Rod is the man! I was having a serious issue with one of the catalytic converters on my 2006 GMC Yukon XL Denali SUV last year. It was severely impacting the performance of the engine. Rod put it up on a rack, tested both cats, and confirmed that the driver's side cat was severely plugged. I knew what had caused it (bad mass air flow sensor), and had taken care of that problem, but needed to confirm that the cat was bad. Rod was able to get a replacement cat and install it the next day at a price that was very economical - much better than I had expected. It's been running great ever since. Thank you Rod! read more

I was referred to Rod's and was told I would get a good deal. I was a little skeptical but figured it was worth a try. I took my daughters car down and Rod came out right away. He gave me a fantastic quote and said to leave the car we could pick it up that afternoon. When we came back to pick up the car I was nervous the quote was wrong but to my delight it was slightly less than quoted. Rod is the man. He helped me out big time after two other muffler shops couldn't help me. I had a cross-threaded, over torqued oil drain bolt that I couldn't break loose (I tried EVERYTHING). After rounding the bolt head I went to Rod's Muffler; he was my last resort before having to tap the oil pan (which I definitely did not want to do). Complete flake. Don't waste your time. I made 2 appointments with Rod to have my catalytic converter replaced. The first time, I waited a week and when dropping it off, he said he couldn't do it. So I rescheduled for the following Monday, no show. WTF? Oh and he was himming and hawing about how expensive it was going to be. I get it what's the price??? HONEST, Reliable, Trustworthy, GREAT customer service, the list is endless. My family and I have been using Rod's Muffler Services now for more than ten years. Originally the exhaust system on my old crusty mobile went out and it sounded like tommy gun whenever I accelerated. For less than 20% of what we were quoted at other shops, Rod fixed the little old car and had me cruising like never before. More recently (1.5 years ago), after spending nearly $3000 at the GM service center, they advised me to replace my catalytic converter and would only charge me another $1500. Rod did it for 1/5th of the price. And advised me t hat I would soon need this other piece replaced on my exhaust system. The man knows his stuff! Here I am today, happy as can be because he's fixing the part he predicted would need replacement. He knows SO much about this stuff that I trust him with my eyes closed. The man is honest, kind, his service truly comes from his heart. He's hard working and doesn't stop until the job is done. When you're visiting him it's the real deal, it's the way mechanics should be! And, what's best is that he's always busy!
