The food I had today was just some pulled pork and some beef brisket a sad portion for what I paid them. they are two of my favorites meats and they did all right. The meat was very tender and the pork was pulled gingerly. Leaving not much fat which can bite you in the long run. The meat was a little dry but they did have some sauces. I believe store bought if I had to say. They were everyone favorite sauces in Carolina gold and sweet baby rays. The brisket was tender and pulled apart easily. It just didn't have that smoky flavor that I want in my Q. I did see their smoker behind the trailer with a bunch of wood stacked up next to it. So go figure then.

I ordered 3 ribs, and it is sitting on a couple of pieces of bread. it came with a side and a canned drink The ribs were perfectly seasoned, and not fall off the bone, but was holding on to the bone. It was just tender enough to stick to the bone. The BBQ sauce was good. I got the corn on the cob, I think they cooked it in sugar! Not really my thing. The bread was so soft, I don't even eat bread like that. The owner said, the Oxtails is a must try. Yes, I will follow them on IG and when I'm in the mood for some soul food I don't cook I will find them.

In fact, of the more than 60 different bbq places I've tried in Florida, I'd probably put this in the top 3 if yesterday's experience is typical of what they offer. Upon arriving, I could smell the smoke from the parking lot; always a good sign. I ordered the rib platter and the pork sandwich. The ribs were impeccable: smoky, perfect bark, and tender with just a little tug. The pork sandwich was equally good--the smoke flavor is very prominent without being overwhelming. If you're often disappointed by bbq that has no smoke flavor, you won't be disappointed here. The Carolina gold sauce is excellent too, but you don't even need sauce because the meat is so good. I also tried the beans, mac and cheese, and cole slaw, all of which were good. But let's face it, bbq is about the meat, and both meats I tried were stellar. The guys who run this place are very friendly, too. Highly recommended.

Now if I new truck comes out all of you know I'm all over it. Not much stops me from a new truck opening. Well maybe work so I can afford eating at theses trucks. Then they aren't in my driveway either. I thought that I knew these girls from somewhere. As soon as I walked up bang it hit me like a frozen custard. Mr. Softie done grew up into a meat and cheese truck. Yet now they are two trucks strong but only one out at a time for now. But, then how hard is it to run and frozen custard truck. Today I stopped in while they were near me at Hemming Park. I went with their signature sandwich the Philly Cheese Steak. It was on a roll they called something but I forgot it by now. It is good soft with a little toast from the griddle. The steak was good but could have used some more seasonings. Then the onions n peppers were also there but not a lot of flavor. They topped it all with some good ole cheese whiz. The mark of a true Philly cheese steak if you like that side of the street. I've spent nearly $30 on FOUR…read moretacos, tipped every time, and still received the most disrespectful, cold, and flat-out racially biased treatment I've ever experienced at a food business. I'm an Afro-Latina customer who has ordered here multiple times, and every visit I'm met with zero greeting, zero hospitality, and today, the final insult: Adrian tried to upcharge me for tiny 2 cm sauces -- the same sauces he lets his Spanish customers use freely from full bottles on the picnic table. I've watched people dump sauce all over their plates with no limits, but I ask for a few quarter-sized containers for 4-5 tacos, and suddenly there's a "charge." And I'm not the only one -- I've since been told Adrian has a pattern of upcharging non-Spanish customers. The difference in treatment is loud, and the racism is even louder. And let's be real: he's acting like he's serving luxury steaks, when it's cheap skirt steak, cilantro, and onion -- ingredients that cost less than $2 total. Meanwhile, he behaves like cilantro grows in his backyard and onions come from his personal farm. The profit he makes off customers is huge, but the attitude is even bigger. Terrible hospitality. Disrespectful service. Racially biased behavior. If you're not Spanish, prepare to be treated differently -- and not in a good way. This place should be ashamed.

It's just the meat buried under cilantro and onions, and sauce and radish on the side. Of course, any good street taco begins and ends with the meat, and both their pastor and lengua were delicious, enough umami to carry the cilantro. Although, I like cilantro so much I can pretty much eat it as snack, so I'm a tad biased. The lengua, in particular, was super meaty and even more fatty than your average lengua. Sooo good.
