I'm only reviewing my experience this weekend. I've always had really good results with both locations. My one time negative experience is getting the wrong quote on a club set I was going to turn in for credit to get a used TaylorMade iron set. Saturday the young man quoted me $110 on my set. Ok, I'll come in on Sunday and make the deal. Sunday a different guy helped me, I think he's one of the assistant managers, he told me that my set was only worth $29. What??!! I can understand a miss calculation of $5-10, but that was a joke! And it wasted my afternoon. They really need to train these youngsters to give accurate information. *******UPDATE******UPDATE****** They made it right! I'm so thankful for Alanna's help, the manager their at the Seal Beach store. She went above and beyond to make things right for me. I couldn't be happier. And Dylan, the social media manager with Roger Dunn got the ball rolling. Very happy with the transaction and the way Alanna worked things out. Took the opportunity to check out the shop for a new driver. A great selection and a tremendous number of drivers to try and hit into the screen. Helpful workers and informative also. I came back after I had broke my graphite pitching wedge on the driving range lol Before that I had attempted to come while the manager was working and always missed her. Today I called and spoke with the manager and let her know the wedge I had bought recently broke after using it a few times. She told me to come in and she will take care of me. I hurried in because I was playing gold today this afternoon. When I came back I was greeted by everyone and Jon Mansell helped me every step of the way and gave the best service I had ever had in any retail environment. I thanked him many times for his time and he told me this was the service everyone should get. In the end I bought a whole set of used clubs and used my store credit from my pitching wedge as well. When I come back to upgrade my clubs, I only want John to help me. He is knowledgeable and knew what would be best for someone built like me and my swing type. I am football player/ body builder built guy. He said someone like me should use steel clubs. If only the first gentleman never let me walk out with a graphite club lol. I wouldn't had broke it. ‍. Not cool. I called ahead and asked how long it would take to get some new grips put on my clubs. The guy on the phone said it was fast. If they weren't busy 20 to 30 min. So I drive down there. Go to drop my clubs and the guy tells me Sunday afternoon. It's Friday before noon mind you. I have a tee time Sunday morning. I asked if end of day tomorrow would work? Nope. Sorry. I experienced absolutely superb customer service at Roger Dunn. My buddies got me into golf. After hacking around for a month with a set of clubs as old as I am, I decided to get fitted and sign up for a lesson. The way my life is structured, I can't "play" every day, so when I select a day to go "play," I have to get a lot done. I spent four hours in Roger Dunn. Four. Hours. Jennifer Candanoza measured and fitted me and set me up on the machine to hit irons and look at my stats. She's knowledgeable, friendly, funny and low pressure. Mike Bockstadter basically gave me a free lesson, and after getting me into some semblance of a normal grip and stance, worked with me through club after club after club until I found a set that fit my body and my budget. After we squared away woods and irons he went and scarfed down lunch while I played with putters. I was there that long. His congenial patience was, and is, much appreciated. His expertise and ability to impart it is sublime. They set me up with a full set at a fantastic price (yes, I checked comps on my phone during the whole odyssey), and then gave me a deal on top of that! Finally, Mike hooked me up with Paul Young for a golf lesson the next morning. I just finished a round after returning home, and knocked 12 strokes off. Several of my misses were long because of my inferior equipment and wretched mechanics before. I am still obviously a rank beginner, but it felt so good to hit an 8 iron over a green I was trying to reach with a 6 last week. Saturday April 6th I stopped in to hit some clubs to see how the technology has progressed. My present irons are 26 years old, so I wasn't sure what to expect. John Mansell, sales and resident club fitter spent over 2 hours introducing me to various club manufacturers, shaft types, etc. I got to hit all the clubs and see the results and stats of each swing. I am leaving this store for the last time. And it's too bad, most of the employees are dope, but the manager has put a very bad taste in my mouth with really awful service twice now. She acts as if she goes out of her way for everyone, but anytime she has done anything for me -- she has made me feel like I'm some sort of monster, trying to scam her or something. I have spent a bunch of money here. I don't get not making your customers happy. If they ask for something, help them out. This whole problem has begun because their return policy is actual garbage. You can only get store credit, if something is bought from the store. She acts as if it's made of gold, and it's the worst I've ever seen, and her holier than though attitude makes me want to throw up each time I have dealt with her. Try any other golf shop. read more

