These Chicago streets!!! I hit a BAD pothole Saturday so I was on a flat. Turns out I bent the rim in pretty bad. Took it to the dealer to get the wheel locks off but I wasn't buying a tire there or getting my rim replaced there, a rip off. I had the spare put on and the tow truck driver recommended coming to the city to this spot. They totally hooked it up! Professional and efficient, they took the tire, buffed out the rim and I just needed air in the tire thank goodness! The price was fair and reasonable! Service was okay but the quality of the tire was too bad. Both tires I bought got bubbles within a few days of getting them. When we just brought a new rubber for the first tire that popped else where they looked and said the tire was defective. The wires of the tire was not supposed to be out there like that especially on a good looking tire. That it could've been worse if we didn't slow down when we noticed the car driving weirdly.. 1 tire had a huge bubble and popped unknowingly and then after a few days the car started driving weirdly again and smelling of rubber so we looked and seen 3 HUGE bubbles on the inside of the tire. He said the 2nd tire was so bad he never see anything like that and hes surprised how we made it to him for a new tire. We knew it was bad but the way it looked when he took it off looked like it could explode in someone's face any minute. We wasted 80$ for 2 tires from Rodriguez Rims & Tires just for the tires to be defective and deadly..Please go elsewhere they don't give good tires.. I had taken my 2004 Santa Fe SUV to another shop for some work to be done. The mechanic told me that all that was needed was a wheel alignment and that his shop did not do them. So because my husband had previously taken his Sienna mini van to Rodriguez, I took my SUV there this past Friday by 8am for just a wheel alignment , and was told that the mechanics would not be there until 9am. The shop ran into a problem with another person's vehicle, which was the priority at the time, in which I was told my alignment would take a couple of hours. I did not mind the wait, but around 10ish my husband came to pick me up, and we ran a few errands. Then around 1:00 pm or a little after received a call from Rodriguez tires and Rims that my vehicle was ready. I picked it up and never doubted that the work had been done so I paid $100.00. But after that, my car sat at home on Saturday and Sunday without being driven, then on Monday, my husband had driven the SUV and told me that the wheel alignment had not been done. My car was veering all the way to the right just as it had been doing before I took it there to Rodriguez. So we took it back to the original shop where the work had been done and the mechanic who worked on my car told us that nothing had been done to the SUV, which he said was a RED FLAG. In life , it is understood that things can happen, but what I did not appreciate was paying for a service that clearly was not done. It would have been better for me to have been communicated with that they could not get to my vehicle, then I could have taken it someplace else, than to pay for something that two persons verified as NOT being done. We did contact Rodriguez to let them know about this unfortunate situation and they wanted us to bring the SUV back so that they can check it out. However, my gut feeling says NO! I went here to get my tire patched after hitting a nail, and mistakenly left my car unlocked with the worker while I went into the office to pay. I noticed after a few weeks that the valve cap wasn't placed back on my tire when they put it back on, which I thought was strange. A few more weeks later I hit a pot hole and needed to place the spare on again. I couldn't because the worker stole my crow bar from my brand new car. I had used it to put the spare on when I ran over the nail and then the next time I needed it, it was gone. And because I didn't have my crow bar, I had to spend $100 calling a tow company to come change my tire. With all the tire companies in the area, I highly recommend going to another! read more

Best prices hands down! It was well worth the drive to get some "used" tires that look brand new. I have large wide all wheel drive sports tires on my car that cost $200 a piece at discount tire, and even more at NTB or other name brand tire shops. I heard about this place from my boyfriend's dad, he said don't judge the place by appearance, it's a nondescript garage you would easily fly by, but they have great tires and service. He was totally right I got a full set of barely used tires for $240, that's the price of a single tire at other places. The weather was awful and they don't have a real waiting area so they let you stay in your car while they install the new tires. The place stays busy so they move really fast but give a 30 day warranty just in case you need to come back, make sure to keep your receipt. read more

For the price.... it's not worth it. I had a busted rim, and they wielded it for $100, but they didn't smooth and finish the wielding or paint it. A new rim, complete with sensor from the dealership is $497. I bought a new rim, without sensor, online for $125 and $40 shipping. To only save $65 dollars and have a sh***y rim, worked for me this time, but I've got no reason to return to this location for that kind of service. read more

