loved that you could see the pizza oven from just about anywhere you sat in the restaurant, that was super cool. The bruschetta was super yummy and was very fresh. My mom tried one of the salads and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was!!! I got the personal size fig and Brie pizza without the meat and it was soooooo good. This pizza was something like I have never tried before and I definitely recommend it for people who have somewhat of a sweet tooth. The menu was very very diverse having so many types of pizza I have never seen before! Rocky Mountain Flat bread is certainly a Canmore staple. The food is simple, fresh and healthy. We actually always order for pick up, but it would definitely be worthwhile to come back and enjoy a meal at the establishment. It's adorable! A solid 4 stars for the food, but over all five for the awesome staff who when above and beyond to mail back my husbands wallet And credit cards back to the USA that we left behind. Very good pizza! They get a plus for having Pepsi products! A minus for not having Pineapple as a ingredient! (Instead of Pineapple, they have Mangos as a ingredient, different and interesting but.....) The pizza they use a wood fire oven, and I thought my pizza was perfectly cooked, not to crispy like I have had experience eating at MOD pizza, and not to soft so overall, it was perfectly cooked, they have Pepsi products and decent selection of tap beer. This place is amazingly good! There are lots of options for pizza, but if none of them strike your fancy they have a "create your own pizza" option. They also have soups, salads, pastas, starters and desserts. For drinks they serve homemade lemonade and ice tea as well as Grizzly Paw sodas and beers. Everything is homemade and you can tell because it is so good!!! I have only tried the pizza and soup but both are very good! The pizzas are thin and made in a wood fired oven...SO GOOD! The soup I tried was the carrot and ginger and it was amazingly good, I would have it all day every day! The pizza was good but even though we ordered extra sauce it really could have used much more sauce...the sauce is delicious though Overall I love this place so much and you should definitely try it...just order extra sauce! read more

Another night out in Canmore and I wanted to try something new. I have been by RMFC a ton of times, but never inside. My wife an I weren't feeling the typical pub food we get when out in Canmore, so we gave this little joint a shot. We were VERY impressed! They have rotating specials depending on which fresh ingredients they have in stock, as well as a TON of gluten free options. We were seated right away, right near the big oven. It was a colder evening so this was very nice and cozy. We started with a couple beers which were reasonably priced. The server was very friendly and brought them right over. My wife had the soup that was on special and loved it, then we ordered a large pizza which they will let you do half and half with different toppings. The pizza we ordered was absolutely delicious (both topping combos) and a bargain for the price. We were so happy that we finally popped in for dinner. We will be back! read more

We were a little concerned that they might not be open, but their official site says they serve dinner "onward". So we took a gamble. Lesson learned. Check yelp first. They close at 9pm. They have that listed on their door, why don't they list that on their site!?!? Anyway, they let us do takeout. We ordered a regular Meaty flatbread and a regular blueberry dressing salad. Total with tip was $30. Ow. Yes, I know, this is Canmore. Still. Ow. It wouldn't have been so painful if the flatbread was actually tasty. The problem was it was bland. It didn't taste *bad*, it was just bland. I guess they've never heard of seasoning. A little salt? A little pepper? Some garlic or something in the sauce? I've always had great food here and it had always been a must stop on our way through Canmore...but their service is borderline. If you're seated right away it's ok, but if you're unlucky enough to be one of those waiting at the door, you may be forgotten or ignored. And it's their policy that you can't order from the door to avoid the wait once you are seated... If you're in a rush or arrive when it's busy, I'd suggest another place...like Crazyweed...which is probably some of the best food in Canmore!! read more

We ate lunch here upon our arrival for a wonderful Canadian Rockies vacation, around 1-2 PM on a Friday. We had read the excellent reviews and were excited because of the beer list, the wonderful sounding flatbreads, and the atmosphere. When we arrived there were a few diners, definitely not busy. We were disappointed. Our server seemed clueless, he knew no answers to any of our questions. I asked another server who knew some answers. I ordered a local draft beer on the advice of that server, and it had almost no taste. I then switched to a Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale, again, almost tasteless. We ordered salads, pasta and pizza. I think our server was new and clueless because we waited about 30 minutes to get our food. We finally had to signal the chef and she then realized something was wrong and assembled our order and brought it to our table herself. I had the Fig & Goat Cheese Salad which was perfectly fine, nothing to write home about. Others said the same thing about their food: perfectly fine, but nothing special. Meanwhile, the restaurant staff were unloading boxes of frozen flatbreads on tables and other surfaces all around the restaurant. I felt like we were sitting by while they were preparing for a busy Friday night/weekend, and that we were sitting in a staging area. It was disturbing and noisy to sit through this. And meanwhile our server barely returned to check on us. When the bill came, it seemed a bit high for the quality of the food. Overall, bad value, bad service, ok food, cool atmosphere/space. This place was perfect for lunch on a 75 degree day in Canmore. We were looking for something a bit different and we found it here! Amazing flatbreads and lots of choices. Cooked perfectly and the 10 inch personal was more than enough for me. I even had a couple leftover pieces and I usually never have leftovers. I had the BBQ Chicken special flatbread, and it was absolutely delicious. Could tell the chicken was cooked and sliced freshly as opposed to something frozen. My family had a number of different flatbreads, salads, even soup and everyone said their food was delicious. Outdoor seating is limited but it is kind of open air feeling even if you sit inside by the windows. The service was a little slow to begin, but ended up being great overall! I'm not going to lie I was pretty disappointed. I was looking forward to checking this place out, as it's somewhere I haven't gone in Canmore and they do GF pizza. It wasn't busy at all, great server, she was nice. The food took a long time, now I get it's cooked in the fire ovens, but still. I should get my pizza at a restaurant faster than delivery would take. When we finally got the pizza mine was soggy. You couldn't even pick it up to eat it, as it fell apart. My friends had non-gf pizza and they said it was delicious. So maybe it's just the gluten free that wasn't good. Prices weren't bad, $15 for a 8" pizza is a little steep though, plus extra for GF. read more
