Stopped by today for lunch with my son. It is self seating and you order up at the bar area. Service was great, the lady working up front greeted us right away and was very friendly. The restaurant itself has a real cool hip vibe, definitely up my alley. I ordered myself the beer cheese-steak (with fries) and a blue sapphire cocktail - these. were. AMAZING! They even have a "micro brewers menu" aka kids menu, my son chose the mini smashburgers with chips. He loved it so much, there was nothing left on his plate at the end. They have a bunch of board games available to use while dining so my son and I grabbed a Jurassic Park matching game, this was a super fun activity to do together while munching away. I'll start with the positives, this location has so much potential! I love that there's a brewery right on Main Street. What a fantastic addition to the community. The decor and theme are inspired by New Orleans/Creole/Cajun vibes, and it's beautifully put together. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision! read more

Voodoo has a rad atmosphere! Loved seeing all the pops of color and art work on the walls. I would give the drinks 5 stars. Food however was alright there could be room for improvement. I started off with the pretzel which paired nicely with some good ole cold beer. Then ordered the Plano Caprese pizza which kinda blew it for me. That pizza literally had so much cheese and grease I felt like my arteries were about to clog up. Next time I'll try something on the lighter side. The service however was really good and welcoming. We wanted to check out the location for some drinks as it recently opened. My husband first went with the Belgian Triple and then the Imperial Stout. I went with the Blueberry Wheat which was refreshing on the hot Texas day! The bartenders were friendly and engaging. They were great about providing samples as we decided what we wanted to enjoy. We didn't try any food this visit, but several other people there were enjoying food. We'll have to try both food and beverages next time we visit. read more

Came in on a very slow day. No more than 10 people. It took them 10 mins to ask if we wanted something to drink at the bar. Their responses were very dry and not even a menu was offered. We made a spill and they didn't ask us if we wanted another drink. The lack of customer service was quite surprising. For a first time experience after a lot of good reviews I was incredibly underwhelmed. I'd recommend The Fillmore Pub or Vickery Park. Have been here twice now. Great addition to the old downtown Plano scene. We were not familiar with Voodoo brewing, but after trying many samples, we settled on several we liked. Food at a brewery can be hit or miss at breweries, but it's been spot on for us in our two visits. The first time we ordered the pickle pizza. Yes, a pickle pizza. Was very hesitant, but the bartender told us to trust him and we did. I must admit, for a summer pizza, the pickles really came through and all the gooey cheese. Second time around we tried a burger. Very good. Would like to come back and try some of their more New Orleans style menu items. It is now one of our favorite places when in old downtown Plano. read more

Excellent new brewery in downtown Plano. Beer is brewed off-site and trucked in, but it's still really tasty. Food choices were ample - a little hit or miss on quality (mostly salt levels). Can definitely recommend the pretzel and the hummus!! The space is fun, service staff are great. They don't have HH specials yet but don't let that be the reason you don't stop in. read more

I have been to Voodoo Brewing twice and only had their food once. Great vibe, great beer, great staff but their food can use some improvement. Recently, I wanted to have my birthday at a place that had something fun and since it fell on a Monday, I chose Voodoo Brewing since they have Music Bingo on Monday nights. Music Bingo was fun and entertaining. And I want to go back and play trivia on a Wednesday night. They have do offer a very full calendar of events each month. The drink options (beer, cocktails, and seltzers) are great and the beer tastes delicious. I drank their Empty Calories, a light lager and Oh Mama, a golden American lager. Regarding the food, I ordered the Roast Beef Po'Boy and it could use some work. The meat had a great taste but was dry as there wasn't any gravy/au jus for the sandwich. The fries tasted great. A few of my friends who also had food were not impressed. The loaded cheese fries had too much cheese and not enough fries. Just a few recommendations for improvements as I would love to be to enjoy the beer AND the food! I would go back for the beer and trivia/bingo games but will definitely eat somewhere else beforehand. read more

This is a tough one to review. The beer and atmosphere is what you should plan on going for, not the food. I want so badly for the food to be good here. I live down the street and would love to being my dogs for a lunch or dinner outing but the atmosphere that make this place good is inside and the food that is outside is more like pre-made cafeteria food. I also dont agree with the regular or owner, not sure who they are, that brings there off leash large Rottweiler inside to chill. But that just me. Fun environment right on 14th Street in a corner building. Waitress was very attentive and her check backs work great I tried one of their select beers and enjoyed it very much as did my husband. We went on a Friday earlier than most people go. Business definitely picked up as we were leaving. Parking is a bit tricky as there is a lot directly next to the building. But it was packed so we had to park across the street. Not a terrible thing. We had pizza and I ordered a sandwich. We enjoyed the pizza! read more

Stopped here to watch a college football game , had a superb time. Really great food, beer, cocktails, ambiance and hospitality.

Had a bit of time before heading to the airport so stopped in. The staff is very helpful with selecting brews and they remembered what had been ordered for refills. There are games to play. We didn't check the menu but other people's food looked good. Restrooms need to be better marked. read more

First time trying this place and we were pleasantly surprised. Great beer selection of both Voodoo beers and rotating other select beers. The waitstaff was awesome. I loved the Empty Calories and Where Our Secrets go. If you haven't tried any of their beers, definitely get a flight. The food selection was good, pub type food. My husband loved the Hangover Burger, it was huge and he couldn't finish it. My son loved that they made mocktails and got some blackberry peach concoction. People sometimes don't know the law behind service animals but it's clear the staff here do. They were so well taken care of and accommodated for.
