Wow, very expensive non customizable hamburgers. Not willing to make substitutions and despite website saying spinach, none was available. Hope my wife likes arugula. This place did not live up to the hype. At all. Service was good, but so so slow. Food took more than 40 to from ordering to delivery. Couple that with a long wait on the front end and we were all hungry. For the price, portions were small to average and all sides are al a carte. The vibe was fun, upbeat. One of my favorite burgers in Dallas! My partner and i came here for a relaxing dinner and we really enjoyed ourselves. I got the don henley with a vegan patty an loved it! The house-made vegan patty is phenomenal. I got the Texas caviar as well, and it was really good. He got the Royale with cheese and fries. The decor is fun and the staff are great. Not even exaggerating when i say this was the best burger ive ever had, ambience is cool and unique aswell. The only downside id give it was our server took a while to come greet us and even put our order in even though there was only one other customer in the restaurant. But other than that small annoyance this place is great and I highly recommend it to anyone in the DFW area! read more

Stopped in to try it with my wife. A few observations: 1. Strong on style but short on substance. The place works hard to cultivate a quirky goat-centered theme, but it just seems forced. And odd. Not sure what the theme has to do with the food. 2. Speaking of odd, the burger varieties have some odd pairings. Sauces that seem to compete with one another on the same burger, flavors that drown one another out. There's something to be said for a very simple, well-crafted burger. Attempts to overwhelm the palate with multiple combinations of ingredients may SEEM intriguing when you read about them on the menu, but they just don't work in real life. 3. Tasted like tennis shoe rubber. My burger did anyway. Not sure what the sauce was, but it tasted like the bottom of a converse sneaker. 4. Overpriced. This is the classic "charge $13 for a burger and make people pay an extra $4 for fries" thing that Five Guys does. Not better. Just way more expensive. There are certainly better burgers to be had in the Denton area (Roosters Roadhouse, for one) for less. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at 12:30, and the place wasn't half full at a time when other establishments (Chuy's, Old West) were packed. Should have seen it as a sign. read more

We've never been to rodeo goat before so we decided to try it with our friends for dinner tonight. I had the avocado Cesar salad and my husband had a burger with sweet potato fries. Our friends also had burgers. My salad was way over dressed and with the olives, it was extremely salty. My husband enjoyed his burger. Our waiter was just ok. Our food arrived extremely late and he never once stopped to tell us what was happening with our food. We also had to flag him down a couple of times to get our waters refilled. He was better at the end when he was processing our check but prior to that, he wasn't friendly or attentive. I don't think we will be coming back to this place. read more

Amazing atmosphere! This new Goat is just as cool as any other location, if not cooler. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the drinks were on point. I ordered from uber eats a build your own burger with two patties and the inside of both patties were RAW! The egg white was also uncooked in some areas. I call the manager and tell her the issue and immediately she seems unfazed and tells me in order to get a refund I need to contact Uber eats, not even really acknowledging the issue of her cook serving raw hamburger meat. I say "ok I understand but I just thought you should know so you could let your cook know." Then she says "it's never really been an issue with my afternoon cook but I'll let him know" I tell her thank you and that's the end of the conversation. Not apologetic at all and didn't even offer anything. Never ordering from here again. read more

Good tasting food. The onion rings were lightly battered and very good at the start. They turned very oily by the end of the meal. The burgers were cooked perfectly as asked( medium). My burger was supposed to be hot and spicy and the first bite was, but that's were it stopped. The burger was way smaller than the bun and fell apart as I tried to eat it. They don't give you anything other than a steak knife for silverware so as the rings got greasy and the burger fell apart the 3 napkins given for 2 people were not anywhere near sufficient. The waitress was a bit surly and missing most of the time. The fresh cut fries were very tasty but got soggy towards the end of the meal as well. There were only five tables occupied so it wasn't busy but the music was louder than it needed to be for an empty place. It felt like they were trying extra hard to keep costs down and not thinking about the customer experience. For the gourmet cost and recipes it felt like they could have been better. I will try again and see if it was bad timing on my part, it was 3 pm. I don't believe that the burgers will grow to fit the bun but maybe I will have a better experience. read more

Been here a couple of times. Good burgers from a unique menu. The place is all about goat roping with pictures around the rooms and even a scoreboard of the Battle of the Burgers. What's that? It is exactly what it sounds like, two very different burgers battle it out based upon customer orders. One order equals a point and the burger with the most points wins, moving on to face another burger. Speaking of different burger options, that's what the menu is full of, unique burgers. Beef is beef, but toppings... that's another story. Rodeo Goat throws the kitchen sink at their burgers and I don't think anything is off limits to what they will do. I've enjoyed the Addison location but got tired of the long wait times, so I decided to try this location and it's even better! The food and service are amazing, dare I say slightly better, and the food didn't even take 20 minutes. Addison would have been double or triple the wait time. My go-to of the dapper dawn, avocado Caesar salad and sweet potato fries was perfection. This location also offers vanilla ice cream with various sauces which was the perfect way to end such a delicious meal! If you're looking for GREAT burgers in Denton, get to Rodeo Goat! We thought we had tried all the burgers in town (where were the good ones?? We had almost given up hope) and we finally found Rodeo Goat. Although the location along I-35 is less than convenient, the interior is spacious and comfortable and the burgers are great and the service is fast - the food arrives to the table so quickly! The fries are nothing to write home about, but the Royale with Cheese and the Ranch burger are out of this world. Perfectly cooked (my son likes his cooked rare, so those are hard to find anyway), juicy, and the toppings are great. We finally found great burgers in Denton! Rodeo Goat! read more

We sat at the bar for about 10 minutes as the only customers there. One bartender greeted us briefly after we arrived, but no one followed up. A second bartender came in, made eye contact with us, and then moved on without acknowledging us. The staff seemed more focused on gossiping about another situation than taking care of guests. When we finally got up to leave, someone tried to help--but by then, we were hungry, frustrated, and tired of waiting. I wish we had gotten this bartender's name... she was amazing. We had never been to a Rodeo Goat... She explained the menu well and the monthly dueling burgers is a neat concept. Food = Burgers are tiny the meat is gamey and the price is high. Honestly a McDonalds cheeseburger has more substance. I also ordered some chili. It tasted really salty so I didn't touch it. Fries were mid. Atmosphere = nice decorations and a good layout. Staff= not attentive at all. Only showed up to take the orders, dropped off the food and didn't bother checking how we were doing nor refilling our drinks. Again, this economy demands more attention to the paying customers. We work hard for our money and to make a decision on spending that cash at a restaurant who doesn't appreciate the patronage is sad. read more

We have eaten at the Plano location before so we were super excited to see it open on Denton. The whole experience was just... bad. There are two of us, and when we entered, they asked us if we would eat outside. We agreed and then were taken to a tea table with patio furniture and cushions. We had to bend over to eat. It wasn't optimal but we decided to let it go. Our drinks took forever to come out and the food twice as long. We had finished our drinks by the time the food came. No one checked on it so we requested another round of drinks at that time. We had finished our food when the drinks finally arrived and we had to remind our server that we were waiting on them. The hostess was not the friendliest, but she did do her job. Our waitress was absolutely fantastic. The Larry McMurtry burgers was really awful, in my opinion. I couldn't eat it. The waitress let me choose a different burger. I ordered the Norah Jones. It was good with a nice amount of spice. The fries are the real menu item to go for. The surprise fries were excellent.
