HIGHLY RECOMMEND the team at Roemer's Point S for tire work. I brought in a Toyota RAV4 to put on studded snow tires and take care of rear brake replacement at the same time. They also had to change out the rotors which I am always suspicious of but the technician explained really nicely what the situation was and how I can take better care of the vehicle to prevent this in the future (which, by the way, is to wash your undercarriage during the winter to prevent salt corrosion to the rotors). The team took care of my vehicle at the appointment time and finished when they said they would. Everyone I spoke with was polite and friendly which is a bonus at a time when everyone is super busy. I used to be one of those guys that would comparison shop tire purchases and try and make sure I was getting the absolute best deal. Now I don't bother. The people at Roemer's are so incredibly friendly, they carry an array of top-quality tires, and their prices are always competitive with what others are offering. It just isn't worth it to look around. I like that I can make appointments, get appointment reminders, and they'll let me know when my vehicle is done all via text message. It's much more convenient for me than calling. When I do call, they're friendly and helpful. I'm glad to have found such a great shop to work with. read more

AMAZING. All I can say is that I am blown away with the service, and the urgency. I came in a complete mess with car problems (very short notice and they could get me squeezed in) needing to drive out of town just two days later, losing hope and thinking I wouldn't be able to make it to my family reunion.. the woman at the front desk was so calm and respectful that she made me feel immediately like I was in good hands. I brought my rig in after my master cylinder ran dry and I was unable to bleed my clutch myself. The service was prompt and I was back at work the next day. That being said, I recommend you know your stuff before you come here. When I was talking to the receptionist about the tow-in I just said "clutch issues;" sure enough they called me two hours later and said I needed a complete clutch job, etc etc, and quoted me around $2000. I'm not much more than a backyard mechanic but I know my rig inside and out and I knew that was a load of sh*t, so I headed straight down to the shop and talked to the mechanic myself. Explained the situation, the bleed problem, etc., and bang, a quick master cylinder replacement and a system flush had me back on the road the next morning for $275. So yeah, on paper these guys were the only shop in town that got me in same day and I couldn't be happier with the speed of service. The price on the repairs was reasonable too. But beware of the repair shop runaround because if I didn't know better they would have bent me over for a couple grand and a month on foot over a simple hydraulics issue. You should definitely have a good idea of what needs doing before you show up. UPDATE: the mechanic who replaced my master cylinder adjusted it HORRIFICALLY, such that after driving it for a couple months I had lost almost all travel in my clutch pedal and was struggling to get into gear. Nearly left me dead on the road a few times. Brought my rig into a different shop and they had me fixed up in a couple hours, they said they'd never seen such an awful job. Idk man read more

Got a flat & boy was the spare & jack hard to get to. Was told needed new tires and I wanted to explore used. Called Roemers, they had an almost new set of tires for $300. This included mounting and used tire disposal. Heck yes. When I went to pick up car they had reassembled all the stuff I had flung around with my spare. Total? $302. Best part? Even tho they are used get lifetime flat repair & rotations. Very very pleased. read more

Roemer is a CONMAN. I took my RAV4 to his business to have it serviced for years. I loved it, Roemer is friendly and personable, and really makes you feel like a valued customer. Two weeks after getting my vehicle serviced(full oil change and maintenance) my car broke down at three in the morning on lookout pass. After getting it to Roemer he explained to me that the transfer case had failed and the oil had leaked out, causing it to bind. He offered to fix it for me, and even give me a little bit of a "deal". At this point I was feeling a little suspicious, so I took my vehicle to Toyota Master Tech for a second opinion. The folks at Master Tech actually called me up and told me it was really strange, but all the oil in the transfer case had just disappeared. They told me it actually appeared that the person that serviced my RAV4 REMOVED THE OIL INTENTIONALLY, and that no leak could have happened. No oil was visible on the bottom of the transfer case, or splattered along the bottom of the car. I confronted Roemer about this, and he initially denied it, I then decided to sue him with a civil suit. Roemer then explained to me, in the same kind, smiling demeanor, that he actually could be responsible for the damage, but although Roemers is a locally owned business, that he is actually a part of a corporation, and they would be sending very powerful lawyers. His threat worked, and I dropped the suit. I was younger at the time and still regret not going through with suing him. I could not afford to fix the damages at the time, and ended up selling the car broken, for a huge loss. In the years since I lost my vehicle, I have heard a few other very similar stories to mine. It appears he preys on folks that know little about cars, by leaving something to break, so you come back to him so he will fix it for you. But don't worry because he will give you a "deal". read more

