Last night, I came in to the same place because of the care I received before and the equipment I do know that they have. The doctor on shift the first time was a middle eastern male who listened and I wasn't disappointed with. The last recent trip was a brunette female who did not understand why I needed thorough diagnostic for what I was describing. Pulses of inflammation and nerve issues in connection with an allergic response. Instead of doing an ultrasound for visual, physical check/inspection, blood draw or any other type of way doing a diagnosis. She just didn't take what I was saying seriously and disregarded it as not a big deal. She also lied and told me they did not have an ultrasound imaging device in house. Ongoing inflammation could lead to a cancer if not stopped or irreversible ovarian damage and my uterus being removed. That's a worst case scenario but possible especially with lack of medical attention. Hence why I chose an emergency room.... I'm an insured patient through United and not state medical so it's concerning why there would be any hiccups in proper care. My urgent care copay is $50 and I was not even asked for copay which seemed odd unless they bill insurance first.

I ended up going to and urgent care because by the time I realized about their mistake all the clinics were close. The very next day I went to the UMC clinic at Shadow Lane and they would not give me the PEP because I didn't have insurance. Then I remembered AHF and went there. They tested me, gave me access to their doctor, and the doctor prescribed me the PEP right away. Save your time and come to this place right from the beginning, I highly recommend it. All my experiences at AHF have been nothing but positive ones.

The dental clinic here is OK for cleanings and deep cleanings. I don't think I will ever have any…read moredental care other than that done here again. I know the union's idea was to save money by operating their own clinics but, come on, they have to have competent people that can do a basic filling. My filling took an abnormally long period of time. Even the dental assistant agreed that it was an extremely long time. I think that the dentist was not that experienced in what he was doing. He constantly kept going back-and-forth while saying hmmmm to himself. He seemed to be constantly correcting the work that he did seconds earlier. Also at one point both of them just left the room for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, I had that suction thing and the thing that forces your mouth open left in my mouth while I'm laying there for 10 minutes. Neither of them said anything. Just left. Apparently he went to do somebody else's exam because it was taking so long to do my filling. He didn't want the other people to wait but he was more than happy to have me wait, even though I had an earlier appointment time, and I was in the middle of a procedure. I had to remove some kind of mini douche bag from my mouth and throw it up on the exam table, and take the water sucking thing out of my own mouth and ask where somebody was. Then at the end, he said something about having to possibly do a crown because he didn't know if he did the filling properly! This is the first time I've left the dentist with bleeding gums too. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to go to another dentist to have fixed whatever they did. I've never left a filling appointment with this weird feeling like there's something stuck underneath my tooth. While at the same time feeling like there's some material that was not pinched into where it's supposed to go properly. I can flap a little piece with my tongue. To be honest, I wonder if this gentleman was actually a dentist. The appointment system here is ridiculous. As I'm checking out, she says I need to do a deep cleaning. Our appointment book doesn't open up until Wednesday so go ahead and give us a call on Wednesday to schedule it. Today is Monday and I'm here at your office. Why can't I schedule an appointment? They have some weird two weeks out booking system. I would say 30% of the time when you call or check in you're met with rudeness from the ladies. I'm going back to Evergreen Dental if they still accept Culinary. Sorry I ever left. Just thought this new place would be convenient.

The facility itself is really nice and clean, and parking is always easy, which I really appreciate. They also offer walk-in visits that they call "convenience care," which is kind of like urgent care. I actually like that because I get sick pretty often, and it's helpful not having to wait weeks for a regular appointment. The front desk when you first walk in is usually friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, I can't say the same for the staff at the convenience care check-in, primary care, or imaging. Every time I've had to speak with someone at that desk, they've been short, unwelcoming, or just flat-out rude. It really feels like they don't want to be there or deal with patients. I think they could really benefit from some customer service training or extra support to help them handle patients with more compassion. That part of the experience has consistently been disappointing Id give that area 2 out of 5 As for vision, I'd say 3 out of 5. The exam itself was fine, but they push upgrades really hard. It felt more like a timeshare presentation than a medical visit. I only needed glasses with anti-glare for night driving, but they convinced me to get blue light blocking too, which I later realized made harder to drive at night! I had to come back in and have the coating removed, and I waited nearly a month for a refund check, yes a check like it's 2011. It was frustrating and made the whole process more complicated than it needed to be. The pharmacy is okay I'd give it a 4 out of 5. They're usually pretty fast and helpful, but they often don't carry the medication I need, which means I have to go to Walgreens or somewhere else. I wish they had more medication options on hand, just for convenience. Overall, it's a decent facility with a lot of potential, and I do like having access to walk-in care, but the customer service, especially in certain departments. really needs work.
