We dropped in Saturday around 2:15pm. It wasn't that busy. Very nice garden/greenery and peaceful outside. They have owls and chickens here. There's 2 tasting flights to choose from for $20. Most of their wines are fruity, but they are heavy on their tannins here especially for reds. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. My girlfriends and I decided to swing by after Wente. I called beforehand around 2:30 and asked if we could walk in and the man the answered said to come on by. I actually enjoyed this experience here so much more. Felt so much more personal. The drive in was so cute. It's a smaller winery, felt very homey and charming! Definitely best for smaller groups and had a more chill/relaxed vibe compared to other wineries. Glenn encouraged that people bring picnics to enjoy as I don't believe there is food on the property. Such a quaint and relaxing place! Made reservations for Sunday afternoon tastings to celebrate a few birthdays. We were able to bring picnic foods from home and the Livermore farmers market and enjoy it with their delicious wines at the beautiful outdoor garden. Super friendly and unrushed service. Our favorite winery to visit that has outdoor picnic style seating! You can bring your snacks/picnic and enjoy their delicious wines! Our kids loved the open outdoor area and it kept them entertained while the adults got to drink wine and chill! Beautiful decor and friendly staff. Everything about this winery is chill! Their two friendly poodles came to greet us. Our kiddos adored them! Their wines are really good! Our favorite is their Italian Barbera! Yum! Lovely small winery with nice grounds overlooking the vineyards. They have quite a few tables spread out in different areas. The wine was also good. I can't give it 5 stars because the service was poor on the day that we went (Sunday). We got seated and waited but no server came out and we had to go into the tasting room to get our first pour. Really beautiful garden and laid back atmosphere when tasting. They weren't busy at all when we went at 4pm on a Sunday and were able to accommodate us as walk-ins which was nice. Each tasting was $20 and they have two different flights, so we did one of each. 6 wines in each. The sommelier we had provided information about the wine but wasn't super talkative (if that's something you look for when tasting). We weren't fans of the first few wines but they got better as we went into the reds. We probably would have bought a few bottles but then something happened that really put us off...... We were halfway through our tasting when an employee came over with a new tasting menu, saying she noticed there were errors in the one we had and had to give us a new one. We thought it was odd but said ok. Then we saw that most of the wines on the new menu were priced significantly higher than the one we just had! I don't understand how half an hour before closing you realize that your prices are wrong? And why you wouldn't just take the loss on the last pair of tasters for the day and just update the menu the next day? That really brought down our overall impression, and because we only liked but didn't love any of the wines we don't plan on returning. read more

Discovered this gem during Christmas in the vineyard weekend 2021 and loved it! I enjoy wine and most often the sulfates found in many wine varietals leave me feeling sick. Italian wines have a higher acidity and don't often require a substantial infusion of sulfates. If you're looking for traditional Italian style wines, great customer service, and an intimate picturesque venue.... search no more. We have many wonderful wineries in Livermore and this is my new favorite. Bring snacks or pack a lunch and seat yourself at one of the many outside tables sprinkled around the tasting room. The winery is in a really unique setting with lovely outdoor space that is stunning. The people that work there are very nice and the service was excellent. The wine is very good as well. Those are the good qualities. Although the wine is excellent it is overpriced when you compare them to many of the other awesome wineries in the Livermore area. They charge a $20 tasting fee and then tax you which was a surprise to me. I've never experienced that before. They also won't reimburse the tasting fee if you buy a bottle of their wine. I was disappointed to hear that! That has never been my experience in the Livermore Valley. Surprisingly, they wont provide their WiFi password to paying customers. For the most part the experience was nice, however, I probably won't return to this particular winery for the reasons mentioned in this review. read more

Good wine, pretty grounds and has a "kick back and relax" atmosphere. Reservations required. They are pretty organized with the whole covid thing and it seems to work well for them. They have a check in table out front then shown to your table or seating area. They have quaint and intimate areas set up for your tasting. They even have speakers and music set up hidden in the bushes to enhance your visit. I believe the reservations are for 90 minutes and it went by quickly. The cool thing about it was we were not quite done because we brought our own picnic and just hung out, bought more wine, and had a great time. No one was there trying to pressure us to leave at the end of our allotted time. They encouraged patrons to bring their own picnic or snacks which was pretty cool. The garden furniture we were sat at wasn't the most comfortable but it didn't detract from the experience. We had a great time and i'd go back again. read more

