Solo diner trying to find a bite to eat and stumbled upon this place. I'm so glad the restaurant I walked into before was too busy. (This place is busy too! Make a reservation!) This little bistro in Snohomish is great! I ordered a Caesar Salad and a house made Shrimp Pasta dish. Both were delicious! The Caesar salad I will say was very impractical. I didn't know if I should cut it with a knife or eat it like a taco. After trying to cut it and stab the thin lettuce with my fork which I failed miserably at a few times, I decided to throw away all dignity and pick it up hahaha. It was very good but I had a hard time coming to terms with struggling over a $10 side salad. As for the pasta dish, I was surprised at how good this was. HUGE, properly cleaned, perfectly cooked shrimp. A good amount of them too. Cut into 3 smaller pieces each, it was the perfect ratio to the pasta. Didn't run out of one before the other. The pasta was delicious the sauce was creamy and the flavor was epic! I had the most wonderful older woman as my server. Not sure if she was an owner or host but she wasn't a waitress (she didn't have on the same dress code as the younger girls) She was kind and reliable and came at the perfect moments. I think we found our new "go to" spot in Snohomish. Not just the city of Snohomish, but Snohomish County and beyond. I have nothing negative to say about Roger's. The food, service and ambiance is not only great, but consistently great. Their cocktails, spot on, wine list, just right, and food, simply perfect. Good luck deciding between the short rib special and their fantastic house made pasta. Their French onion soup and arugula salad with walnuts, beets and burrata are always a great starter. There portions are generous and if you can please finish off with one of their delectable deserts and you'll have yourself a perfect night. We will always be back! read more

It's unfortunate that I have to leave this review; but after planning a nice evening for my wife's birthday (made reservations two weeks in advance), and being seated, we realized none of the staff (servers nor kitchen) were wearing masks. My wife is 8.5 months pregnant and understandably is concerned with safety as the Omicron variant caseloads are high right now. We made the decision to leave. We informed the server and hostess of our decision to leave, and why, and the server (male, he was possibly the owner or manager) rolled his eyes and turned around. We had been really looking forward to dining at Roger's as it would have been our first time since February 2020. The clams are amazing and we had a wonderful experience our last time there. Later in the evening I did some deeper digging into Yelp reviews and several others have mentioned Roger's flippant attitude to following COVID guidelines. It would have been nice to know of this before making reservations - I simply would have avoided the restaurant. When a business decides what regulations/rules to follow, it makes you wonder about their operations. For example, the Snohomish Health District has a lengthy list of guidelines a restaurant must follow regarding food safety and others to keep their patrons and staff safe. Does Roger('s) choose which of these he thinks are appropriate and which are not? It is interesting that Roger's received $104,227 in COVID-relief (PPP) funds that have been fully forgiven (they didn't seem to have an issue with that!), yet now seems to have a "policy" to not follow simple masking guidelines (that all businesses are required to follow) to make patrons feel comfortable and keep their staff safe. I really really really want to give this place 5 stars but I cannot. I called ahead to make reservations and when I arrived I was seated without any option by the front door. That is totally okay with me, but somehow the majority of wait staff managed to walk by us and not get us our drinks or anything promptly. I did get a later reservation, but seating us by the door and then proceeding to eat/ drink/ set food beside us when we are having a personal date is borderline rude. The food was frickin incredible. Loved it, but the staff and their awareness absolutely destroyed my romantic and relaxing evening. Spent a lot of time pretending I didn't see staff setting their stuff by us or simply sitting down by us to break before leaving minutes later. My husband and I were seated on the deck despite requesting to sit inside. The deck is small and it is difficult to have an intimate dinner as they seat large groups there as well. Downtown Snohomish has really become a dining destination. Our visit to Roger's was spur of the moment, and quite successful. We were seated immediately in this smallish cafe. The service was as good as it gets in the region. The menu was not too large, but plenty of good choices, including some nice "specials", which we both chose from. We started with sublime clams in a white wine sauce. Absolutely excellent! I had a very good piece of halibut seasoned and cooked darn near perfectly. My wife had east coast scallops, superbly done. The accompanying locally grown vegetables were well prepared, and delicious. This chef knows how to buy, prepare & season food that compliments each other well. Throughout the service, the wait staff was attentive, not intrusive. They made us feel welcome, and that they appreciated our being there. We came here on a whim. Literally just walked by and decided we'd have dinner before heading back to our AirBnB. First off, we're grateful and appreciative of the welcoming service despite the fact that they were about to close in about 25 minutes. I'm so glad we came. Our family of four left completely happy and satisfied. Our waitress was also super kind and sparked up a great convo about some hikes we can try out in Golden Bar (we're visiting from Los Angeles and simply staying here in Snohomish for 2 days before we head out to the woods) The food. Outstanding. I had the special for the day "halibut" and it was incredible. Such a simple plate but full of flavor, fresh, perfectly portioned and cooked perfectly . The cauliflower was ridiculously good and my mashed potatoes paired perfectly with my Halibut . My wife loved her Arugula salad and "Cold Soup" (that was a first for us and we loved it!) My kids enjoyed their orders along with the drawing sheets and crayons they always like to have fun with. Overall Excellent and unforgettable dining experience. We decided to have dinner at Rogers tonight we arrived early because it can fill up fast and we didn't have reservations. We had dinned in the bar before and had a great dinner so we decided to do that again. Turned out that the bartender that we had serve us before was working tonight we were in good hands. Once we were seated we were able to order a drink to get started along with some appetizers, my wife got their salad while I went with my favorite " Rogers clams" man they are so good. We got around to ordering our mains my wife Nancy went with her favorite the chicken cordon blu, and I chose the halibut. There was a nice pace to how the dinner went, Laren, our bartender was in charge of the bar taking care of the rest of the restaurant's drinks along with making sure we were taken care of as our dinner progressed. We've been coming here for years and the quality of the food and the service provided by the staff is always top notch. Again my halibut was moist and flaky, I got a couple of bites of the chicken and it was delicious as well. After a day strolling 1st Ave in Snohomish, a friend & I stopped for a bite at Roger's Riverview Bistro. The pluses? Nice deck over looking the river. The food was so-so. My friend ordered the burger which came with the kind of bun you see at kids' cookouts. The accompanying caesar was odd-- a few romaine leaves covered with goopy cheese. My clams were tasty -- although having lived on the east coast I'm always surprised at how small west coast clams are. The toast points looked like they'd been assembled by someone's children. Our waitress forgot my glass of wine and disappeared mid-meal. The woman who seated us actually stepped in and helped to get the meal back on track. When our original server returned she served up an indignity that many women my age experience with servers. Yep. Called me, "honey." Please stop calling older women "honey"; it's demeaning. read more

