Service was great, but the attitude was not and taking advantage of the customer came first before helping the customer solve a problem. As soon as Matthew came in the door, he asked for money. Who does that? Than, he gave a quote of $450, in which $150 that we prepaid was going to be used for the $450. When the job finished, he asked for $625 + $150 = $775 which is ridiculous. Prompt responses and prompt service. We have utilized Park Ridge plumbing twice for my parent's house. We tried another place but won't do that again as they were really pricey and took quite a long time to finish the work. What I like about Matt is that he is prompt with responses and pretty much on point for time of service. Aside from that, he will let you know if something is awry. I like the fact that he's reliable and trust worthy - sometimes you never know what you get. I had them come out to replace a sump pump. They did a good job with the work and everything seems to be working, kind of. For some reason when they installed the new pump, my other (2nd) sump pump became the default. This defeats the purpose of having a new pump. I wanted the new pump to be the default which it was prior to them coming out. I asked them to come back out and see what the issue was. They refused unless they charged me a $75 call back + $140 service charge (hourly...so if it took them more than an hour I'd be charged even more). I paid them $700 to replace the pump on the original service, you would think they would come back to make sure they had a satisfied customer. Which I am not. I was even willing to pay a small service fee for the revisit, but to pay another $215 just to have them check their own work is ridiculous. I told the owner I wasn't happy and all he responded with was I'm sorry. If I was willing to pay the full $215, he would come back to look. Needless to say I won't be hiring them again. read more

They were able to give me advice over the phone to contain the situation until they could get to my house. They rodded out the line from my house to the street. Asked for a quote to rod out the main sewer line...a project they did less than two years ago. At that time it was an emergency as everything was backing up into our shower. It was super expensive for the emergency call, so this time we were being proactive and wanted it done before it HAD to be done. I had 3 unrelated plumbing repairs that needed to be done - a leaky sink, installation/replacement of kitchen sink garbage disposal, and a stuffed up drain in the basement. The basement drain was fixed/rooted- no problem. However, the sink disposal we bought was criticized because Matt never heard of it, even though it is one of the best rated brands. And he wouldn't install it because it had a plug- even though the wires were already under the sink from the old disposal and only the in-sinkerator has a no-plug end. Look it up - everyone just says install a box or cut the plug. But I didn't know what to say - I am dumb about plumbing. THAT IS WHY I CALLED A PLUMBER!!!! After, my wife pulled the wires, put in an outlet and installed the unit herself yesterday - which made me mad because I took the time to call a plumber and got no "husband" credit for that. It took my wife an hour +1/2, but Matt couldn't / wouldn't do it. He seemed annoyed at the project. It probably should have take him 1/2 hour. And he couldn't fix the leaking sink because of one reason or another. I was charged $280 for a simple pipe rooting - I think that is high. He obviously charged me for looking at the stuff he wouldn't/couldn't do. And I have no experience with this stuff so I need a plumber to do it for me. Money was not an issue, but I feel he overcharged me. No, I would not recommend or call him again. I actually never had a worse experience with a plumber. I expect jobs to be done - not just passed over as inconvenient. Now I have to call another plumber and have the sink fixed. Based on the other ratings, did he just had a bad day? read more
