I received one of those flyers in the mail ... you know, the kind that you usually recycle immediately. For some reason the cartoonish cow let me know that this wasn't some random pizza joint that had just opened to I took time to scan the food they were selling. Frankly I was impressed and the "food joint' is only 10 minutes away. So, I filed it ... Suddenly I am car-less and dependent on a "good neighbor" to travel anywhere so at lunch time I suggested 'Hey, want to try this new BBQ joint". And, off we went ... discovering a really incredible new place to get lunch/dinner and oh yes ICE CREAM!!! Actually I should EXCLAIM and oh yes, BBQ goodness! This is an attractive restaurant whose spaciousness offers dining welcome and comfort! They suggest we sit down and take a look at their impressive menu. While doing so you can't help but notice the "stuff" they are selling. If I needed another t-shirt I think I would have bought one of theirs because they are just fun! Anyhow, this is about food and yes, it is about SERVICE! The service is awesome ... the owner was actually present so I had a million questions which she answered with a smile. Our orders were already in when she said her FAVES are the brisket and the chicken. Well, my driver had ordered the chicken but I had ordered the pulled pork, which she said was smoked along with the brisket and that it would be pretty darn good too. We were told that their ice cream came from a dairy in Maine, which showed the care they made in choosing it. She grimaced when I suggested the ice cream might be Turkey Hill (I grimace at the thought as well.). She went into detail about the brining of the chicken and soaking it in buttermilk plus she said the cornbread is their fourth cornbread because they kept wanting to get it just right. WOW was the reaction as the huge platters of food were delivered. SO MUCH FOOD ... the driver reports the chicken sandwich was not only huge, which I could see but also tasted perfect! My pulled pork platter ... let's start with the GREENS, I love GREENS and these are GREENS to love!!! The hush puppies were unique in appearance but tasted so good. The pulled pork was just the way you wanted and there was a cup of sauce to pull the pork through. A huge chunk of corn bread and Cole slaw that ranks right up there. I saved ice cream room (Actually I boxed half of my lunch and it became my dinner.). I sampled three of the flavors and chose a scoop of Apple Caramel and it was more like a PINT in a SCOOP because it was a huge pile of cream delicious ice cream! I will be back ... need to try the brisket!!! My only complaint and it is minor. There was only one BBQ sauce to choose ok you don't choose there is only one BBQ sauce. It was DELICIOUS and on the "sweet side" but I soaked up each drip with my pulled pork but I'd like some options. This is just a great place to eat in at ... probably really good for take out too but I will eat in. It's 10 minutes from here ... I will be back and enough food for two meals for this growing boy.

Server Kayla very friendly! In fact all the servers were very friendly! Food was good and worth the money! It was our first time we will go back! P.S. They are closed on Sunday! They deserve a day off!!!

From walking in the door to leaving with leftovers, my husband and I had a wonderful experience here! The staff were enthusiastic and friendly, very welcoming. Our food came out in a timely manner, and we enjoyed every bite! We ordered hush puppies to start, and they were fresh, warm, and melted in your mouth. We also got loaded nachos with pulled pork and chicken fingers. Everything was delicious! The restaurant itself was very cute and colorful so we ate in, which tempted us to get ice cream on the way out, which was also high quality.

Apparently, they go through 15 gallons of it every week. More on that in a minute. I took my cheesesteak over to Death of the Fox Brewery. Why? Because the two breweries that were closer happened to be closed. Their loss, my gain. I love Death of the Fox, but that's a story for a separate review. First, I sampled the meat, cheese, and onions by themselves. Pretty darn tasty. Next, I tried a bite on the toasted garlic roll. Very pretty darn tasty. Then I added the habanero sauce. Now we're talking. Very, very pretty darn tasty. If you've followed my cheesesteak adventures for any length of time, you know I'm not exactly a hot sauce guy. I was expecting some serious heat, but I'd describe this as more of a sweet habanero with a pleasant kick. Best of all, I suffered no repercussions afterward--a minor miracle. The cheesesteak was excellent, the garlic roll added another layer of flavor, and the habanero sauce tied everything together. Honestly, I'm surprised Whit or Whitout doesn't get mentioned more often on social media. They deserve a lot more attention. Decor was all Philly!!

Highly recommend if you're looking for a top-quality cheesesteak!

Take out only place with some outdoor seating previously went by another name. I really enjoyed it…read more They were very busy making everything from scratch and the onion rings and smash burgers were excellent, though I think the burger was better than the rings.

Burger runn Cheesesteak…read more I've been told repeatedly to try the cheesesteaks here. On a previous visit I had the burgers and I thought they were very good. Though at my visit today I discovered they use Martin's potato rolls for the burgers. The place was a former deli and is tiny. I was greeted at the door and they took my order. Cheesesteak fried onions provolone. My go to order. The floor is tiled and slippery and I almost fell several times. It was around 4:15 so I thought I beat the dinner rush but apparently everyone orders from here on DoorDash or Uber Eats. At least a dz orders were picked up while I was waiting. I thought the wait was a little long.... But I stood there waiting for my sandwich. Finally a woman from the back come up front to address a problem with a chicken order and asked what I was waiting for.... A cheesesteak I replied and the counter woman that took my order grabbed a bag that was sitting in the pickup pile and handed it to me Alex? She asked yes I replied. I took my sandwich and got into my truck. At a red light I reached over to feel the bag... it was Luke warm. I expected my sandwich to be piping hot. Ggggggrrrrrrr. That is why I ordered at the place but the nearly 30 minute wait with the undetermined amount of time it was on the to go counter will you get the picture. On my arrival at home I opened the sandwich and snapped a photo. At this point it was barely warm. I prepared it with ketchup, hot pepper hoagie spread and my last slices sweet horseradish dill pickles. The first bite was underwhelming. Barely warm and the roll which was supposed to be sarcone's tasted more like amoroso. Onions were diced into fine cubes and I prefer more than the tiny amount provided. Overall taste was good but because it was nearly cold hard to actually evaluate. The overall sandwich had enough meat and a good meat to bread ratio. I found no trace of fat or grizzle. Maybe if circumstances were better I would have been happier but it did not reach the hype.
