The hash browns were so delicious. Our pancakes were fluffy and the steak was good but the gravy on the salty side. A local favorite, you can tell they have a family vibe the minute you walk in. The staff appears to know pretty much every patron that comes in and greets them by name. My parents have been eating here for years and are well known by the staff. We go to breakfast with them periodically and enjoy our time there. Been to this restaurant many times over the years. It's always been a good little diner and I always make it a point to stop in when I'm in the area for events at the Osceola Heritage Arena. Maybe they're under new ownership, but the food has all changed. I had the open face roast beef sandwich. The roast beef was almost non existent, which was a good thing because what was there was gristle and fat. The corn and green beans must've been out of a can and had no seasoning whatsoever. The mashed potatoes were good for the first couple of bites, but then I noticed my lips felt like I had just applied chap stick on them. Not sure if they mixed old grease in the potatoes or a bunch of crisco, but whatever it was definitely didn't sit well on the stomach for the rest of the day. My kids had breakfast meals. Ordered hash browns crispy, they served them almost raw. Neither of their meals were good and went mostly uneaten. They did remove part of the charge for the roast beef, but we just wanted good meals, not a discount. On a positive note, our waitress was very pleasant and seemed legitimately bothered that the food was so bad. read more

Rodéo diner had very good customer service. It is a little outdated in the decor but relatively clean. The food was OK. The biggest detractor was the fact that they allow non-service dogs into the restaurant! This violates Florida health regulations I'm surprised that the health department has not cited them. Came to Rodeo Diner on our way to Epcot. I wanted to try a smaller mom and pops, rather than your chain breakfast place. It was actually very busy We were seated and attended to right away. I got coffee, which tasted a little too roasted, it had that burnt after taste coffee sometimes has. Some people love it. I don't I got build your own omelet with cheese, ham and onions. And home fries. Portion was big, and it looked really good, but everything needed more salt. No problem, it's right on the table, but I feel it needs mentioning. Mom declared she wanted a "real breakfast", not a drive through biscuit and not a coffee hoouse acacia bowl. After consulting Yelp we decided to try the Rodeo Cafe on Irlo Bronson and were quite pleased with our choice! We got there about 10 but no worries because breakfast is served all day! As another reviewer mentioned, it's not much to look at but the parking lot was filled with local plates so that's always a good sign. There was a lively crowd inside for Tuesday morning and we picked our table and got our coffee in quick order. Our waitress was efficient and took our order with a smile. We both ordered the rodeo special which consisted of 2 eggs to order, bacon or sausage, and two pancakes. Mom ordered her's fried and I went with scrambled. We both agreed that our eggs were perfect. The bacon was crisp but still chewy which is the way bacon should be. Now for the pancake, I am picky about pancakes and don't care for super thick pancakes and these were just right. These kind of places are becoming hard to find and harder to stay in business. In this case, Rodeo is located on the outskirts of Kissimmee, truly in farm country. You probably would not even give it a second look driving by. But it is a great place to get some local flavor, both ways. Rated as the Best Breakfast in Kissimmee. And you can believe that. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the basic egg breakfast dishes and generous portions. REAL hash brown potatoes. I had a big omelet that was wonderful. All compliments from my daughter, "this is yummy". French fries were good per kiddo. Parking is a standard parking lot with plenty of space even for larger trucks like a F450 / 3500 / smaller. We stopped in for dinner tonight after seeing that a friend had posted that he was here for breakfast. We hadn't heard of this restaurant before and thought we would try them out. When we parked there was only one other car here at 5:45PM. It's a small diner where you seat yourself. Another family came in several minutes after we sat down and they were greeted and had drink orders before we even were acknowledged. It appears that they had 2 servers and one cook for three tables. We ordered country fried steak with mashed potato and green beans, grilled chicken with green beans and mashed potato, meatloaf with mashed potato and Mac n cheese. The country fried steak is very thin and the white gravy had a light but odd taste. The green beans were lacking flavor, the meatloaf was dried out and smothered in a nice tasting brown gravy, the grilled chicken and mashed potatoes were good. The Mac n cheese was room temperature but had a decent taste. The garlic toast was our favorite. We came, we tasted and it's ok if we return but with so many other choices we likely will not. Breakfast might be much better so we would be more likely to return to try breakfast. Once we were greeted, the server was good and friendly. read more

This is an exceptional diner which is located just a block from the hotel I was staying at. It had a solid four star review on Yelp, which I thought was well deserved. I ate meals there on two different days: A ham and cheese omelet on Friday and a Reuben sandwich to go on Sunday morning. The ham and cheese omelet was accompanied with sourdough toast and some of the best and crispiest hash browns I have had over the past twelve months.The Reuben sandwich was made from lean slices of corned beef, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut on toasted rye toast. Some nights you just need dessert at a sweet hometown road side diner and tonight was just one of those times. We have stopped in a few times before for dinner but tonight we needed something sweeter and homemade desserts was what we were craving and the small offering they had didn't let us down. Being that is was almost 7:00pm on a Sunday evening the place was the emptiest I have ever seen it, so finding a place to sit was pretty easy. We grabbed a table and one of the servers came right over to take our drink order and see if we knew what we wanted to order already. We must have looked like familiar faces, like the sweet older ladies on the other end of the diner enjoying their after dinner coffee and chatting away. We told her we were just looking for dessert and she went through the list of their homemade pies and that they also had fresh made Apple Dumplings. She had no sooner mentioned the dumplings when I knew I was hooked. She asked if I would like mine heated with some vanilla ice cream, which you know it wouldn't be the same without it. My friend ordered a slice of the Strawberry Rhubarb pie and I also ordered an Iced Tea to go along with it. We only waited a matter of minutes before our desserts were brought over and after tasting our individual selections we had to try each others. While I loved the flaky pastry wrapped around the crisp tart warm apple coated with vanilla ice cream. It was a stark contrast to delightful bite of cool fresh strawberry rhubarb pie my friend chose. The crust was just as flaky and buttery as the dumpling surrounding my apple. Delicious! Can't wait to go back again and try another one of their pies or maybe just go back for breakfast. It's a seat yourself, waitresses are running crazy... not very friendly but I can understand. Our waitress was demanding I order my drink when I as waiting for my husband to return from the bathroom. At any rate; my food was pretty good except for the grits! The consistency of the grits were perfect however they used chicken broth ewww!! I like butter, salt & pepper! bacon & eggs cooked to order (clean grill) --- hubby liked the grits a lot. Something I wonder what I see in him.. haha The chipped beef was ok; I don't eat it... disclaimer here... hubby was so mad about the cheap plastic folk & knife set. This might jade his view...