Rodrigue Molyneaux (RM) is a hidden gem in the Livermore wine country. Seriously, it's hidden. Blink and you'll miss it! The winery is tucked away off a country road most people don't travel on. Intrigued? I was! The grounds at RM are very natural and relaxing. The tasting room is tiny but there are plenty of spots to sit and picnic outside. Now for the wine! we picked this place due to the lovely reviews online it said good for kids we walked in with our 11 month old daughter and the woman at the counter gave us a dirty look and then proceeded to say they didn't allow children because they were too fancy. I said okay I don't want to stay where we are not welcome needless to say we will never be back and we will let everyone we know, know how horrible rude this place really was. you might want to take off of your online say you are good for kids then. read more

Nice people but once again, they only had one white to taste on a 95 degree day. We went there specifically to taste their Italian red but unfortunately they weren't tasting it that day. However, I should mention that the winery is not for anyone allergic to horses (ranch with horse stables is immediately next door). My ladies and I were out wine tasting for the day, and I'm glad we came here last. We spent the most time here, and you would too. The property is serene and rustic. It's outside seating only, and luckily the weather was perfect (because if was 110F last week). The fee for the tasting is $10, and it's not waived if you buy a bottle. But the tasting menu has around 9-10 wines so I think it's worth it. Bottles are around $28-40. And I enjoyed every. single. one. Seriously, they were all good, and I ended up buying a bottle of merlot. Though they have many wines to taste, the vineyard is still small production. They have a few events for their members, but nothing on the scale for private events like weddings. And the winery is definitely off the beaten path. You can easily miss it, and the road isn't paved. Also, the owner lives on the property, so you're getting a very homey, welcoming experience. The pourings can take place outside if there's seating, which is something I've never seen before. It's nice to sit down, relax with friends, and continue with the tasting. I recommend bringing food because you'll be there for awhile. And no dogs. read more

We visited this winery for the first time last weekend. (Thanks, Yelp bookmarks!) As others have mentioned, it is off the beaten path, which I generally prefer. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner's grandson and dog. Other than peeing on our car (the dog, not the grandson), he was really chill. We just laughed and made our way to the tasting room. We were greeted by a nice man who took our payment for our tasting on their new iPad payment system. Nice and quick. We sampled at least eight wines, one white, a bunch of Italian blends, a reserve cab, and a port. Their port is really "light" as far as dessert wines go. We left with a bottle of il Pavone and a bottle of Cabiovese, both red wine blends. They don't waive the tasting fee with a purchase. However, the tasting is generous so totally worth the $10/person. They have a pretty areas with tables so this is definitely a keeper for a future tasting and a picnic lunch. read more

This winery is a special find. We did a full tasting round (11 wines) and all of the wines were very fine to outstanding. Lots of outdoor tables in a quiet and beautiful setting. Yay! Italian varietals are all around me in Livermore, even if you can't buy them in stores. I had my first Molyneaux wine in Swirl, something called a Cabiovese, which I loved. Turned out that it won't be released for sale until June 2012, along with a Sangiovese. Theay also have a Malbec blend. The grapes are grown immediately around the tasting room. There's some lovely garden area outside if you want to sit there. The pourers were very friendly, and the $5 flight included something like 7 different wines, all of which were at least pretty good. Three of them were rated by Wine Enthusiast. read more

My husband and I enjoyed a visit to this winery last month. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. We visited a few wineries earlier in the day, and this was the perfect way to end our day. Reservation required and choose your own table in the gardens. Our options were a little limited for parties of 2 because many of the more desirable spots were reserved for parties of 4. Next time we'll bring outside food now that we know it's an option. Covid format was to go inside and buy individuals tastings by the glass (different size pours). My husband and I tried 4 different wines. It's possible we had end of day wine fatigue, but we didn't love any of the wines. We'll go back some time to give the wines another try since we loved the setting so much. read more

