The tacos are terrific, all of the dishes I tried over a long time are really good, the service is fast, the selection is great, and the prices are very fair. I would really appreciate if they would repaint the floor, and clean the tables, floor, and windows more often. This place is THE best!! I lived in San Diego for 20 years and basically lived off of Mexican food. Since moving to colorado, I've been dying to find a Mexican place that reminded me of California. If you have lived in the C-Springs area for a bit you have probably noticed there are hardly any decent authentic Mexican places. This is the only place to go in Monument if you like Mexican. The chicken is awesome--try the chicken burritos or pollo asado. Tacos are good as well. The breakfast burritos are also good and very cheap. Very disappointing. There are a ton of places around the Springs that offer WAY better Mexican food, in a way cleaner environment. I got the carne asada and the carne asada tacos. The meat was very dry, the portions were literally half of the size of El Super Tacos, Monica's, or Albertacos and the same price. When I say half, I mean half, one tortilla instead of two and enough meat for one whereas every other Mexican place in the Springs has two. Not gourmet but good fast food that won't break the bank. I can only speak for the breakfast and carne asada burritos. Both are very tasty and quite large. They have a little salsa bar with fresh veggies like cucumber slices. I have never eaten there, always do takeout. They recently upgraded their dining room so it's not so divey like before although I thought that added its character. Service is quick and efficient. Would give 4.5 stars if I could. This is a grade-A hole in the wall greasy-spoon Mexican takeout establishment. I would say it's got by far the best Mexican food in the Monument area. Great burritos, great chile rellenos, and the pollo asado, according to my wife, is to die for. The prices are reasonable. Be prepared for absolutely zero atmosphere. You can eat in but I really don't recommend that. Just grab your styrofoam takeout container and go. The only reason I can't give 5* is that they seem to clean the restaurant only about once a day. If I go in the morning before breakfast, it looks fine. In the afternoon or evening it's typically a mess. Protip: check out the salsa bar with the fresh pickled carrots and jalapenos. These are a couple hard working guys. We've had their breakfast burritos several times and enjoy them. The burritos are large. They offer a variety of salsas and sauces you can help yourself to. We usually take them to-go as the inside ambiance isn't very appealing. UPDATE: they did a remodel inside and it makes a big difference! Very nice. read more

If you like mexican food, this is the place to go. Only in Tijuana have I had better tacos. Rodolpho's carne asada tacos are my favorite and super cheap. The guys who work there are friendly and work very quickly. They also have Coca-Cola with real sugar (azucares) and it tastes great. The place looks like a building you would see in Mexico and it can be cold, especially when people open the door to walk in. That's really the only negative thing I can say about this place. The burritos are about 4-5 bucks and two fill me up pretty good. Not made with the best ingredients and aren't true Mexican-American burritos but the taste is as good as any found in Colorado.
