Stopped by here this morning to grab a late breakfast. Dont wait to be seated because here you seat yourself. The staff here is friendly and took our drink order right away. After receiving my large orange juice I noticed it had a funny almost dishwater taste mixed in with the juice. I assume the glass was not rinsed well. Unacceptable. It took an unreasonable amount of time to receive our food. I clocked at least 25 minutes. My eggs were expertly cooked. The toast perfecy and buttered. The hash browns were clearly frozen and lacked taste. The chicken fried steak was tasty and crispy as it should be but the gravy was very bland. All right this is the first mom and pop style diner I have found in a long time. And it was well worth the search. I came in it was seat yourself so I found the booth that was comfortable and right by the kitchen area. So I was able to watch the cooks while they were cooking and they are fast. I barely place my order with and it was already coming to the table. Everything was hot, fresh & delicious. My server, Lori, was a sweetheart! So personable! There were at least three or four servers, they managed to handle the crowded restaurant with speed, humor & aplomb! Truly fun to watch. I ordered the Ranchero Special with a side of spiced apples and corned beef hash. You can see from the pictures the portions were big and yet those pancakes were so light and fluffy! Great breakfast! I'm sitting here thinking about 10%. 10% more effort would have changed this meal from barely palettable to a culinary experience. The butter and cheese were fake and the waffle batter was the same cheap, horrid stuff you find at a seedy motel breakfast bar. The fried potatoes weren't even seasoned. The food is great however the service is absolutely horrible. I don't know what's going on with this location, but every time I go there it's more than a 40 min wait to get your food. What amazes me is that you see other people that comes in after you get their food and leave bet you do. Not sure if it's a racism thing or what but it's not acceptable. We always enjoy eating at local diners. Rodeo Diner didn't disappoint. My wife and I both had the country fried steak and eggs, everything was good except the scrambled eggs. I ordered mine scrambled soft, they came out rubbery, I think they came from a box, differently not really cracked eggs. Other then that everything was fine. The service was excellent, Lindsay was our server and was very attentive. The restaurant has a cozy diner feel. Worth a try if In the area. read more

Looks are deceiving. Somethings you have to try before you judge. We did a nearby search in Yelp's Breakfast and Brunch as we are heading home...south bound on Florida's Turnpike and Rodeo Diner a 4.5 star diner appeared. We pulled up and immediately I get; "awwww, hell naw, Kim" It took me sometime to convince to give this place a try. Glad we did as this out of the box, off run prove to be quite an experience. The moment we walked in, everyone said good morning. We seated ourselves as this is their policy. Moments later one of the waitress came to our table and ask us for our drink order. Another waitress came by and took our order. About 15 minutes later, out came the food. Food was large in portion, hot and quite tasty might I add. All of what's pictured was $20! Had we gone to a few of the other places we wanted to go to, we probably would still be in line waiting and out at least another $40 more. So glad we came here as we couldn't have had a better experience anywhere else. This place is definitely a diamond in the rough. And a place worthy of trying. Upon recommendation from a friend, stopped in the Rodeo Diner for breakfast. When we got there, the place was packed. We were able to get a table and the waitress promptly greeted us. The breakfast menu is somewhat limited but has all the standard stuff. We both ordered the Rodeo Breakfast (2 eggs, choice of meat, choice of pancakes/French toast). I added the home style potatoes. It took nearly 40 minutes to get our food, despite the place mostly clearing out prior to is ordering. When our food arrived at our table, it was all mostly cold. The eggs were flavorless; my bacon was nearly raw; the pancakes were cool to the touch (butter wouldn't even melt on them). He waitress didn't bother to check in after dropping the food at our table. The service was mediocre at best. The food would have been way better had it been warm. Other folks around us seemed to be receiving hot food as there was steam coming off it when it was dropped on their tables. Maybe the waitress was having a bad day? But that doesn't explain the blandness of the food. The bacon appeared to be cooked under a press as it was flat as a pancake. You get a lot of food for the price. I might consider giving it another shot, but not anytime soon. read more

We will not be back here. Terribly slow service, even though it sas barely half full and there were 5 or 6 active workers with two line cooks. If you love old fashioned diner food this place is for you! The menu offers lots of hearty options like home fries, corned beef hash, steak and eggs, grits and scrapple. Our party had waffles (my Mom said hers was hard as a rock but tasted good), a western omelet, French toast, kielbasa sausage, home fries, grits, hash browns plain and some covered with Jalepeno peppers, etc.. my husband was happy they nailed his eggs over medium and got his juice concoction correct of orange, cranberry and apple mixed together. The coffee was very good! It reminded me of the coffee I used to have on my grandfather's knee while he prepared to go to work every summer of my childhood. The decor is quirky, old fashioned and western. It's conveniently located in Kissimmee right off exit 242, the seating is self serve and our waitress was super friendly, attentive and happily gave us her recommendations when needed. The cooks jammed to the beat of songs only they could hear in headphones and kept up with the orders being shouted to them by the waitstaff! Don't go to this place with high expectations on the decor, but do expect to get good food at a decent price and excellent service. read more

If I could give this horrible place minus 10 stars I would! This place was hot muggy and smelled like a old run down restaurant. I sat down with my family for breakfast and literally waited over 30 minutes and all I got was water never once did they come take my order all the waitress kept saying was I'll be right back. This place is a serious fire hazard way to many tables and not enough room you can't even walk to the bathroom because it's all blocked off with tables, this place should be reported to the fire Marshall in this area . Sometimes, you need diner food. That's just the way it is. I was passing through Kissimmee and picked up some family members for breakfast along the way. We were greeted right away and seated. Our order was taken fairly quickly. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered cream chip beef on toast, grits eggs hash browns and pancakes. I knew I wasn't going to eat all that but with the prices, I couldn't resist! It was really cheap. The star of the show was definitely the pancakes - good batter, cooked perfectly, and served warm. The grits were a little dry for my liking but that's a matter of preference. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash browns were divine! The cream chip beef on toast was my only regret. Once it got a bit cold, it wasn't pleasant to eat. I was a bit surprised that the server dropped our bill without seeing if we needed anything else. I was going to get a few more things to go, but such is life. Overall, a decent place for a quick bite at a reasonable price. read more

Very friendly waitstaff greets you as you enter this comfortably worn diner. I had the ground sirloin steak with a side of green beans and a small salad. The ground sirloin was cooked a perfect medium rare and was flavorful. The green beans were typical diner style (canned). The salad had more than expected brown pieces throughout and was pretty average otherwise. If you've ever been in the Orlando area you'll notice that the tap water smells and tastes of sulfur. Many restaurants and hotels have filtration/purification systems in place to eliminate the foul smell and taste. Unfortunately, Rodeo does not. read more

At 10-11AM June 13, 2021. The food was good. The service was terrible. Our server barely spoke to us. My mother never got a refill of her coffee. The coffee was watery. She asked the table next to us how the food was and refilled their coffee. She treated them kindly when they had a child wearing only underwear and treated three Hispanic Americans coldly. The A/C wasn't working. They up charge if you don't pay in cash. We were there for an hour mostly waiting for our check. We will not return to a Rodeo Diner ever again. read more

Based on previous descriptions of the outside and location of Rodeo Diner, it's not the most appealing place around but when you see a parking lot full with cars and trucks you have to know that the food must be good. And yes it is. So as most would say "don't judge a book by its cover"! read more
