We had come here a couple months ago and got terrible service and the food was messed up. The server did not write anything down and they had to take my burger back because they had made it incorrectly. They did not bring it back until after everyone had eaten. I had also ordered a drink which came out as a totally different drink. Had the server been more careful, that experience could have been better. Now, I went to rodeo goat again today and boom another bad experience. This time the server was great. Very attentive. However, the kitchen screwed him over. Messed up my burger three times and still didn't fix it correctly. It seemed like they didn't know what they were making. Did the same to my wife's burger. A buddy of mine has been saying they have the best burger in town and I kept doubting him and not coming in, until I finally caved because we were in the area and I can confidently say it's not the best burger in town... BUT it is pretty darn close and definitely worth 5 stars. Sadly, I have to knock off a few stars for the service (or lack there of). We sat on the patio with our friends and their pup. The patio was quieter than inside but not empty by any means. However, our server was slow and very forgetful. He would disappear inside, and we'd have to ask for him. It took a good 20 mins until we could get him to take our food orders. And don't get me started on drink orders... I had to order my wine 3, possibly even 4, times until it finally came out. (And, it wasn't good wine either; it tasted old) Thinking all delays and mistakes were behind us... Nope. Our waiter messed up my friend's food order and forgot another friend's drink. It wasn't until other waitresses stepped in to help did things get better. Oh, and when I took my first bite into my turkey burger. The one thing our waiter did right was recommend the turkey burger (as is, no alterations). It might have been one of the best turkey burgers I've had. Here is where you can see my disappointment in not being able to rate the full 5 stars. Because I loved the turkey burger so much, I'll give Rodeo Goat another try. After many attempts to come here, my husband and I finally got to try Rodeo Goat on a Wednesday night, where cheese fries are half off! We got the cheese fries surprise, served with chili, cheese, jalapenos, and sides of ranch and ketchup. The fries were really good but the cheese was a little too much for our liking, so maybe next time we ask for easy cheese. We ordered the sugar burger (roasted peaches, jam), and the pile-it-on burger, which was one of the rotating menu burgers, which had goat cheese and tater tots as its distinguishing ingredients. The burgers were good, maybe a little too dressed up. I say this because the burger patty was so good and excellent that I wish we had a plain hamburger so we can really enjoy the quality of the meat. The space of this restaurant is really large and spacious. There is a large area for bar seating + floating high tables, booth seating which is enclosed in a fence for goats (which I think is fun and creative) and also covered patio seating outside. We love the Dallas Rodeo Goat location and were excited to see this pop up in our neck of the woods. Unfortunately they still have some issues to work out. We went in at 5 p.m. on a Sunday and it was pretty empty. The sign said "seat yourselves", so we grabbed one of the only empty clean booths (several needed to be bussed). Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Multiple waitresses made eye contact with us and ignored us anyway. It was clearly a case of no one knew whose table it was, and they didn't care enough to check. We gave them ample time. After almost 20 minutes we chased someone down for service. Under normal circumstances that wouldn't be a huge deal, but our 8 month old was sleeping soundly when we arrived and we wasted all his good napping time waiting for service; naturally he woke up as soon as the food came. Sigh. Minus 1 star. After we finally got a waitress, she was attentive and we got our food quickly. It was tasty just like the other location; however, my husband's only special request of "no tomato" was ignored, and when I stood up to go to the restroom the waitress cleared our plates before I was done, without asking. Arrrg. I was gonna eat those fries. Minus another star. Icing on the cake was that a place that has high chairs and seems to cater to families has no changing table in the restroom. Came in a little before dinner time to a rather nondescript brick building which holds close to the best burgers I've ever had! Our first stop in and to start our server was fantastic helping us navigate a menu with unique burger combinations, appetizers, beer choices and dessert options. We ordered the cheese fries surprise to start and thankful we ordered a half order as it was a LOT of delicious fries and cheese and chili that tasted homemade and surely other ingredients that made it delicious! I had the Mother Blues burger which is a blue cheese type burger in a nut shell fantastic. Also the Sugar Burger which equally, just phenomenal. Aside from the burger itself being a superb burger the toppings put them over the top!! We did a milkshake to finish and not sure how we consumed all of this food because the milkshake was amazing as well. I was told I could have had a wheat bun when I inquired - sure could have used that info up front! Why not a good standby white bun? Also, enough of these places with their craft draft beers! Why do I have to crawl thru the myriad stupid options to find a draft beer I like? Why not offer a few standbys? A Coors light was all I needed - draft please - but NOOOOO! Have to get a can. Plus, a dirty heated up glass that did wonders for my drink enjoyment. What kind of bar is this? Guys - Hooters can do it - surely you can too! Listen up management - your beer strategy sucks! Place is convenient to me so I'll be back - better educated as to what is wrong with this place. Liked the atmosphere, service was good except as noted above. Salsa has some kick, but wasn't a fan and found it sweet. I had the Brad Sham with bbq sauce on side. Glad I got sauce on side as I wasn't a fan of the bbq sauce. Burger was overcooked and it needs more cheese. I don't like skimping on the cheese. Japalenos added a nice kick. I tried the Ranch House and it was much better than my burger mostly because it wasn't overcooked like my burger. Really juicy and flavorful. Made me jealous as my patty was not. Not worth the wait. I went on Friday night and while I expected to have to wait, I didn't expect a 2.5 hour wait for a hamburger. After being assured our order would be out soon (two burgers and some fries-nothing special) I asked to speak with the manager twice. He never even bothered to stop by our table. It was so loud that we couldn't even carry on a conversation to pass the time. The decor is bland so nothing really to look at. The bar was so small it could only hold about 6 people. When our food finally arrived I was again disappointed. It was nothing special. The burger was not any better than ones I have gotten at places like Hop Daddy or Sugarbacon.
