I could hear people at the other end of the table without shouting. The service for us was fast and friendly. I could not believe how quickly our orders came out and I believe everyone ordered something different. I ordered steak tacos. I never order steak but these may have changed my mind. The food was one of the saltiest I've had in a long time. My mouth felt numb because of it and I dont usually notice stuff like that. Additionally we mentioned a few times that we dont eat meat and got a vegiterian dish but it came with meat even after double checking it wouldn't (apparently it was a misclick on the order screen from the server). The rest of it seemed like it was in a hurry too. The cheese wasnt melted and it seemed thrown together. The chips and salsa were decent. Their Pico was good but the other sauce seemed like straight up just tomato sauce and the spicy green sauce was more spice than flavor. They all come free though and the chips were good so we appreciated it. The staff was nice and for the amount of tables one person had, they were pretty quick. The atmosphere was good with standard Mexican blankets, instruments, etc. They had a few yard glasses (the really long ones with a rounded bottom) which is interesting since those dont have much to do with mexico but they are cool anyway so it still adds to the atmosphere. On our last day at the campground aboard the Air Force Academy, we were hanging out at the Polaris Hotel and started a conversation with a young couple. We asked them where to eat nearby. They suggested a BBQ restaurant, so we told them we were from Texas and had our fill of BBQ. They were also raised in Texas, but now live in the Springs. They then recommended La Casa Fiesta. We went and really glad we did. The dishes were awesome. Chips were excellent and the two types of salsa were very good. I had a combo of cheese enchilada and chile rellano with white sauce; it was delicious. My wife had chicken enchilada and it was also delicious. The green sauce was some of the best we ever had. Service was very good. Food came out hot. Margaritas were on spot. We sat on the patio with shade provided by umbrellas. Lots of plant filled pots all around. I highly recommend La Casa Fiesta. We have been fortunate to have some excellent meals and service during our week at Colorado Springs. read more

I have been coming to this restaurant for almost two years, and it's honestly sad to see how much it has gone downhill. The biggest issue isn't even the food anymore. It's the service. The staff spends an unbelievable amount of time standing around gossiping. Not quietly in the back, but right in front of customers. It's incredibly unprofessional. Instead of checking on tables, refilling drinks, or making sure orders are coming out, they're busy talking among themselves as if customers don't exist. There doesn't seem to be any concern about how that looks, and quite honestly, it's embarrassing to watch. Service has become painfully slow over the past several months. It takes forever to get your food, and once it finally arrives, it's usually disappointing. The quality of the food has declined just as much as the service. The sopapillas are honestly a joke compared should be. The rice is dry, tiny, and unappetizing. The refried beans taste anything but fresh. The chips are stale more often than not, and the salsa lacks flavor. At this point, the only things I consistently enjoy are the chicken quesadillas and the carnitas. Everything else has become hit or miss, and unfortunately, it's usually a miss. We've continued giving this place chance after chance because we've been loyal customers for nearly two years, hoping things would improve. Instead, they continue getting worse. It's disappointing because this restaurant had so much potential. Loyal customers deserve better than long waits, declining food quality, and employees who seem more interested in gossiping than providing good customer service. I scheduled a dinner for 15 people. We arrived at 6PM and were seated promptly. Our server was Maddie. She is with out a doubt one of the best servers I have ever seen. She was on top of it and saw that every request was taken care of immediately. Service was prompt and the food was great. A wonderful restaurant with an amazing atmosphere and fantastic staff members. When I arrived at 6:15pm on a Saturday this place was packed with patrons. Even the bar area was filled. Now you can eat at the bar and tables in the bar area. We put in a reservation for 7 and needed to wait for party to arrive. Parking along the street and in their parking area fills up. You can park in the dirt lot to the north of the restaurant but that can be chaotic. The food was excellent and our small group was very happy with their meals. When we moved to the greater Colorado Springs area, we gave up a ton of favorite places in Denver to grab a bite at. Fortunately, we stumbled across La Casa Fiesta in Monument! I'll do my best to describe it... It's ambiance is great. It feels like Casa Bonita married a mom & pop Mexican restaurant and had a kid, and that kid got all of the charm, just not the waterfall, cliff divers, games, etc. It feels very New Mexico. In fact, you can order Christmas (red & green sauces) on most any of the food options. There's fantastic outdoor seating, plenty of lot or street parking, and the food comes out lightning quick. The staff has always been friendly and fast, and the little downtown area of Monument, CO could not be much more charming. Love this place. The combos seem like the best deals on the menu, but the prices are reasonable no matter your choice. read more

