Had a nail in a tire today, since VIP put on the tires, thought might still be under their warranty where they do tire repairs for free, but that is only 2 years from tire installation and has been four years. VIP patched the tire, I was in and out in about 20 minutes....also two of my tires had the valve covers missing, so they replaced all of them with matching ones. Highly recommend VIP tires. 04/27/18. I called in the morning for a Vogue tire , he asked for the size and the vehicle it needed for , and told me the total for the tire . He was very profesional and told me that he can get the tire by 2-3 pm same day , I told him to order it and call me when the tire was ready , he called me at 2:30 and said come in and we will have it mounted for you , we close at 7:00 so just come before we close , it was 6:00 pm after work and I was out by 6:30 Fast , easy and profesional I work 7 day a week and this how I run my business and that what I expect from other business to work, make it easy for the customer . read more

K, so I had put off getting new tires long enough...my car has just over 50K miles and I desperately needed some new ones, probably could have used new ones 20K miles ago but the price of new tires were enough to put me off...alas I couldn't wait any longer, esp w the impending winter season. this is the third time they have done a job for me-polite-thorough-kept calling to keep me informed. went to have ac compressor checked, no ac-told compressor wasn't working. well it was working just fine as they filled it and ran a leak test. while up they did a vehicle check and found that my brakes, all around were in very bad soon to be unsafe shape. This is my family vehicle. They did the job for a fair price, kept the parts to show me, very bad, and took great care of me. Greg was as nice as can be. Most auto related shops are jerks that want your money. not the case. And they offered me a ride home after i dropped off my truck. Just great service. read more

Their oil changes are more expensive than going to the dealer, sold me tires less than 2 yes ago, bought warranty for them and 1 had a puncture and they wanted to sell me all 4 new tires again, do not stand behind their products and do not honor warranty, will never be going back there, reported them with the BBB and they never answered them, don't waste your money here read more

I am a shop owner and used this place for over 20 years Woody used to seem to be ok. Last year I had a very expensive top of the line tire go bad . There was not enough rubber around the beade during manufacturing. Woody claimed first I installed it wrong. Then he said the manufactuer would not honner the claim . I can understand that. I asked Woody for a replacement at a discount, he refused to even discount the replacement tire. I purchased the tire at no charge for my customer. I knew it was defective, it was obvious. He also sent a kid by to watch me use my tire machine, (something I have used for 30 years). He put this kid up to the scam to say I installed it wrong. But he could not tell me what I did wrong. Or why the thousands of tires I had put on were fine. (I always patch and don't plug tires, Which requires removal) I turned the defective tire in through another tire supplier and it was replaced for the cost of shipping. If he would have knocked $5.00 of the tire I would have been happy. But he proved he no longer give good customer service and is only there for the bottom line. I hate writing a bad review, But when I hear someone has gone there for Tires I tell them this story and say go anywhere else BUTV.I.P. read more

So I have previously bought tires from this place and yes the price is cheaper than most but when it come to their warranty or road damage insurance they are the worst. 1st the manager was telling his reps that the employee will get a $20 spiff if they get any service or sale over $200( as a manager myself that should be held in the morning meeting not in front of customer. It makes us the customer feel like we are going to get ripped off.) second the other reps are telling their customers that the insurance covers any type of damage In front of me. Again leading the customer to false assumptions about what is covered in the warranty(same tactic they used on me.) when I went to get my tire warranted the price they gave me was almost the same price as a new one. They told me this was so because my tire just pass 25% tread life. They never mentioned any tread life stipulation when I bought the insurance. They told me that there wasn't anything that they could do and that i would have to pay the full amount in order to get my tire fixed. I was turned off completely had them fix my tire and vowed never to return to this store again. read more

Greg the Polish Prince helped me out big time. I recommend this place. I'm surprised about the lower rating reviews, but I'll leave my experience. I cannot attest for the warranty backing on my new tires yet, hopefully I don't have to, but I did purchase it. Let me start off by saying, I do not have good luck with tires. Probably the worst luck of any Chicagoan. Nails from the Home Depot parking lot, to potholes, to bubbles in the sidewall through no fault of my own, I've experienced it. I work many, many hours a week and do not have time for a disabled car. I went in there pretty angry as a received another flat in my newer '13 Impala. Bought it brand new so I wouldn't have these kinds of problems. These were Dealer tires. Goodyear eagle ls2's. Junk! Bubble in the sidewall popped, again! Over the summer I bought a single matching tire from these guys. Said I had a bubble. This time, I asked them to get rid of these tires off my car. Low and behold, they jacked up the car & all four tires had bubbles in them! Even the previous newer one I bought from them over the summer had a bubble. Greg went above and beyond. Pro rated those junk tires, even called Goodyear up for me and they warrantied the newer tire I bought off them. I paid the remaining balance and was a happy camper. I got the Assurance tires. They feel real good so far. Noticed the difference immediately. Wait time was about an hour and a half, on a busy weekend afternoon. Took care of me, no appointment. I already recommended these guys to my workers. read more

I first went to VIP tires this past Saturday. I realized while running errands that my back tire had gone flat and they were located a half a block from where I was. When I first walked in I was helped by a very nice African American man. But that's were my good experience stops. I explained in detail that I needed my driver side rear tire and my passenger side front tire to be replaced. I bought two new tires and was told it would be a 45 min wait. I waited over and hour and a half. Once I asked how much longer it would be, the very rude very unprofessional older white man at the desk said I don't know. I then saw the man that first attended to me and he said oh I want to show you that you have a nail in your back driver side tire. He took me to the back and showed me the nail. I told him yeah I know that was the tire I asked you to replace with the new one. He told me well the two new ones we put in the front because your back tires are still good(although that was not at all what I asked for) He then told me the tire is still good we can patch it up for you and keep the two new ones in front. I agreed. Three hours after I left, my rear driver side tire was flat yet again. I called and they were closed. I had to wait until Monday to call again. Monday morning I spoke to Bill and he told me no problem bring it back in. When I took it back the experience was much worse. The guy at the desk was rude. I was told the same exact tire caught another nail. To me that was B.S I highly doubt they even fixed it. I told them to go ahead and patch it up again. About 30 mins later another rude man came out and told me some b.s story about the rubber being damaged on the inside and if they fixed it, I ran the risk of it popping on me. When I asked how much a USED tire would be they said 50 dollars(complete rip off) I told them to patch the tire and I would take my business elsewhre. After taking another 30 mins my car was finally done. With not so much as sorry for your inconvenience from the staff. I DO NOT recommend this place AT ALL. Very rude and untrustworthy. If I could give a no star review I would. read more
