Go here and you can get a soda pop, and a stick of elk jerry from the local mountain people. Every trip here is a trip here.

Can't say anything about the rooms or location--I'm sure they're amazing as we were really looking…read moreforward to our stay, but I must comment on their customer service. On the day we were set to drive up from Arizona, I passed out, fell, and suffered a severe head injury and concussion. My wife had to rush me to the hospital. Naturally, dealing with an emergency took priority, but as soon as things stabilized later that same day, my wife reached out to inform them. No one answered the phone, so she sent an email detailing the medical emergency. We fully understood forfeiting our initial ~$300 deposit due to the late notice. What is completely unacceptable is that the property never called or emailed us back--they simply processed an additional charge on my card for around $900, bringing the total paid to over $1,300 for a stay we couldn't make due to a medical crisis. When my wife finally made contact with them today, the manager essentially told her "tough luck." He offered 50% off a future stay, but why would we ever return to a business with zero empathy? Because of my concussion, I cannot drive, and my wife does not drive long distances, making a rescheduled trip impossible anyway. As a business owner myself, I would never treat a customer experiencing a genuine emergency like this. Penalties are understandable, but charging full price and showing complete indifference is terrible business practice. If you book here, keep in mind that if a true life emergency happens, they will still take every penny

A river meanders nearby as well as an easy walk to an incredible waterfall on property. Eric is the heart of this place (he cares for it as his own and is so detail oriented)(Emily is new and petty fantastic too). Special shout out to Holly (she made us feel so so welcome), Kelly. Alice, and John were fantastic as well. But all the staff are fantastic! This year especially. We've been several times and this was by far our favorite staff experience. Soaking under the stars in the hot springs is incredible as are the communal dinners. The road to get here can be a bit bumpy but once you arrive you quickly see it was all very well worth it. There is something incredibly special about Dunton.

No cell service within an hour of the property. The staff are sooo welcoming and helpful! Service is one of the best. The all inclusive food and drinks is worth the price of the room! Three meals a day is an experience of its own. We planned our daily activities according to meal time. Love that they have daily group activities. We participated in snowshoeing and it was so much fun. They have all the winter gears for guests to borrow so, don't worry if you didn't pack it all. We stayed in the Echo room, which is the smallest and cheapest. The bed is sooo comfy that we just stayed in bed majority of the time so the size of the room didn't matter. In the winter, Echo room guest uses the steam shower located in the bathhouse to shower. All three hot springs were amazing. We pacifically chose this property for their hot springs and it did not disappoint. The library was well kept, cozy, and organized. -Wi-Fi is spotty. Works here and there, and disconnect. - If you want lunch packed Togo on your last day, gotta tell them I'm advance like at check in. - Laundry service is complimentary, but they ask for 24hr turnover. Ours were returned same day after dinner.

This was slightly confusing upon our arrival, but we figured it out. Upon our arrival (those of us who are on time), were greeted by Amber! She caught onto our family banter quickly and went through the Do's & Don'ts. There were 50 of us, so we certainly needed this. The Lodge is spacious and multiple beautiful views. I watched the sunrise over the mountains on the spa balcony every morning. A great way to prepare yourself for the chaos of a family reunion, and just Be for a moment! The Lodge had plenty of space for eating together, games and we even put on a talent show! The game room and dining area were the most used. We had ages from 4-months to old AF, and everyone enjoyed themselves. The Lodge is in close proximity to Purgatory, Bears Ranch (horseback riding), trails, water leisure, and a local bar, The Nugget. This was a great unforgettable reunion! Thank you for having us!!!

The "queen" bed a little smaller than pictured, but was okay for the price. Overall, missing a few things like paper towels, ice, coffee, and some items/ pillows in need of updating. I don't know if I would've trusted the hot tub and also saw a dead mouse resting on top of one of the outdoor patio tables.