I bought a 52 degree wedge here a few months ago and was able to exchange it after 70 days or so (within the 90) and got another brand new club! Pretty convenient for me too right on 2nd Street and Seal Beach Blvd on my way to and from work! Every time I visit everyone is so relaxed, welcoming and friendly; no pretense or pressure, and no "bruh, I'm just working here until I get my PGA tour card" attitude that's so common at other golf shops. Go see Jennifer Candadoza; she's super knowledgeable and will go out of her way to make sure you both get the golf stuff you want, and most importantly, what's best for your skill level and swing. I've seen her interact with all types of customers, from new golfers and seniors, to Karens and "this shaft is too whippy for my 130mph SS" types and I'm always impressed by how calm, helpful and professional she is. Just old-fashioned people skills and good customer service, which is why she's always the first person I go see. Had some issues in the past with equipment and returns, and the manager Dean (Dene? It was my second visit and both times were great! Jennifer assisted me both times. First time I browsed but didn't buy anything but had returned and asked for Jennifer again (it was an easy name for me to remember). The clubs I wanted were no longer there but that was a blessing in disguise because I ended up with a much better set! The women's XXIO whole set in white. (Totally worth it) After I had picked the set of clubs I wanted they held it up front for me. Jennifer stayed with me the whole time suggesting the best of what I needed, which was pretty much everything lol. She definitely made my whole experience that much better. As I was picking things out she held it for me and took it to the register so I wouldn't have to carry anything while I shopped around. The only thing I didn't like was the choice in clothes but that's just me, I like it a little more "sexier" LOL but the clothes were nice and soft and looked like it was great quality! The Manager (Asian gentleman) (sorry did not catch the name) took care of a few items for me, which I GREATLY appreciated! I had a fantastic experience on 4/5/2021 morning with the clubfitter. I had interest in irons and was browsing the used sets for an x flex set and the sales person mid 50s guy that was currently fitting someone hoped away for a second and grabbed me a set of mizuno irons and then seamlessly returned to his primary fitting customer. He occasionally glanced my direction and obviously admired the majestic move that I make into the ball (jk). He noticed something and quickly brought my demo iron to the builder/repair guy and they bent it back to standard. Immediate results. If you aren't super experienced, their salespeople will give you plenty of time without pressure. Hi There. It was an uneasy and unpleasant to be a customer in your store. We went in there to spend almost $450 buy golf apparels for a gift and made some friendly jokes to your employees but they were unfriendly and rude. Not only that, they also over charged us almost over $80. When we realized this, he ignored us and just kept swinging a club behind the counter. They acted like the pro-golfers, dressed look alike one but actually a bunch of maroons work for a few bucks more then minimum wage. He checked our bag when I raised my voice and asked us where the other item was. We'd barely taken a couple steps away from the counter, and he was questioning us about a missing item. Finally he said, "I don't know why I charged it twice." He was extremely rude and impolite, let us standing there watching him walk back to pick up a golf club and said nothing even an apology or sorry. He ignored us again. Is this was the way you trained your employees to treat the customers? I advise retraining your employees on how to properly work with customers, how to treat customers equally regarded what color or race they are if they have money to buy your merchandises. read more

I recently bought a used Bertha 460 at Roger Dunn and was really happy with the purchase. I took my time and hit over a dozen drivers on the practice tees. The staff was patient with me while I dragged clubs over there continuously. The 460 ended up feeling the best, so I bought it for about $125 plus tax. A good price. Just remember to you all golfers, no matter how great your equipment is it doesnt matter unless you actually take time to practice. The guys and gals at Roger Dunn are amazing at what they do however they cant turn water into wine nor change your game in one day giving you a new driver to hit. the most important piece of equipment that you play and buy is the golf ball. Irons haver been the same forever, Drivers are all the same now, and putters are all different and look and feel means more than the brand. Again though it means nothing if you don't practice, a scotty putter is the same as a goodwill putter if you practice with it.