Idk who has ownership of this place right now, but I've lived in Monument my whole life and the last two years at least, this place has gone to the dumps. Enough for my boyfriend to walk out getting served a baby plate of a burrito. The food they served my mom two days ago is shit and embarrassing. I am a chef and have always recommended la casa. After these visits I feel embarrassed as a customer to have even done that and I never will recommended this place again. Go to Arlene's Beans if you want a real burrito. They will do much better. It's my fault. I knew better. We went there again on the off chance things had improved. Like, how in the world can you screw up a Mexican pizza? Dried out chicken - cheap tasteless greasy melted cheese - like eating greasy dust - with that much taste - plate was hot - food was not! For heaven's sake - I ate one small piece and tried another - put sour cream (from my husband's plate) and the pureed tomato sauce they call 'salsa' on it. Nada. That chicken was so overcooked and chewy - dry. Disgusting. Do not order a Mexican pizza - rip off at $13.00 - it's what they do with chicken left over from yesterday. Told the waitress - she should have taken it away right then - left it on the table apologizing sort of. I did not want anything else - as that disaster was a sign that there are no cooks in the kitchen. Just people pushing microwave buttons drying out yesterday's chicken to make it chewy. And my husband's fish burrito stank to high heaven of old fish, too! I was deeply disappointed with this restaurant. It's a beautiful and well kept building. The parking is plentiful and simple. We were seated within minutes of arriving even though they were quite busy. Our waitress seemed annoyed by our table all night. She was short with us, didn't listen well and kept rushing away. Yelling, rude, etc...about how this restaurant is owned by tRump backing people and did they not know they were in a republican town. My parents sat calmly and let her attack them for several minutes. She even told the waiter to "make these people leave." The manager did nothing. We have been to La Casa Fiesta now three times over the past six years. It has been an up and down experience for sure. First time we went we were undecided and said probably would not go back. My wife is on several local foodie boards so we decided to give it a second chance a year or so ago. We tried the ground beef taco and tostada. We really enjoyed the outing and said we would return. Yesterday, we decided to grab a bite when running errands. Our waitress was fantastic and was very friendly. We went with the Chile Rellenos platter with green sauce with beans and rice along with two chicken enchiladas in red sauce. While we waited, we did enjoy the chips and salsa. The tri colored chips were perfect and we both enjoyed the mild and hot salsa. The restaurant is very vibrant with great decorations throughout. Our orders came and my dish of chicken enchiladas was piping hot. The Chile Rellenos were cold and seemed to be reheated rather than cooked to order. The Chile was tough & hard to even cut through. The coating was very gritty and the cook was a bit dark. I thought the chicken enchiladas were fine but the chicken needed more seasoning. If I could give zero stars I would! Just moved to monument, called this restaurant over a week ago to have our employees holiday celebration for 14 people. We even booked on a Tuesday to make sure it wouldn't be busy. We arrived at 5:45 for our 6 pm reservation At 6:15, we were told just another 5 min. We were seated at 6:45, after watching large parties being sat ahead of us that just arrived. At 630 we were told we didn't even have a reservation even though it was clearly in the books! We finally get seated at 6:45 and for only 12 people !!! We had to wait and squeeze in another table!!! I was so embarrassed and pissed off only to order appetizers to be told they ran out of queso! It was 7 pm, what Mexican restaurant runs out of cheese???? Food was mediocre at best. NEVER EVER again, I'll eat 711 nachos before I ever visit again. They ruined our holiday celebration. The hostesses even the managers were kids that didn't give a darn and seemed to seat every other party leaving us sitting there for an hour?!!! This place had pretty good vibes! A large outdoor seating area with TVs for sports viewing and such. My wife and I came here to catch up with some friends and the staff was really friendly and expeditious with our meal. I wanted to order the breakfast burrito but the waitress said it wasn't very good. I was disappointed that the burrito wasn't a good option but I was very glad the waitress was willing to tell me that and not let me order something that wasn't very good. Mad props to her.