I was in desperate need for brakes and rotors I basically came in the door already knowing what I needed I just needed an estimate on the price and labor but one I asked one of the workers for a Price on a caliber he told me he didn't know but that's what I needed mind you already knew what I needed upon arrival I just needed an estimate so I did feel stereotyped because he threw a couple other parts in as well that I know I did not need. He proceeded to tell me to go inside of the office to speak to the manager he's aware that I'm coming in there and he'll give me the price on the caliper I waited for about 10 minutes before someone finally came in and sat down they said they were not management but they did give me a price I went back outside to the car, i actually have all of this on video. as I walked to my car I realized that my bumper ( from a previous accident) was falling apart and had gotten stuck near my left tire so someone standing by the garage door if they had some string or may be zip ties that I can use to tie my bumper up he went on to say that he didn't work there so I apologized and got back in my car, As I was about to pull off I seen him walking towards me saying that he had asked one of the workers for me if they had string and they were coming to talk to me as well. When the worker came to my car he jokingly said "I can tie it up for you for 40 or 50 bucks" I don't work for free and I flicked his hands in the air I tried explaining to him that I wasn't askig if you can do it for me I was asking if you guys had some string but overall his attitude was disgusting and the fact that he was using sarcasm to mask his greed was even more unprofessional. Then Right before I was about to pull off there was another woman that Had gotten into an altercation with that same guy! I've come came here a couple times in the past and my experiences were no different they've always treated their customers with the upmost disrespect making sexual hints to the Single women that need service. The only reason why I stopped there that day was because my brakes were squeaking so loud that I felt like they were going to break in half & my dad used to recommend them to me years ago. read more

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They claim they can fix your car but they actually cause car problems. Took my car in to have ball joints put on and left with my ABS light on. Told them to fix my ABS light, they refused. I had to raise hell for them to give me my money back. Went somewhere else, found out they did NOT put the ball joints on properly. They damaged the ball joints and I had to pay for a whole new part. This place needs to be shut down. They are SCAMMING!!!!!!! read more

Called Rodriguez to see if they had my tire in stock. Whoever picked up the phone said that they did. I asked twice and both times they said that they did and quoted me a price for two tires for about $170. I then bought a coupon to help reduce the out-of-pocket expense. I went out the same day to get the tires put on my car. When I get to the shop, they not only didn't have the tires, but asked me who gave me the information. I said, "Whoever picked up the phone". A representative said that the tires would be in the next day. I call the next day and they said that they didn't have the tires and that I would have to put a deposit down for the tires. This is a shady operation that seems to be run by those that are not on the straight and narrow. Now I have to argue with yelp to get my money back for my coupon purchase. The shop has horrible customer service . I arrived to the tire shop at 3:13. There was is about 6 guys standing around. One guy greeted me, after we discussed prices he went where the other guys was and stood with them for a moment. One guy came and took my flat tire off another car pull up and the same guy who's working on my car runs over and take the tire off that car as well. As he's getting tires the other 6 guys remain in the shop and all begin to eat. It is 3:42 and my tire is still not changed... I spoke with the guy who spoke to me when I pulled up and he tried to make me sympathize with him because that's this is the first time everyone is eating. How is that my problem? And You could have told me when I pulled up "hey it's lunch time for us you can wait if you like, but we're about to eat." read more

Luckily, I didn't have to drive too far to get here because the tire was shot. Long story short, this place was awesome. They had my tire in stock and didn't charge me extra to put it on. The service was very fast and I was on my way in no time. They also take credit cards which is big plus at 1 in the morning. I recommend this place to everyone. Overall I was impressed. I went in due to a malfunctioning heating system. Rodriguez was able to give me half price of what my other estimate was. There was also a Yelp discount that I purchased which saved me 35 bucks. They replaced my heater core and got it working in a day's time. I have bought tires from this place before and I had no issue, but last Saturday, I went to them because my tire was flat and asked them to check and see if it could be repaired or should I get a new tire. I was told that the seal was loose and that was it., the tire was fine. Well, the next morning, I had to drive to maywood from the south side and while I was in my appointment, the tire went flat again. I was lucky that a tire shop was across the street and still open. They checked the tire and saw that the tire had a deep opening in it and the could have popped at any time! I couldn't believe it. I had my child with me on a long expressway drive and my tire could have exploded at anytime because the folks at Rodriguez did not really check my tire out. I don't know, it may have had something to do with all the empty beer bottles that were left all around! I don't appreciate having my child's life and mine put in jeopardy and when I call to explain what they did, I was told that sometimes a tire would get bad over night.....now I am insulted because I was treated like a dummy over the phone. read more
