Great customer service! Great customer service is not the only thing. The restaurant is super clean and well organised. They have nice rustic tables and chairs. Some outside seating is also available. This restaurant serves good food as well. The selection of dishes is very good and you can request to make specific dish the way you like it which is always a bonus. The foods we ordered came in fast and rated really good. This used to be a good little spot, but today completely changed my opinion. Before my food even arrived, I was questioned by about whether I was going to eat my salsa. He actually said they were "trying to keep costs down." Really? It felt like he was watching us just to see if we touched the salsa. That's not the kind of dining experience anyone wants. On top of that, the bathrooms have been closed to customers for a long time--maybe to save on toilet paper costs? The food itself has gone downhill too. The burritos are skimpy on ingredients and taste more like a flat Taco Bell burrito than something fresh and authentic. I'd rather spend my hard-earned money at a place that appreciates and values its customers. Unfortunately, Serrano's Fresco Grill no longer feels like that place. read more

I cannot for the life of me leave without doing this review for this place. I wanted to try a different taco shop So i went here. Bad idea!! Ordered a Carne asada burrito without rice and without beans. Which SHOULD have guacamole. The damn burrito had BARELY A DROP of guacamole in it and I couldn't even taste it!! It didn't have Pico de gallo.... it was Carne asada, cheese, sour cream, and a micro-droo of guacamole that I couldn't even taste!! This shop has a lot of potential bc Serrano is such a delicious name, and the reason why I decided to try this place out again only to be disappointed all over again!! I keep doing this to myself.... thinking the food is gonna be better since a few years has passed and it's still the same. Not much flavor and very basic. The guys here are very nice though, salsas are legit spicy and the place is clean. The food is the show stopper though. It just needs to be better! Ughhh, I should have just went to Familia Grill!! The service was great. The woman in the front was bubbly. Ordered the carnitas plate. The carnitas were not hot. And were over salted. Pucker up was the reaction. Same with the guacamole. Way too salty. The beans and rice were ok. Tasted canned though. Flour tortillas were warm but hard. The green salsa was delicious. Didn't try any other ones though. The cilantro and onions were fresh. This isn't authentic Mexican food. There's caution tape up because the restroom is out of order but ppl were still allowed to go back and use another one. read more

Great little Mexican restaurant. Trust me and try the meat, bean, and cheese burrito, with Al Pastor. The breakfast burrito with Chorizo is also a great item of theirs. It has some great seasoning and stands out compared to some others I have had at other restaurants. Chips are good and pair very well with the Xtra Hot Arbol Salsa. It will burn your mouth though if you just keep eating it with just chips, but is pretty smooth with other food. If you enjoy spice, this is a salsa for you. It is nice to have a salsa bar at a place! Some of the friendliest staff at any place, and they get the food out to you fast too. They do close early though, and that is the only thing that kept me from coming in more. read more

I really wanted to like this place, I really did. It's close to work so the location is convenient (our lunch is 30 minutes). My coworker and I were hungry and couldn't wait for lunch! Tacos sounded amazing at the moment so we decided on Serrano's. I ordered the two shrimp taco combination plate, she got al pastor tacos and another coworker got a torta. My shrimp was so chewy and even with salsa and lemon, there was no flavor. My coworker said her pastor had way too much of the sauce and it was more like a wet taco. My other coworker said his torta was just not good and he didn't enjoy it. The place was clean and the service was great! However, I don't think I'll be back. The hunt for a tasty taco shop nearby will continue. read more

Saw this restaurant while I was driving around during my lunch break and it looked quaint. Once I walked in, the restaurant had a bad smell. A cross between bad meat or bad cleaning routines. Idk how to explain it. The lady in the front was kind and bubbly, great customer service for sure. The restaurant wasn't in bad shape, tables were clean, counters were clean and salsa bar was fresh and neat. Salsa tasted great. I ordered 3 tacos, one asada (tasted good and tender), lengua (semi bland and not over cooked) and a chicken taco (well seasoned and not over cooked but some pieces tasted gross, that taste you know you should stop eating). I am literally sweating up a storm as I'm posting this. Everything else besides the tacos was great. But I will not be returning. read more

The menudo is the best around. Very tasty and always available. The owner looks you in the eye and speaks his truth so be ready for that. He stands by his food and takes pride in his place. I had never eaten here but had it catered for a birthday party. First of all.. the customer service is fantastic. The employees were all so kind and communicated how grateful they were for the big order -- that feels really good knowing your money is going to a local business where each order is important to their family! I needed a taco bad and it was Monday....so according to my yelp search for tacos Serrano's was just around the corner. I got a carne asada and an al pastor taco. They came bare and you dress them to suit yourself. They have onions, cilantro, pico degallo, and multiple stepped heat salsa. Pretty good, I did like the carne asada best though. Good cuts of meat, no fat and very tender. The facility was very clean and well lighted. Bathrooms were clean. Good parking here and they have an outside patio. Good place ill be back.... read more

Came here craving a Torta, asked the staff for a recommendation. They said, get half carne asada and half chicken. I said, what? You can do that? Let me tell you I am one happy customer. The bread was super fresh and fluffy. The meats were well seasoned. And the salsas/hot sauces were just right, not to bland but not too spicy, with a bit of smoky flavor. Yum. I would definitely recommend this Taco Shop. My husband loves bean and cheese burritos. He said the beans were delicious and I agree. There are many ways to rate a restaurant; value, service, taste, and efficiency are just a few characteristics that yelpers use. My ratings are generally based on taste. I'm not a stickler for service but I do expect hot food to be delivered to me hot and within an appropriate time frame. At Serrano's you can expect decent food served fast...lightning fast. You can also expect to find nearly a dozen side bar options to help augment your meal. Most of the meals lean toward the bland side; which is probably why they have so many salsas available. But the food tastes fresh, refreshing even. Their carnitas is passable but not highly recommended. Stick with the grilled chicken if you prefer delicious consistency. And don't bother with the combo option on the burrito unless you're really into a ton of carbs. You see they stuff the burrito with red beans and rice instead of serving it on the side. So what you end up getting is a Chipotle-sized massacre. It's very busy during lunch and finding a table in the dining room may be difficult. The machacha, chorizo and al pastor burritos, and sopapillas were fantastic. Conveniently located by Starbucks and my husband's job (while we lived here), we ate here often. My husband even used them often to cater work functions and business meetings. This is a family run business and the owners were always incredibly sweet, accomodating, and loved the Lord which made everything which was already terrific, even better! Will definitely be paying them a visit whenever we visit! Hard to come across good folks and businesses like that these days! read more
