Went to meet a friend on a Friday night around 9 pm and the place was so empty! I had to go inside to make sure they were actually open. There were 2 people at the bar and a couple in the dining room. The guy at front was very nice, asked where we wanted to sit and we chose the bar. The bartender was awesome, so friendly and working hard even with just 4 of us there! My friend ordered a drink and a beef taco. I had a Modelo. The chips & salsa are just ok. Nice to have a snack while drinking. Prices were reasonable but I can't comment on their food since I didn't have anything besides the chips. The restaurant was clean and big and comfy. Bar was great with t.v.s and lots of seating. Hopefully they stay open because its a great local spot to get drinks with friends.

Rodrigo's Champagne Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays is an exceptional value! The champagne is complimentary with your entree. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is always outstanding. Marco and Kyler are both excellent servers who go above and beyond to make every visit enjoyable. Their friendly, attentive service makes brunch even more special. If you're looking for a fantastic way to spend a weekend morning, Rodrigo's Champagne Brunch is definitely worth a visit!

Been driving by this restaurant for three years and hemming and hawing about going. The reviews weren't terrific and with so many Mexican restaurant choices in this town, we just never made the decision to eat here until tonight. Walking in was a huge surprise-the place was definitely more upscale than expected. Very lovely decor and a nice sized bar. Hostess was lovely and sat us quickly. Unfortunately what followed was just mediocre service and average food. At first our server was prompt and attentive taking our order. We ordered a fajita burrito with carne asada and asada supreme nachos. The hubby didn't love the salsa (tasting like jarred salsa like so many before us have said) and asked for any other options. We settled on the tomatillo sauce from the kitchen. It was an improvement. The food was average at best and honestly it reminded me of the old Wendy's commercial- where's the beef? Neither the son nor my husband could locate more than a couple of diced pieces of steak in their items. The nachos were simply a huge plate of chips, some barely melted cheese , black olives , beans, sour cream and guacamole. Not a lot of taste nor coverage over those chips. Son ate one third of his burrito and didn't care for the taste of the sauce. Once the food had been delivered, our server was off taking care of others never to be seen again- we had to ask another server for our check.. I realize everyone's tastes are different and what one person may love another may hate- but for us and our hard earned money, we will be skipping a return visit

I was a passenger in a car that came to this restaurant. I was told that this place is really good and has great Mexican food. We had just left Wine country and was hungry. The hostess walking in was very friendly and nice. We were seated right away. Everything on the menu looked so good but my go to no matter which restaurant is always a chimichanga. The server, Derek was very polite and friendly. The chips and salsa were awesome. After demolishing two bowls of chips and salsa the food arrived and let me tell you, it definitely ranks in the top three that I've had in recent months. It was very good . I was full before I finished, but it was so good. I kept eating. Made it hard to get out of the booth. Little over eating humor there. This place was really good and yes, I would return. Thank you guys for a great lunch. You made a fan. Again thank you Derek for being an awesome server.

Not good, not bad. Just okay. Would give 2.5 stars. First time and was bummed, it's close to my house and I love Mexican. The salsa wasn't very good. Mariachi Margarita was terrible and meat didn't have much flavor. It's a very pretty restaurant though. I love the decor and it was mellow no crowd at all. Service was not very good.

My husband and I come here almost every weekend! Welcomed with chips and salsa instantly. The whole staff is always very nice and welcoming. The food comes out fast and hot. Nice Spanish music playing and lots of seating available. We will always come back here!!

This breaks my heart. What was once our absolute most favorite restaurant is now such a big disappointment, every visit for the past few visits. The blended coconut margaritas is what we come for and it's just not the same, the ones we ordered tasted like watered down tequila and nothing else. The food portions are substantially less while the prices continues to rise. We sat at the bar while Jesus ran around like a crazy person, trying his best to take orders, deliver food, make drinks and tend the bar at the same time. There were two hostesses on shift and one busboy, it was completely ridiculous and while we were only one of three parties at the bar, we did not receive the attentive service we have grown accustomed to. I can understand that on a Thursday night there shouldn't have to be a surplus of workers on a shift, but to expect one person to do it all is crazy. Sadly, I don't know if we can ever come back after so many letdowns recently

Shrimp Tostada very good choice for Lunch.

There are a couple restaurants in the downtown Palm Springs area that serve Mexican food, but none like Tac/Quila! The freshness of the guac, the cilantro lime rice, the fresh lobster and great tasting asada is what you have to come for! I personally had the asada plate which was a big portion and I give it 5 stars! The meat was so juicy, flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning. My wife got the lobster tacos and she said she can eat those everyday! To top all of it, the service was great! I didn't get our servers name but she was very informative, lively, and came to check on us every chance she got to make sure we are doing great! I left her a well-deserved tip at the end of our dinner! What are you waiting for??? Make the drive...stop by, and have a great night filled with dinner, and drinks!

