The carne asada is hands down some of the best around and it's amazing no matter what you order it on. Honestly, we've worked our way through a good chunk of the menu and everything has been consistently fresh and delicious. This was my first time here to this establishment. The staff here is very friendly and tenitive to their customers. They brought us chip and salsa after we first got seated. I ordered a combination plate that came with a wet shredded Beef burrito, shredded beef taco, rice and beans. Which was very flavorful and tasty. This location was very clean and well staff. Came here for a family dinner as was in area and saw the revuewd were decent for a spot with margaritas and good ol fashioned mexican food. Was seated quickly and staff were nice enough. Attempted to order a mezcal margarita but waiter said they didnt make thise and instead ordered a house margarita...drink came out an was ok...seemed a little weak with regards to tequilla but was ok. First of all we were seated in this back room that looked like a cafeteria. It was right next to the kitchen. It was hot in there and there was a TV but it was not on. There were other people in the restaurant that were seated in the normal restaurant area, so not sure why we were escorted to this empty room with no other guests. The tables were not clean. The food was disgusting. I ordered simple chicken nachos. You would think they can't mess that up... WRONG! These nachos were so bland and tasteless. All they had on them was chips covered with a layer of refried beans, then a layer of unseasoned tasteless chicken and topped with an extra thick layer of cold congealed cheese. Absolutely disgusting! I couldn't even break the cheese without cutting it with a fork and knife and eventually gave up and ate less than half my food. For 2 entrees (nachos and fajitas) our total was $55. Absolute waste of money! read more

4/5/2024 Just got home from our very first dinner at Casa Jimenez. G U S T A V O He is the epitome of what Customer service is all about. I counted about 17 adults and 14 kids in our party tonight. Gustavo waited on us and had the memory of a computer and got all our orders right. I was so impressed that he could do this without writing down our orders. His memory accompanied with his amazing personality.... All I can say, is we have found a new place to eat out at. The food was soooo good. The endless chips and salsa is hardly common at these sit down places, and makes everything worth the extra $$ we pay to eat out. I liked it. The whole experience at a new to us, place. We visited on a Monday night and there was no waiting. I had the three-item plate with a shredded beef taco, a Chile relleno and a cheese enchilada. My husband had the burrito and Chile relleno. The good came out quickly. I would say my food was fine. Nothing spectacular but nothing wrong with it, either. The relleno was served with a green sauce over the top, which surprised me because it always comes with a red sauce at other restaurants. There were plenty of chips and salsa. The chips had a slightly off flavor, like maybe the oil had been used too long. The jalapeño margaritas were fine, but nowhere near as spicy as I would have liked. The restaurant was clean and not loud. The highlight of our dinner was our server, Enrique. He was great! I wish we could give half stars because this place deserves higher than a 3. The greeter was friendly and the waitress was prompt. However the food was subpar. The fajitas were under seasoned, the beans were bland, salsa was watery, the corn tortillas tasted old (like they were frozen then microwaved). The mole tasted like it served from a can. I've had them everywhere even in Mexico. It's my go to item in Mexican restaurants. The cheese wasn't even melted inside the chili relleno. It was obviously under cooked. The taco tasted good, but was on the smaller side. Very stingy with the rice and beans. They need bigger portions of rice and beans, C'mon it doesn't cost that much !!! The chips and salsa were good. The food is authentic Mexican and the service is good. The ambiance is pretty average but not special.

Ambiance is kid friendly and the bartender can make some drinks! They were not skittish with the alcohol. I had their signature holiday Gingerbread drink my Sid had The Grinch as well as Rudolf shot. Amazing. The chips were freshly made nice and hot and the salsa was delicious even the pico was amazing. I got the Shrimp plate it comes with rice and beans but I also wanted fish so they were able to sub one shrimp taco for a fish taco and the fish was delicious well seasoned and flaky not over cooked even after I reheated it for lunch the next day. We went on a Tuesday the drinks were so good we ended up meeting new friends and celebrating with them until they closed. The server was friendly and we were seated right away! I will definitely be returning for their Tuesday special as well as making sure I arrive before 7pm so I can take advantage of the happy hour. Service was okay. Not terrible just the typical service I have had better servers go above and beyond but our server was cool and down to earth just felt he could've made a little more effort to check in on us.