Been coming here for over 20 years. I had a flat in a tire in Helena over 20 years ago, that I later had an issue with and this was a sister company at the time. They quickly and easily took care of the new leak without any question or concern, all with smiles from coast to coast. Since then, I have utilized them heavily, having bought at least 5 sets of tires for a multitude of vehicles, always very pleased! I have always found it difficult to fork out $700-$1000 at anytime, which always includes care services, but I can say I have never been disappointed by the attitude and service that E.J., Jenny etc have offered. One thing I liked about them was the fact that my brakes were very screwed up and they did not tell me that I messed up....which is good because I hate that when places do that. I'm kind of biased, I suppose, because they're the only company I've gone to in Missoula to get my car worked on. The regulars at the front desk have always gone above and beyond for me. I'm a graduate, so I'm a little low on money once in a while. When I call needing to get a few things tuned up before a road trip, or something serious fixed, they ask what my budget is, and they fix what fits within my budget, and they are up front with which issues are priority. They have always been able to schedule me during times that are most convenient for me. Recently when I had a scare with something leaking in my car, they walked me through how to check on my engine over the phone. Any company that will spend half an hour on the phone with me, just so I feel safe driving home, is a company I would stick with. read more

Was having issues with opening the inside door handle of my old pickup. I did some research on the issue before bringing it in here and knew it had to do with the cables or rods that connect the latch and handles inside the door and it should be a pretty simple fix. They quoted me $650-ish to fix something like a blown electrical fuse inside the door. I hardly know anything about cars but I know that the door handle on my old truck has nothing to do with electronics. Pretty clear they were trying to take advantage of me. I took my truck to a different place and they fixed it for $120. They get a star for replacing my brake lights and being convenient but the blatant attempt to rip me off means I'll never come back. read more

Tried to scam me! I am very disappointed about this because they are very friendly and I thought they had a good local reputation. I am convinced they are dishonest here. Here's what happened: I took my truck in to Romers for a simple tire rotation and they recommended getting all 4 ball joints replaced and went on about how dangerous mine were. I had the ball joints done only a few months before and they were still under warranty so I took them to the mechanic who did them and he did not see any problem. Fearing this mechanic might be avoiding doing the warranty work, I took it to a disinterested third mechanic who agreed that the ball joints were in great shape. Further, Romer's quote to replace the ball joints was nearly two times what I paid the other mechanic. Had this alone happened, i would have assumed they were just incompetent, not dishonest. But, at the same time as my truck, I took my girlfriend's car in to Romers, also for a simple tire rotation. They recommended flushing the break fluid and again went on and on about how dangerous it was. Again, we had recently had this done on her car so I took it back to the tire shop where we had the breaks done and they reassured us, after testing it, that the break fluid was still like new. Two attempts to get me to pay for something I clearly didn't need in one week! I can't come to any other conclusion than these people thought I was young and didn't know anything about cars and tried to take advantage of me. Roemer's deserve's 6 stars out of 5 They met and exceeded my expectations as a customer. I bought new tires for my car right before leaving town to seasonally work elsewhere. I had a fluke problem with one of my tires and roemers was on the phone talking with the tire companies in another city getting everything figured out while offering me good advice. They came through for me when they could have just left me feeling hopeless in a city filled with scammers and left to buy new tires. They really have top notch customer service and I feel 100% satisfied and would recommend this place to anybody and I will continue to use roemer's as my #1 tire place to go to. read more

My journey with Roemers started like this. We were recommended snow tires with studs by a technician and we're not satisfied with the tires after 3,000 miles due to the studds being completely worn down into the tire. This caused us to go in and talk to Roemers about the tires and get them rotated. This did not go well. Not only did the staff no nothing about the tires warranty or Roemers customer satisfaction they made us call Hancock to confirm that this was not normal wear and tear. Why does the customer have to call the manufacturer about a recommended Roemers product??After confirming with Hancock that this was not normal and that the tires need to be replaced, the front desk staff was visabilty irritated for having to order new tires from Salt Lake. The real kicker though is driving home later that night and our car starts to shake pretty badly but stop when we applied the brakes. Come to find out after a Google search to check the lug nuts. I go out at 9pm on the coldest night of the year to find the entire driver side lugs nuts all lose. I do the best I can do with what I had to tighten them just so I could get to Roemers the next morning. I take off of work and head to Roemers by 8am and yes they tighten the nuts, but still seem irritated at our request to know the technicians name?? We travel on the highway alot and traveling at those speeds with my family in the car and lose lug nuts rattling around is a serious issue. Not happy to say the least. Go to Les Swabs. read more

Great for tires; not for engine work. I've given them multiple opportunities to live up to their great reputation, and I've been stung every time. So expensive and always surprising because more problems emerge that need to be fixed. People are very nice (except for lady at the counter). I guess their ideal client is the rich customer.
