I've been to Roesbery Car Care twice and have had great experiences both times! The first time, John fixed my headlight quickly and at a fair price. Most recently, I stopped by near closing time because I needed help opening a panel in my car to hide an AirTag. Even though they were about to close, John was happy to help and didn't charge me anything. What I appreciate most about Roesbery Car Care is that they're friendly, trustworthy, and reasonably priced. It was finally time for my first smog check on my car. I had been to a few places but left after their bait & switch tactics on their coupons. I also had a coupon for Roesbery's for $29.95 + Cert. and the only disclaimers where "Coupon applies only to vehicles 2000 or newer", and "Vans, trucks RVs & exotic vehicles $10 extra". So with my 2014 Audi A4 I thought I was good to go with the $29.95 price. WRONG! I was told that my 2014 Audi A4 is an exotic vehicle so it would be $10 more. Oh please! I walked out to a flat tire this morning. I wasn't sure if the tire would need to be replaced or if it was fixable. I found Roesbery Car Care through Google, and lucky for me they were open! Bonus points that they are less than 5 min away from home! I drove over with my spare tire and found them quite easily. They're on the corner of the street, so they're pretty hard to miss. I walked in and told them about my flat tire. The woman at the front desk Mila, was super sweet. She made sure someone helped me instantly. Within less than a minute, the tech John had taken my car in and worked on my tire right away. Walking in there, I didn't feel out of place. Everything had a very, "homey" feel. Like they were my friendly neighbors helping me out. Nobody tried to upsell me on anything, or tried to get me to do more work that I wanted/needed. Within 10 minutes, they were done. I am amazed by quality of service and care they had for me! Times are rough right now, so I'm even more grateful that they didn't try to take advantage of the situation, as many auto shops and dealerships do. I moved to the East Bay within the last year and have been looking for an auto shop similar to what I had in the South Bay (they treated me like family), and I think I may have found it :) This kind of service & quality is so hard to find! Got a 2017 Toyota Highlander with 180K miles on it. Visited the dealership for a recall and they said both my front control arms needs replacement and wanted to $3000 plus. Went to Roesbery and Mila quoted me $1600 (just labor had to bring my own part) including alignment and smog check. Eventhough they were very busy, was able to accomodate me and was scheduled after a couple of days. On the day of the repair, initially they said 8 hours and got it done in half the time. I went there for an oil change. They overfilled way more ( 1 quart). Took the car back so they can drain all of the extra oil. Overfilling your engine oil can cause serious damage to your engine. And mechanic supposed to know better than you. Not impressed at all. read more

I'm not experienced with cars and Mila was more than kind enough to explain the process and point out the parts needed. She also has helpful suggestions and is an honest woman who truly is just trying to help get your car fixed. Her prices are very reasonable and she doesn't pressure you to the service when I was still thinking about it which makes me comfortable around her. I took my car in for a full diagnostic since it hadn't been driven in months. I was told I would need $3300 in work. My boyfriend wanted to get a second opinion and I am so glad I did. The price for labor on a few things was very high once we looked over the document. There also were what we felt, "filler" work with labor costs that looked unusually high as well. His mechanic said the only thing wrong with my car was AC needing to be fixed which would be $300. (Which is what I originally took the car in for) Roesberry quoted me $565. We have had our mechanic work on two Mercedes, a BMW 6 series, and an Audi A7. The only problem is I moved to Walnut Creek and he is in Fremont. This situation is disappointing to think as a woman it is so hard to get your own car fixed and trust the shop you choose. I would suggest getting more than one opinion if you are a woman. The staff was very nice and I really wanted to like this shop bc of the great reviews and close proximity to my house. read more

I brought my Hyundai Santa Fe here because it was starting but wasn't holding the charge for me to drive it. They found that it had a really bad oil leak and was burning thru before it even hit the ground. They fixed the issue, when we picked it up a few days later, the car was still not working properly (not fault to them) and they found that the engine was the cause. So unfortunately we couldn't save the car, as it would've been too costly to repair. But with that being said Mila, the owner/manager at Roesbery was very helpful to me and even refunded me on the parts used since the car still didn't run properly as it had bigger issues. I recently bought a Groupon for Roesbery Car Care that included an oil change and a mechanic's appraisal. I sat on it for too long and the good folks here were kind enough to honour the Coupon even though it was a few days past due. I made a Friday appointment, dropped the car off, and when returned when it was ready and on time. I have a 1999 Subaru Legacy with 160,000+ miles on it, so I knew darn well that there would be a "Your Car is Ready, But we Found a Few Things" discussion. At this point, I usually tense up and worry about the damage that will be inflicted on my credit card. Actually, the list was pretty reasonable and Christine did a good job describing the items, and offering a rough "Safety First" prioritization. I really appreciated that. Now for those of you (including me) who have exclaimed - "Can You Believe How Much They Charged for X?", I went and got a second opinion at Diablo Auto Specialists. This is Gayle's shop and she subsequently convinced me that the Family that car repairs together, stays together. My final work list and bill from Diablo Auto Specialists was fully in line with what Roesbery Car Car provided.