After reading so many positive reviews on this place I was really hoping for better... My husband and I came here for our after wedding celebration dinner (7/1/22) and it was a complete disaster. We began by ordering the fondue... I mean what could go wrong? Just a cheese sauce and bread...right? Our party of 8 ordered two, just to make sure there was plenty to go around. We receive our app and dig right in and immediately notice something was off. Our cheese sauce was tangy and the bread was stale and bitter. Upon closer examination we discover the reason... both plates of bread were covered in white and blue mold! We immediately felt uneasy and alerted our waiter who in return took the bread off the table and went to the kitchen to get us new bread. The waiter returns after a few minutes and lets us now that he personally checked and cut the bread and that there was no mold. (Oops! We believed it!) a few bites in and we spot mold on the bread once again. At this point we are completely turned off from the fondue and just want the app removed from our table. Instead the waiter insists on getting us ANOTHER round of bread despite us asking to have the app removed from the table. And you won't believe it, the third round of bread was moldy too! All while this is going on I was getting increasingly worried about the other tables around us that were also eating the same fondue and bread as us. That's unsettling to know that if there was a food quality issue (esp. mold) that the restaurant wouldn't be pulling that item from all tables to avoid illness. What if someone had a severe mold allegedly and ate this bread? (Yikes) My husband ordered the burger (well done) and received a small charred patty on a large burnt hamburger bun with the "famous" mashed potatoes that resembled melted ice cream. Definitely disappointing for a burger that was around $20... I had the roasted salmon which came with the mashed potatoes and asparagus. The flavor of the salmon was nice, but the amount of sharp bones I found in that salmon was dangerous, one even stabbed the roof of my mouth and left me in quite a bit of discomfort for a couple days after. As for the rest of my wedding party they were less than impressed by their runny mashed potatoes, burnt burgers, bones in the salmon, fatty duck, and my grandmother in law's practically puréed pulled pork sandwich that was immediately sent back after a single bite. We were all so defeated after dealing with our appetizers we didn't even bother trying to flag down our waiter to send everything back as they very outwardly appeared frazzled and busy with other tables. Another observation was the tables around us having similar complaints and frustrations with the quality and preparation of the food. Not sure if it was a bad night or not, but I'm not exactly willing to give this one another go...this dinner was so comically terrible that my husband and I will never forget our nearly $400 wedding dinner and neither will our wedding party. read more

These guys were not bad. The cocktail of the day was a strawberry rhubarb concoction- refreshing, but more of a strawberry lemonade, couldn't taste any rhubarb. The goat cheese toast points were interesting, but I think the sharpness of the goat cheese would have been highlighted better with a balsamic glaze rather than a vinaigrette. The french onion soup was alright, the Roger's clams boasted a basil leek cream sauce, which was decent but I couldn't taste basil or leek. My guy got the roast beef and mash, which he really liked.
