I ended up going to and urgent care because by the time I realized about their mistake all the clinics were close. The very next day I went to the UMC clinic at Shadow Lane and they would not give me the PEP because I didn't have insurance. Then I remembered AHF and went there. They tested me, gave me access to their doctor, and the doctor prescribed me the PEP right away. Save your time and come to this place right from the beginning, I highly recommend it. All my experiences at AHF have been nothing but positive ones.

I had a clinician in my home within 4 hours of calling, and she was also thorough, kind, and candid in her assessment. I loved that a technician traveled with her so she didn't have to chart, and she could focus on putting my strange symptoms together, make an accurate diagnosis, and arrange a series of medications to be called in directly to my pharmacy. The best part? The visit was more affordable than urgent care under my insurance plan, and I got to be treated in my home. I considered not posting this review, because I don't want too many people to know about Doctoroo, but my experience was too great to stay quiet. I will definitely be reaching out again in the future (but, hopefully, I won't have to too soon.)

I never met or spoke with Dr. Arlene Rillo at that time, and for the next year and a half, all of my care was handled by the nurse practitioner. Throughout that period, I frequently had to follow up regarding medications, referrals, and other healthcare needs. Communication with the office was consistently difficult. Calls often went directly to voicemail, and it regularly took several days to receive a return call--if one came at all. On one occasion, after nearly a week of trying to reach the office by phone, I had to go there in person just to address an issue. Even then, I was given assurances that were never followed through on. Recently, I scheduled an appointment for a medication review and a new referral, which was the first time I actually met Dr. Arlene Rillo. Unfortunately, the interaction was very disappointing. I found her communication style to be dismissive and confrontational. Whenever I attempted to explain information or recommendations I had received from other physicians, I was repeatedly interrupted before I could finish speaking. I did not feel heard, respected, or included in the discussion about my own healthcare. My overall experience with this practice has been frustrating. Between the ongoing communication issues, difficulty obtaining timely follow-up, and my interaction with Dr. Arlene Rillo I did not feel that I received the level of care or professionalism I expected. Based on my experience, I would recommend considering other providers if you value responsive communication, respectful interactions, and collaborative patient care.

I had seen her in person and asked if she could help me find a better physical therapist because ATI where she sent me wasn't working. After 6 session with them at $150 each session; I felt worse. She wrote it down that she would help me find someone. She also was supposed to fill out disability paperwork for me as we discussed that meeting. Lastly, she said she would get my results from the urologist that charged me $400 & didn't send over the results. I felt so happy & listened to after seeing her in person. This is Friday. Monday comes and goes. I call to ask if there's any update on the physical therapist. No answer - i left a message. I called for two weeks straight & nobody returned my call or contacted me back. I left 10 messages. Finally they answered and said that they needed to call me back. It's been about 14 days and I'm in so much pain because I haven't seen a physical therapist. I find my own since I can't wait any longer. I need Michelle to send a referral. I call for the referral & She told me I wasn't doing what she wanted so she never sent over the paperwork they were requesting and that I needed to do the X-ray & when I asked which X-ray? I have never been told to do an X-ray as I did the MRI. She said she would call me back. They called to say she had sent over the paperwork i was requesting. She just never responded to that question about the X-ray & said she would be sending the paperwork that the disability specialist. This is after 3 weeks now. She just never brought up the X-ray again; I think she was completely confusing me with something else. They attempted twice now to request the information from her. In 30 days she has not responded. I found my own physical therapist & I've been going since but I need to find another doctor because I have no faith in this place anymore. Sorry if anyone ended up having a bad experience as well.
