My wife's C7 Corvette would not pass smog due to a defective VVT solenoid. Took the car to Poet's Corner, they tested the system and confirmed the solenoid was defective. They replaced the part and then were able to issue us a clean new smog certificate, took the card in on Tuesday, got it back before lunch on Wednesday. Good prices, great staff, top notch crew. I spoke to Victor, who educated me on the parts, went over the pets I needed for a price comparison with liability and decided to get labor and pets from them. I dropped my car off the night before my appointment, and their key drop was very secure. I received the car the following day. Victor went over how much work was needed and took care of me. They quoted a price 2.5 times the going rate for repairs. I could be wrong, but it sure felt like they were taking advantage of a desperate situation. Luckily we were able to get the car in elsewhere for its repairs but were still out a $185 diagnostic charge. Bummer. read more

I literally started getting a weird sound followed by my Sentra losing power about a half block from this shop. I saw the shop on the corner and limped my way in, fully expecting to get taken advantage off simply because I needed to get my car running right then and had no choice but to deal. Not only did the owner NOT screw me over but he showed me how my problem was simply a loose wire and didn't even want to charge me for it. He did, however, let me know that my brakes were painfully thin and that if I got my pads and rotors replaced soon, I'd experience way less noice and vibration. I couldn't get the brakes done that day but I did return to have them done yesterday and he knock the job out in a couple of hour for about 50 bucks less than what he originally quoted me. You just don't find honest cats like this working on cars these days. Highly recommend! read more

We are so happy to have Poets Corner Automotive a block from our house. I called them when I had a flat tire and they were able to patch it and get it back on my car in a couple hours. Such nice employees and the shop is clean and well stocked. A couple days later I brought in my husband's car to have the brakes and rotors replaced as well as diagnosing and fixing a rattle in the front of the car. They had it back to me in the afternoon and it cost less than the quote from my dealer. We will be back for all our regular maintenance as well. read more

I'm so grateful for the guys at Poets corner automotive. I called three repair shops near Treat Boulevard and Main Street. One said they were too busy to look at it that day and another one had me leave a message and never did get back to me but the guys at Poets corner said come on in and we'll take a look. They quickly found that my car had a problem with its computer system and sensors and gave me an estimate right away. It ended up being slightly under the estimated amount and I was actually able to pick up my car the next day! Wow that was awesome. Sometimes you just get lucky and you find good people... Great service! Took car in for a simple oil change, and 2 days later my Change Oil sensor was still coming on. I called to let them know, and Victor said possibly one of his guys forgot to reset the sensor. I live fairly close by, but Victor himself drove over after they closed to save me a trip and reset the sensor. Not many places would do that!!! read more