Our first experience here was during barrel tasting weekend. I was intrigued about their wine, so I made it a point to stop by a few weeks later when I had time for a proper tasting. The service is top notch here and I felt the people who work here are well-informed but still very relatable. They also provided some good recommendations for restaurants and wineries. Anyways the tasting room is pretty and lit from the windows facing the gorgeous courtyard area. This was my first time here. I had no expectations, but I came away being impressed. The gardens and picnic areas are very nice. The hosts urbane and well versed in their wine and the industry. I had a very good time. We left with one bottle each of the following: * 2011 il Fiore (the Flower), 60% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, notes of dark fruit, red cherry and wood aromas. * 2011 Sangiovese, Aromas of red cherry, raspberry, cranberry, mint, and toasted cedar. Went here with the VIP pass for Livermore wineries. This place is amazing. They source some of their grapes from murrietas well. The wines are on the higher priced side but are top notch. The tasting room area is great and they have a nice outdoor space. As another user mentioned, this is a hidden gem! It has a great outdoor seating area with tree shading their two patio areas. We visited on Saturday, which was not too busy, but they had only a few close parking spots and then to overflow lots near their vineyards. We tried 1 white wine and the rest were reds. We enjoyed all of the wines and took 2 bottles home which are priced from about $35-$48. You are allowed to bring outside food to enjoy with their wines. The wine here's good but the low rating is due to the customer service for some reason I did not feel like I was appreciated as a customer especially because not only did I get a tasting but also ended up buying a bottle to take home. I'll be honest, I'm something of a service nazi....I've worked for Nordstrom for 12 years...so my standards are high. I sniff out poor service really quickly and then I shut down to whatever you're trying to give me.... My husband and I wanted to try a few new wineries that we haven't been to before. We've been to most in Livermore and love to go off the beaten path...which this place definitely is. We almost walked into whoever's house until we realized the tasting room was behind it. So we walked in and the lady in the tasting room told us it was $5 to taste...awesome, no prob. We're used to that, most places do that to keep the riff raff away and I'm not opposed to that. Most places also put it towards the purchase of a bottle, and we always purchase. Most places also don't stare at you like you're homeless until you fork over the cash either... seriously weird. Whoever she was, she was super cold and uninterested in being there. There was a super engaging, super friendly dark haired guy, who apparently doesn't work directly for the winery but does sales for several wineries in the area..and he understands what good service is. He made sure we were acknowledged as he helped others. I overheard personality-less lady say something to him like, "it's fine, I'll finish with them" or something, sounding SO irritated to try and help us. She did not seem passionate about wine, or selling it. Dark haired guy ended up with us, thank goodness because I would have walked out. He knew his wine and knew how to sell it. We bought their Il Sigreto and Pinot Blanc. The Pinot Blanc was actually what drew us to come here....hey look, we're young and know about wine! Hey stone faced tasting room lady... a word of advice. Don't be cold to your customers just because they are under 40. We go tasting more than most your customers... but you make me never want to come back here. read more

Went here with friends that are members and am happy that I did as I am now a member too. This vineyard is quaint I guess for lack of better word. It's not mainstream "hey look at me", but is relaxing and most importantly have amazing wine. They're wine is Spanish influence as well as A unique take on Bordeaux. I'm huge on red wine and a list of 9 wines to taste and 8 of them are red, I was ready to sign up. Tastings are $10/person and you can taste in the cute wine or outside in the patio with a fountain. Very quiet. There are also horses that can be viewed which my children enjoyed. Jeff and Carlos were working the register as well as the pours. If you sit down n the patio they'll come out and pour for you and the group. I really enjoyed the fact that they were not overly populated. This place isn't for everyone. I don't say that because they produce bold, fruit-forward wine that may not suit those faint of palette. I don't say that because it's a small, family-owned operation that welcomes all patrons with the same level of hospitality and cheer (wine snobs need not stop by). I say that because it is one of my favorite Bay Area destinations, and I'd like to keep it on the down low. If you enjoy: -Bringing your own food for a small picnic (2-6 people) -Shooting the breeze with the tasting room manager, who is happy to explain wine and techniques to your wine-fearing friends -Reasonably priced (starts around $20) bottles -Petting the tasting room dog -Not being overtly strong-armed into buying (the wine sells itself) ...then you need to put this place on the must-do list! It's great for a date, for your parents visiting from out of state, for a small group of friends or a quick stop'n'taste. Not great for large or boisterous groups, unless you rent the place out ahead of time. The staff is among the friendliest you'll find in wine country, but don't expect to be waited on.
