Like when I'm hungry and too excited so I think the menu says Maple Bacon Mac & Cheese flatbread (it doesn't BTW lol) We did however get the M&C, because how can you pass up pasta with bacon in it? That's in addition to fig, bison & brie flatbread, hot honey chorizo flatbread and Genoa salami pizza. I couldn't tell you what the difference is between pizza and flatbread. As long as it's delish toppings slapped on top of carbs, I'm happy. We fought over who'd finish the mac and cheese, because that cheesy, smoky pasta was THAT good. Seriously, get it! And that brie flatbread? Omg, just writing this makes me want to hop into the car and drive out to Canmore so I can eat it again. This was underwhelming. The onion soup just had a small piece of toast on top and not much flavor other than salt. The gf flatbread was flavorless. We got the Fig, Bison, and Brie and also the Honey Hot Chorizo and they tasted the exact same. Weirdly sweet with no other flavors present but sugar. This place rocked! We came here after flying in from Colorado. We got a salad and a pizza that had sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, and some other stuff on it but I forget. It was soooo good! I also had a Canadian beer that was raspberry flavored which was crisp and refreshing. We were visiting for four days and debated going back a second time because we liked it so much. I would love to give this place five stars, but the dessert fizzled the experience a bit. Still, super solid restaurant that I'd be happy to visit again. First, it's a popular place, so I'd recommend getting a reservation if possible, or be ready to wait for a while. We were lucky to get a table in 10 minutes or so. The hostess and waiters/waitresses are very nice and quite laid back (after all, they work in a pizza place and pizza makes everyone happy). Our waitress was Australian, if I'm not mistaken ... so we had the added benefit of listening to her cool accent. She had made an error on the bill that we didn't notice, but we had already paid, so she ran over and handed us some cash. Like I said, great service. The pizza is made in a REAL WOOD FIRED OVEN, which I think is super cool. You can see the dude handling the oven carefully placing more wood in every few minutes. Our pizza was super tasty even though we weren't super hungry. They don't have too many beers on tap, but enough that there's probably one you can find that works for you. Finally, don't get the brownie dessert. If I hadn't been greedy and we had left after the pizza, this would be a five-star review. read more

We picked the corner spot so that we could view the mountains while munching on our flatbread. Do you like the peace and quiet splendor of Banff or the Canadian Rockies when out on a hike? Then you will hate this place. It serves a very loud crowd, people talk loud enough a few tables away that you can somewhat make out what they are saying. Nice quiet place to eat? NOPE. Loud cafeteria type setting like in school? Yep. As far as food goes. We split a large pizza. Half sun-dried tomatoes and half ethe meats. Pizza is a fairly thin crust. Crunchy with a little chew in it. Flavor was ok and the toppings varied. The Meats was generous but the sun-dried tomatoes side was pretty lacking. Service was also spotty. While nobody was rude we only got service when flagging down someone. Also - they say they have pasta but one of three offerings is Mac and cheese. Seriously. Pizza hut has better pasta offerings and arguably better pizza when taking in the price point. If you want pizza in Canmore head to Red Rock pizza. Their pizza is considerably better than this place plus cheaper. read more

I bought a bake at home sundried tomato & cheese pizza from Safeway Willowbrook, Langley, BC. To say it was disgusting doesn't describe how bad it was. Turned into "muck" - completely inedible. Clearly the yeast was dead. The crust seemed to have been pulled so thin that as it cooked, the middle slid through the oven rack grids. I'm guessing that somewhere along the line the product was allowed to thaw in addition to potentially being badly made. I will be letting Canada Safeway know and Creekside Custom Food, Delta BC., the company that according to the pizza box prepares the pizza. I would have written directly to Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co about my experience but their website does not show a contact. Big waste of $9.99 and a big disappointment. The pizzas were excellent. I had the gluten free flatbread and it was amazing. Most of their menu can be made gluten friendly, so you can choose any of the pizza options! I also tried their gluten free cheesecake. It was an interesting texture. They use coconut cream or milk to make the base. read more

Rocky Mountain Flatbread has absolutely killer flatbreads--seriously so good. We went, like many other reviewers, after hiking in Canmore at Grassi Lakes. Despite the weather of 20 degrees and sun, the place was relatively empty as it was still somewhat off season (late May). We split a fig and goat cheese salad and the apple chicken flatbread. The salad was very good--nothing amazing but a significant upgrade over the standard caesar/house salads at most pizza places. The flatbread itself was borderline incredible. The apples gave it a nice sweetness, the crust was crispy, and there was a perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The service was good as well--the hostess talked to us at length about our trip, but the waitress was more indifferent throughout the meal. Ambience is great--beautiful views of the mountains and nice modern decor inside. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

Gluten-free review: This place has lots of gluten-free food options, which are clearly indicated on the menu, and also includes ciders and a gluten-free beer for alcoholic beverage choices. I got the bison and fig pizza, which was delicious. The crust is a thin crust style and not too dense. I'm not sure about cross contamination as I didn't ask, but I did not have any reactions to the food. For reference, I have a gluten sensitivity and minor cross contamination (few crumbs) does not bother me severely. This place gets packed so try to make a reservation. Since we were really hungry that night, we got seated at the bar and ordered a red sangria to start with. For the main course, our choice was a BBQ chicken pizza and fettuccine pasta. They know their craft with respect to preparing flat bread pizzas. The crust was thin and crispy and the pizza turned out to be great. I was very impressed with the fettuccine pasta as well. Unlike the US where fettuccine pasta is usually topped with heavy cream and butter, the one here is on the lighter side with rosemary, honey and olive oil. Very tasty! After a long day of hiking, we were hungry and excited to try this place. We ordered the half & half pizza with Shrimp Pesto + Tomato Basil. The Shrimp and Pesto was good, but the Tomato Basil lacked flavor. We also ordered the Spicy Puttanesca, which was eh. Not spicy at all! My brothers order which was the Bacon Mac & Cheese never came, and we had to follow up with the waitress to get his order. When she came back with the Mac & Cheese, she slammed it down on the table and didn't even say sorry for the dish arriving late. The Mac & Cheese was COLD. Not even warm, absolutely cold (it also lacked flavor, basically had to add salt to everything). So my brother kindly asked the waitress if she could warm it up, she gave a dirty look (as if she didn't want to do her job) and reluctantly brought it back to the kitchen. From that moment, she never talked to us again. We were helped by the other friendly blonde waitress, and the waiters. The other staff members were all very very pleasant, but she was just rude. For a place that serves many tourists, I'd think they'd hire a staff that is friendly and accommodating. Overall the food is whatever, the atmosphere is nice, but would never come back here. I tried this place out after being recommended it from some locals in Canmore. I have to say that this is one of THE best flatbread places I have ever tried. The service was fast, efficient and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. My boyfriend and I were super impressed by the quality of the food. We ordered the pear and chicken flat bread with the Italian meat half and half large flat bread and it was amazing!!! I also ordered a nice little cocktail on the side with raspberries and rum and omg it was yummy. I highly recommend coming here and trying this place out anytime you are in Canmore. The place get super busy usually around 6pm so I recommend coming before then to ensure that you get a table and don't have to wait too long. Their gluten free pizza ended up being some of the best I've ever had - probably in the top 2! I had the farmers market on a gluten free crust, no mozzarella. It had delicious & fresh, seasonal vegetables, awesome goat cheese and pesto. My gluten-eating boyfriend tried some and said it was the best food he's eaten on our trip.
