    Prove I called on Tuesday
    Yaya R.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I called on Tuesday to make a reservation for Sunday, June 7 at 1:00 PM for my birthday celebration. The employee took my name and phone number and confirmed the reservation. My family and I drove an hour to get there, only to be told upon arrival that there was no reservation under my name. We were a party of 8, and as someone who is pregnant, hungry, and celebrating a special occasion, this was incredibly frustrating and upsetting. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled. The host simply dismissed us instead of showing any concern or attempting to find a solution. We were also told there was no manager available to speak with. Mistakes happen, but customer service is measured by how those mistakes are handled, and unfortunately this experience fell far below expectations. After planning ahead, making a reservation days in advance, and driving an hour for my birthday celebration, I expected much better communication and customer care. Instead, we were left feeling inconvenienced, disappointed, and unvalued as customers. Sadly, this experience put a damper on what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration.

I have visited Landeros four or five times now because it's the hubby's favorite Mexican restaurant close to home. It's a casual restaurant with good vibes. We have great service each time we visit and the food is consistently delicious as well. There is inside and outside seating and the restaurant can get busy on typical busy nights (Friday/Saturday night). I think this is a hidden gem in Old Town and worth checking out.

Landeros Mexican Grill is a lovely, modern, yet affordable restaurant with an incredible imaginative interior design and ambience. Service is friendly, and the food is fabulous, and reasonably priced! $11 Margaritas...the refreshing classic Mexican cocktail is excellent and cheaper than most! $10 Rolled Tacos...three crispy and crunchy tacos filled with beef and covered in guacamole, fresh lettuce, and cheese, yum! $19 Combinations...its hard to find a great meal under $20, but you can have one at Landeros! Choose from a variety of colorful and tasty Tacos, Flautas, Enchiladas, Tostadas and more, with choice of protein such as chicken and beef. $19 Enchiladas Enmoladas...two delicioius shredded chicken enchiladas smothered in the traditional and authentic, spiced, chocolaty brown mole sauce...incredible!

I've been here once before and remembered the food and aesthetic to be great, but this experience was pretty bad. I know they were busy (but not thaaat busy) and our food took forever. To get waters was really like 10-15 minutes before we even saw our waitress. Food orders were missing things and got weird looks if we asked to split the bill (just between two couples) or if something was missing with our order. I think our waitress was overwhelmed, but we were very hungry and my burrito did not satisfy. She was nice, but overall, the employees weren't very friendly or professional.

We were at the Temecula Rod Run and wanted lunch. Landeros had been recommended to us so we gave them a try. So glad we did! Our server Chris was outstanding! For starters, the chips, salsa and margaritas were the perfect kick off! I had the chile verde burrito and my wife had the chile verde chilaquiles. Both were delicious! She's was still talking about the flavor of the chilaquiles hours later. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I would recommend the patio on a beautiful SoCal day like we had today. This place is a must visit!!

This gem is located in Old Town Temecula. Parking: Parking can be a bit tricky. There's street parking and a parking lot. Street parking is difficult to find. Careful for pedestrians. I highly recommend parking in the lot on 2nd and Main St. Ambiance/Environment: It was busy on a Saturday night during dinner. They have a large space with plenty of indoor seating. The music is lit and loud enough to have a conversation. The decor on the walls is very cute. The tables, chairs, and booths are kept clean. Service: I was greeted immediately when I came in. Every worker was on their game that night. I was checked on multiple times. Thank you Bri for making my birthday special! I didn't tell her it was my birthday, but she checked my ID and offered complimentary churros. Such a sweet gesture! Food & drinks: I ordered a Casa Strawberry Margarita and Quesabirria Tacos with a side of rice and beans. The margarita was definitely fruity & strong. I really like the cup that it was served in. The birria tacos were sooo delicious! It was seasoned well, and they stuffed the tacos! The consome was a bit salty for me, but paired well with the tacos. Pricing: Usually rice and beans are included with entrees (at least at other Mexican restaurants I've been to). I was told rice and beans cost an extra $5 which I thought was excessive. Other than that, I enjoyed the vibes, food, and drinks. I'd definitely come visit again when I'm in the area.

Everything about this place delivered a great experience. It's located in the Old Town Temecula so parking is a little tight but a walk through the town is very nice. We went for lunch and enjoyed the beautiful indoor dining with detailed decor. The decorative tree in the middle of the restaurant was a beautiful touch and the wall had Sombreros that looked good. Miguel did a phenomenal job with excellent service. He went above and beyond with providing the best service. We ordered chicken enchiladas and shrimp ceviche. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and good portion size. The chips and salsa they serve before your meal were crispy and tasted great. I enjoyed this Mexican restaurant so much I didn't want to leave and can't wait to return. This is your place for quality Mexican restaurant experience.

