Pipes were busted by tree service guys then also when they dug around the area they provided preventative maintenance and avoided some major issues with one of the giant roots from my 1962? trees. The root they took out was as big as my arm and could have caused damage if it would have grown on the other side of the front lawn. They did lots of work, not only with the error/damage repair but preventive maintenance in other areas of the yard. Including fixing some valves for the back lot real grass yard. NOT HONEST! I'm realky bummed to leave a bad review, cause for what they did - they did a good job... However the job wasn't completed! I paid a $300 more to them.then two other bids because I wanted it done a little sooner and they were available 5 days sooner, plus I thought the man that came and bid it seemed nice. I paid $1,100 cash for what we spoke about in person that we were needing and they didn't do all the work and left all the rock where it was supposed to be moved to the other side of the patio .. and when I questioned it, I was told they didn't include that as it was too much work and I could pay them to do that if they come back for the second part or the project I said I wanted them to price out for me (we have four stages for this project and I had hoped they'd do them all for me as I would have preferred to give the work to one company). Of course now I would never hire them again after this. I tried to remind them about our in person conversation and was simply told it wasn't gonna happen now as that's to much work they didn't plan for. Being an older woman, and alone with my grandson I felt I had no choice but to pay them , as I felt it was best to just have them leave my property then stand my ground on what I know was right! At the very least he should've reduced the price and given me some cash back as he knew he didn't do the whole job and that I had told him I had lower offers and also that he didn't finish as promised. All in all- lesson learned to double check before it's started that it's been made clear what they're doing! This was a costly mistake that I've now had to pay someone else to take care of! Roger and the 2 men he brought out did an awesome job doing some demo in my backyard before a pool/spa build. I don't think I could be more impressed with how fast they got the job done and their attention to detail. They even went as far as to sweep my patio of debris and hose off the street in front of my home that they got a small amount of dirt on. Pricing was reasonable compared to other bids I gathered. If I had one negative thing to say it's that one of the workers spoke almost no English so he wasn't easy to communicate with without help from one of the other 2 guys working, but he was incredibly hard working. I contacted this company this morning for an emergency irrigation problem. One of our neighbors rang our doorbell before 6am to tell us water was pouring out of our landscape and down the street. After some digging we found a split irrigation pipe under the sidewalk and one of the valves was stuck on. Roger answered the phone and agreed to fit us into the schedule today. He called when he was 20 mins away and showed up right on time. He and his co-worker had the problem fixed in no time and was very reasonably priced. I always worry when there's an emergency that companies will take advantage of that and charge you excessively. We've used Roger's Landscaping twice. The first was to remove some nasty rosemary bushes and replace them with lantanas. The second was when we had some plumbing work done that required our front yard to be dug up. The plumbing company left our yard a mess and we used Roger's again. Roger's cleaned up the bulky earth rocks that were dug up and left in our yard, fixed a couple irrigation lines and dropped 2 tons of matching rock onto our yard. For both jobs they were there on time, they did great work and were very easy to work with, and did both jobs at very reasonable prices. We will definitely use them again. read more