This place hit the bar on all three of those pillars. We sat outside and a few of us ordered the margarita flight, while a few others ordered other cocktails. They were all really enjoyable and well balanced. We asked our server for his favorite thing on the menu and he suggested the steak plate and one other dish. The next person who came to our table also suggested the steak plate and ahi taco. 3-4 of us ended up ordering the steak plate, one ordered the quesabirria tacos. The elotes street corn was absolutely delicious. The sour cream on top just really sent it over the edge, the best I've ever had. Their flan was also exceptional. I'm not typically a fan of flan, but this one was really good. Top notch! Everyone absolutely loved their dish. The steak plate was absolutely wonderful. Steak was cooked to perfection, and the grilled onion was so good. The guacamole was flavorful, and it all went really nicely with the tortillas and other accoutrements. We had a great time and enjoyed amazing food. Highly, highly recommend. Pretty much all the girls agreed at the end of the weekend that this had been our favorite spot.

My friends and I had plans to go to ZAMA and found out it was closed so we had to find a new place…read more We ended up here just based off the pictures. Let's start with the margarita I got, I did not taste any alcohol in it (and I cannot have strong drinks! So that can tell you a lot) not worth $18. We basically paid for an expensive agua fresca! Then I ordered the carne asada skewers. The first bite was okay, not very flavorful, but I thought I could just finish it. As I go through the meat, I notice so much fat and very little meat. I grab another piece and bite into it, I start chewing and realize that it tasted like raw meat (with a hint taste of raw meat that spent too much time in the fridge) I immediately got nauseous and spit it out on a napkin. I told our server and he asked me what else I would like. I then ordered the fish tacos, he brought it out in less than 5 minutes (kind of fast if you ask me) I try a small piece of the fish and it wasn't bad, I give a piece to my friend and she only got fat. Why is there fat in my fish tacos! I tried to pick through it so I could atleast get full, but I couldn't do it. The server came to pick up our plates and asked me if I didn't like the tacos, I said no but that's okay don't worry about it. I was so disappointed because I was starving. My friend ordered the rib eye tacos and had to pick through it too because most of it was fat. The only good thing that happened was that our server did not charge me for the two plates that I didn't eat. We thanked him, paid the check and left. Unfortunately, this was not the best food and we were excited to eat and celebrate my birthday.

We had a 12:30PM reservation for their Mother's Day "Mariachi Brunch". The restaurant called us the…read moreday before to suggest we move it to catch the full mariachi set. We changed our plans to 12pm. That's where things started going wrong in ways we couldn't have predicted. There was a huge line outside. All reservation holders, all waiting, none being told anything useful. We stood there for over an hour. This restaurant enforces a 90-minute table limit, so the only way reservations run 60 minutes behind is if you sold more tables than you have. When they finally seated us, they walked us to the very back of the restaurant to plastic folding picnic tables and plastic chairs. The furthest possible seats, out of sight from the mariachi stage. Then we asked for the brunch menu. The server looked surprised, "We're out of the brunch menu. Everyone ordered the same thing." You promoted a brunch, and everyone ordered brunch? Shocking lol. We had to order off the regular menu instead. Our reservation was at 12pm, we sat down at 1:05pm and I finally got my meal at 1:30pm. There were several mistakes to our orders. One person at our table got the grilled shrimp. They served it raw and he sent it back. He ended up not eating and left without a meal. One of the staff was telling frustrated customers that this is simply what you should expect on Mother's Day. No accountability. Just the excuse that wanting a functional experience on a holiday is your fault for going out. This made it worse. And the mariachi? They stopped playing five minutes after we finally sat down. The same guy who told us this to lower our standards told us the band was on a 15-minute break. That break lasted 50 minutes. They came back to play right as our plates were being cleared away. Remember, we were seated in the very back, nowhere near the stage. The band finally made their way toward us just as we were asking for the check. They comped a few items and brought complimentary dessert. It didn't matter by then. This is a bar and lounge that decided to become a holiday brunch venue for one day. The grandmothers in that line didn't come for the lounge atmosphere. They came for the brunch and the mariachi -- the two things this restaurant completely failed to deliver. But I'd bet the staff is somewhere high-fiving each other for surviving a busy shift, convinced we all got exactly the Mother's Day we deserved for daring to go out. We still spend $300. We fell for the trap. And the portions were not large enough, so we went down the street to an Irish pub after and ate some appetizers to make up for it. Better to stick with family restaurants that have experience with special occasions.