We stopped in about 6:30 on a Saturday and there was no wait. I didn't think that was possible! They have a great patio, but there were no open tables there, so we sat inside. The restaurant is smaller than I would have expected, but cute. The server quickly brought out chips and salsa, and both were really good. I ordered the chile relleno with rice and beans and that was quite good, too. We didn't order drinks, but we saw some fabulously fancy cocktails being served at a nearby table. The food was very good, as was the service. We would definitely stop in again!

We were just walking down the street on a hot summer day. I thought well this looks like a fun place for lunch ... It is ... The Mexican food here is delicious. Of course we started with the guacamole. I had a very refreshing hibiscus non-alcoholic drink that was so refreshing . The enchiladas verdes were stuffed with chicken fresh roasted chicken... This restaurant screams Mexican authenticity, but it's got a very cool almost Melrose place vibe. You really must enjoy a meal here with your time in Temecula.

Great ambience and location off the Main Street of Old Town. We were swiftly seated on a Saturday without reservations and as we sat down, a hot bowl of chips and salsa met us. The chips are delicious and taste fresh. Ashley was our waitress and she was fantastic, always checked on us and gave me a great recommendation that the loaded fries are massive. I shared that with my two young daughters. Husband had the birria plate and said it was only ok. My fries were a bit overcooked and so was the steak. My mango margarita was refreshing and delicious! It was the attentive service from Ashley that made our night!

I came here on the weekend for a party of 5. Reservations were made in advance so we were seated fairly quickly. The decor was just beautiful. So colorful and vivid. The food came in generous portions with reasonable prices. I was pleased with my choice of loaded fries and a sweet non-alcoholic drink.

Do they have a full bar or do they use wine based alcohol?

They only serve wine based drinks. Their Sangria is delicious.

    Do they have happy hour?

As of right now I believe they do not. Just opened and they are still trying to navigate what works and what doesn't.

Is there any outside seating? Are reservations advised?

Yes there is outdoor seating, not sure if reservations are recommended. I went on a weekday and was seated right away.

With that being said, parking can be difficult because Old Town tends to get very busy on a Saturday. We walked in and it was not busy. The host/server told us to pick any table we would like. We chose outside, but they had just cleaned up the area, so our chairs were stacked. The host/server quickly helped us get the chairs down and place them at our table. The server was attentive and kept checking in on us. Now the food. When we were sat down, we were given complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were perfect and not overly salty or greasy. The salsa was very mild and had a great flavor. I ordered a 2 taco combo plate ($14.95) with carne asada and carnitas. The carne asada was just okay, it was cut into thicker piece, which is not my preference. It was also topped with guacamole, which was not the best I've had. The carnitas however were magnificent topped with pickled onions, cilantro, and salsa. The rice was not traditional Mexican rice and did have a bit of a crunch to it rather than a toast before cooking. The beans were just plain pinto beans, not refried beans, but they were good. While this place, is not extremely traditional, it is a great spot in Old Town Temecula with fairly good food. I'm looking forward to coming back again.

The dressing was amazing. The chilaquiles were also good. Service was super fast... almost too fast? For a graduation day I was surprised the place wasn't packed. I just get the soup it seems and the entree was already there! So the beans and rice got a little cold. The tacos were not that large but heck there was a lot of food after some nice chips and salsa. The chili relleno was the star. I took half of it home with the rice and beans (and salsa) and it made just the best left over burrito. The margaritas were super cheap and tasty - only $8.00 or so. My son lives just down the road near Pechanga so it's really close by. My question always is would I come back again? You bet. Great atmosphere, attentive service, good food and drink at a decent price.

Without it, the value just isn't there anymore -- especially when their cocktails run about $16, which is noticeably higher than the $11-$14 range you'll find at most comparable restaurants in the area. When I go out, I'm usually spending $120-$140 per visit, and that used to feel worth it here. Now? Not so much. The drinks are okay, not amazing, and definitely not worth premium pricing without any kind of incentive or happy hour. Copa Mundial Watch Party? Save Your Time and Go Somewhere Else!!…read more I made a reservation specifically for the football watch party and even noted in my reservation that we were coming for the game. We arrived 15 minutes early, only to be told by the manager that we weren't on the reservation list. After showing her my confirmation, she eventually "found" our reservation. We were then seated at what she said was the last available table, which wasn't near a TV at all. To make matters worse, the TVs throughout the restaurant were so small that I couldn't comfortably watch the game from where we were seated. I asked if we could be moved, and while I UNDERSTAND there were no other tables available, what really bothered me was the explanation that followed. The manager asked how I had made the reservation. When I told her through Yelp, she said she hadn't closed reservations in time and had been too busy the day before to check the Yelp reservations. Respectfully, that's not the customer's problem!!!! MY issue is the false advertising. This was promoted as a COPA MUNDIAL watch party, yet there was no reasonable way for us to actually watch the game from our table. Had I known that beforehand, I would have chosen one of the many other venues available. By the time we arrived and the game had already started, my options were extremely limited. PLEASE If you're planning to come here for a watch party, don't. this restaurant is not equipped for that. Save yourself the disappointment and watch the game somewhere else. HOPE THIS HELPS ANY FANS OUT THERE.
