Chef here. Dry. Very dry. Overcooked Italian sausage. Crumbled upon slicing. Not sure why one would slice little marks into a sausage; that draws the fat out. The pulled pork was the same; very dry; straw-like texture. Slightly redeeming was the coleslaw. The pickled egg was not overcooked but it definitely had a hard firm texture. Not a fan. The food was so bad that I couldn't eat it. Truly, truly b-a-d. I ordered ribs. They were very dry. My husband ordered brisket; it was very dry. We both ordered the apple slaw as our sides. It tasted like it had taco seasoning in it, which was quite strange. Neither of us cared for it and neither of us ate it. My husband ordered the macaroni and cheese, which he said was simply terrible. I ordered dill pickles. I didn't know that it was possible to make dill pickles taste bad but these folks managed to do it. I would have to say, based on our experience this evening, that these folks don't know how to smoke, barbecue, or cook good food. This was some of the worst I've ever had in Medford, which is not renowned for its exquisite cuisine. NEVER again. read more

I have wanted to try this close-by neighborhood food truck for Bar B Que..located in the lot of a local winery. I .especially wanted to try their sausage and their selection.of sauces. Poor selection of sausages. Italian and spicy something..not even a Texas Red Hot or any variety of German to be found. Italian sausage.:.plump, dry, flavorless.. Side of baked beans: mushy paste of beans , dry, NO FLAVOR OTHER THAN MEH KIDNEY BEANS SAUCES ..ONE REGULAR. ONE SPICY. AGAIN NO FLAVOR, NO HEAT OR ZIP. I carried out and tried at home...fortunately I did not have them.hovering for an approval.that would never come. Food - Tried a variety of items. The pulled pork and brisket were tender and really flavorful. Delicious sauce and smoked meats. Mac & beans were excellent sides. Got takeout OMG. Huge box of meat for the 2 meat platter, plus good sized side of slaw. Got the ribs and brisket both excellent although the ribs are as close to perfect as it gets. Slaw is good but spicy at times. Like the no plastic approach which can be hard with que, but the box stayed together. They sometimes have potato skins and if they do, get them. I would eat here every night but then I am a huge carnivore. read more

We just move to this area from Texas. That being said, it is very hard to even compare. as far as quality, the ribs were hard, dry and way overcooked. The Burger was good at best. The pulledpork was very watery and tastes more like under seasoned stewed meat. The beef jerky sample we got tasted like it had been in a refrigerator for a while. Mac & Cheese was very good. Coleslaw was unique and surprisingly pleasant. Food was way over priced for what it was. Staff was very friendly. read more

I'll start by saying I've lived in both North Carolina and Texas where bbq is very different. Roguish Smokers isn't either one, and they're ok. Don't order the veggie kabob, whatever they put on there that looks kind of like a potato, may be a radish, I'm still not sure, but they were inedible, just just like the nearly raw Brussels sprouts. The slaw, however, was delicious. The sauce for my pulled pork was supposed to be spicy. It was not. While I do like Roxy Ann for their live music, I'll eat before I come next time. read more

Had a great couple of sandwiches today from this awesome truck! The spicy sausage was exactly what was promised....good spice, great snap on the skin. Pulled pork sandwich was juicy as heck and by the end....the bread had melded with the pork to create something otherworldy... Lastly...the beans tasted like the BBQ version of Mexican refried beans without being blended up. Raider was a cool guy and I wish him the best! read more

Had never picked up food from them, but saw four stars and thought I would give them a try. Not sure if it was a "one off," but I would have to say it was the worst barbecue I've ever had and my wife agreed. It was a Sunday evening, so maybe we got the leftovers from the week, but the beans had that faint burnt taste, the Mac and cheese was a tasteless blob, sticky and not creamy, and the ribs were flavorless. They would have been better off closing early rather than serving that lot. I'm sure that can't be their regular quality because they would have been out of business long ago, but I'm not inclined to go back and spend good money to find out. read more

I hate to say it, but this is the worst bbq I have ever had. The ribs and brisket are tender, but the flavor/aroma is... not pleasant, and borderline inedible. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I think a heavy hand with liquid smoke may be the problem? The italian sausage seasoning is not what I expected, definitely not the same flavor profile as store bought. The sausage was nice and thick, though. The macaroni is very soft and bland. The cole slaw is really good- crisp & fresh. Portions are fairly small and the prices are high. I do not recommend Rouge Ish Smokers. read more

If you want incredible BBQ you have to give this place a try. First, the owner was incredibly friendly and knew her BBQ. We ordered the ribs and the meat fell off the bones. , delicious! The brisket is right up there with some of the best BBQ restaurants out there, very moist and perfect texture. If you are ever at Roxy Ann Winery, pair this BBQ with their Rosé for your taste buds to dance. I love BBQ. So, when I saw this food cart at Roxy Ann, I had to give it a try one day. I took my parents, as they enjoy good BBQ, and this wasn't it, unfortunately. We all got the same thing brisket sandwich with coleslaw on it, and a side of beans. They must of been at the bottom of the pot for beans, because all we got was bean soup with very little beans, not even enough beans for one spoonful. I would've been embarrassed to serve something like that. The brisket, well, I've had better. It had no smokey flavor, and the coleslaw I did not care for. I like an old fashioned creamy coleslaw on a brisket or pulled pork sandwich, but this was not it. I would go back and try something else. Hopefully, it will be better. read more
