This is a casual place where you order at a kiosk and then they bring you your food. They have Mexican and Peruvian plus some fusion dishes between the two. I got the Lomo Saltado and it was cooked perfectly with a ton of steak. My husband's burrito was insanely huge. We also enjoyed our empanadas. I want to come back to try their tacos and salads! This is definitely a great spot with good portions and reasonable prices for the serving size.

Went to Rocoto for Peruvian chicken. I had a craving. Upon entering the restaurant, you're facing ordering kiosks, which I guess are becoming more common. Here's the issue, the machine said there was no more chicken for the day. I'd driven about 40 minutes to get this chicken and for there to be no more, I was kinda irritated. Someone behind the counter heard me and went through a whole explanation of how the system doesn't recognize that they hold some chicken back from the system so they don't run out because it takes a long time to cook. So, I was able to get the chicken but I was now in a bad mood. We ordered a lot of food! chicken and fried rice, a side salad, lomo saltado, It wasn't bad, but it didn't blow my mind either. My chicken was really overcooked, likely from being made and held. There was only one sauce offered with the chicken. A yellow sauce that was very mayonnaisey. Everything was served on paper plates and boats. They only had plastic cutlery. I got the vibe that even though there is seating, this is a takeout joint.

Lomo Saltado: a favorite of mine, done perfectly. Empanadas: so delicious. and with the Rocoto cream... absolutely heavenly. Burritos and bowls: so good they've forever ruined Chipotle for me. Dine in or take-out, everything here is so good. Simple, authentic, delicious, made and served by truly friendly people.

Top Notch! The food was excellent and you get a lot of it. Definitely a great value. However, the service was exceptional. There was a young man at the counter. We told him we were first timers. He walked us through everything and was so nice. He went above and beyond to make our first experience very memorable. We cannot wait to go back. Loved it!

The flavor of the chicken is DELICIOUS!!!!! You can tell they cook the chicken slow and for a long time because it was so, so tender and still juicy and a flavor bomb of Peruvian goodness! My husband brought home take out and he said the employees are always so friendly and the place is very clean! We also got the rice, plantains- great portion size and perfectly fried, the special of Birria tacos- (flavor and consúme were outstanding), beans were still hot and great flavor and texture! Will 100% be back, check them out if you're in the area!

First visit, after driving by so many times, just down the road from home. We were also referred by friends who frequent the Leaders Heights York PA location. Super friendly, helpful with menu items and ordering. We were overtaken by the aromas upon entering, nice! We shared the ceviche, delicious, with a little bite! LJ had the Seco (chicken) and I went for the Lomo Saltado. Two superb dishes. I liked the flavor of the Seco better. Had to bring half of my dish home. We're not used to eating this food type so we had a small GI disagreement but it won't stop us from going back. Excellent experience, and a bonus to run into long time ago York Jaycees peeps.

Hungry for Mexican and in the Red Lion area we came here after checking with Yelp. The reviews were good so we popped in for an early lunch in June. Easy to find in a small strip mall with ample parking on a busy street, our first impressions were that it was very clean and bright. There were a few outdoor tables and an expansive two room dining area - one better suited for special occasions and banquets, the other for dining in. Counter service was friendly and our food came out fast, although she was a little uneducated about the menu as she didn't know if horchata was available. While I was really craving a carnitas, I was told the pork was bbq'ed so I switched to 3 soft chicken tacos. Hubby got a burrito, that was big enough to feed a family! Both of us were very pleased with our meals. They were a tad messy due to the delicious juices (you definately can't say they were dry!) and filled both our bellies. Hubby has an enormous appetite so that's saying alot! If I had to say something negative it would be that the modern farmhouse aesthesic doesn't go with the food and I would have loved to experience a more cultural vibe. Otherwise food was delicous, portion size generous, and the space was super clean. We're fans!

Clean very nice a lot of parking space they have flavored coffees. Try it for the first time.

Fresh delicious food. Authentic Peruvian and Latino dishes. Excellent Lomo Salvador. Homemade empanadas. Yummy... Family owned and they have a passion for food and taking care of their customers.

Ordered takeout from this place - the sweet potato fries were awesome, the Chicharron sandwich was okay because it was hard to eat (pork was in large slices and hard to chew through). I would give this place another try and get some other things off the menu. Prices are reasonable

Don't be fooled by location; this place has plenty of room inside and recently remodeled. Service is with a smile that I can see through their masks! The empanadas are my FAVORITE!! So delicious and the dipping sauce is out of this world!! Highly recommend!!!

You have to be buzzed in and the dining room is literally the size of my living room. Very intimate. The food was superb. Stellar. Outstanding. Truly, each course was delicious, with layers of flavor and unexpected combinations. The ceviche in an intensely limey coconut broth started off the meal and I thought that if everything else sucked I would still be happy. But the dishes kept getting better. I did not anticipate enjoying veal heart skewers, but they were smoky and very reminiscent of good carne asada. The purple corn tamale was a very interesting mix of heavier corn with light ahi tuna. And even the little bowl of plantain chips they bring out first was excellent. This is a set menu, 5 courses on the weekdays and 6 on the weekends, and is a bring your own alcohol set up. As a result, there is almost no interaction with the waitress, and the food just arrives, but it is timed very well, with reasonable periods between courses.

I did not feel rushed until the desert course was served with the check. The variety of the dishes was fun to experience; each course was very different. Puerto 511 does really well with seafood. My favorites courses were the Ceviche Amazonico and the Tamalito Verde. The flavors were incredible. The Pulpo en su Causa was also a very interesting dish. The combination of ingredients and the inclusion of a cold mashed potato component were both innovative. I was disappointed with the other courses, though. The veal was tough, the lamp chop was tough, and the desert was not very flavorful. The quinoa flan and the passionfruit ice cream did not match very well in flavor or texture. The restaurant building itself was ok. The ambiance did not indicate fine dining to me. The service was not very personable. I would like to come back sometime in a different season, when there is a new menu. But overall, I would say Puerto 511 is definitely a dining experience worth trying.

Ordered the Empanada tasting which is one steak, chicken and sausage. A few minutes later the u inspired server brings 2 of the same flavor when there should have been 3 different flavors. The manager corrected the issue and we started tasting and sampling and quickly realized that there wasn't much flavor to any of them and the sauce tasted like it had sat open in the refrigerator for weeks. One bite of each was enough to stop eating them! Then along came dinner..... Lomo Saltado and it was more disappointing than the appetizers! The steak chunks were not seasoned, the dish was very dry and the fries and vegetables were not seasoned. This meal doesn't even rate 1 star and they should be ashamed of their service and products!! Overall my review says don't eat at Mayta's!! It was a complete waste of money and time!! Horrible service and food!!

The meats, now y'all know, if you have been reading any of my reviews that I like my steak/meats a particular sort of way. just to preference! I got their Lomo saltado and the steak was TOUGH, not uneatable tough, but tough enough to not really enjoy my meal. But besides the meat being tough, I couldn't really taste the aji amarillo flavor and didn't have much flavor in general, just a little salty. The fries were great crispy on the bottom and were prepared well. For a dish that's almost $30, they should use a better cut of meat. overall, not a great experience 2/5. My wife got their steak skewers and similarly, the meat was too tough, and didn't' have too much flavor. also very mid. Overall, the place was cute but just lacking in terms of their food. I would maybe go back to try more things (but really to eat their empanadas) but with almost spending $70 for pretty terrible main course meals was unfortunate.
