Brisket

I was silly to think a knife was needed in the utensil pack because the brisket was so tender! Delicious all around! I ordered the spicy brisket plate with beans and potato salad. It was a great combination. Then I tasted one of the burnt ends, and oh my gosh that was good, perfect smoke flavor! Sorry to see the meal gone and will go back again soon!

Came to Grants Pass Oregon to visit friends and stopped here at Leo's on the side of Rogue River Hwy, since our Airbnb was down the way... Was not disappointed! Ordered a full slab of ribs and half a pound of brisket and some sides. Absolutely delicious! Ribs were full of flavor could taste the smokiness of not sure if it was mesquite maybe hickory but whatever he uses did it! Brisket was a perfect mixture of fatty and lean pieces. A definite must try if you're out this way and want some tasty bbq and great service!

We ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and tri-tip sandwich with a side of baked beans. Both were incredible!

Picked this spot for lunch after a long morning hiking and exploring. I always love an order at the…read morecounter and pay before sitting style of dining. The cashier was nice and had good energy. I ordered a burger and my husband got the spicy chicken sandwich. The burger was pretty good, just a standard smash patty with a potato bun. The fries were pretty good as well. I will say the house made ranch was a little bland. The chicken sandwich was good as well. Nice crisp to the patty and good spice.

There's a cool wood-fired oven for pizza, which was a fun process to watch. I ordered the patty melt, which is something I never order, but I was in a rush to decide & did one of those, "I'll have what he's having" things when my husband ordered his patty melt. We're big seltzer water people, so when we went to order a seltzer and the lady told us it was free and self-serve, I was elated. The food didn't take very long & it was tasty looking! The sandwich was cut in half with smashed burger meat overflowing past the bread. It was glorious. The part of the plate that wasn't dominated by melty goodness was filled with with well-seasoned and crisp homemade fries. I could smell how delicious everything was the moment the moment the plate was set down in front of me. Flavor & texture of all the things exceeded expectations. The patty melt had layers of crispy fried onions that made for a lovely and tasty first-bite surprise, & continued to bring joy with each subsequent bite. Every there was incredibly nice and friendly. Dining there was so easy and lovely. Would love to come back the next time we pass through!

After a fruitless trip for brunch at another eatery across town that for some reason was closed on…read morea Friday at 12:55pm, I got online to scout-out another place where we could get breakfast and lunch faire. Yes!!! This place (Sweet Tea Express) we'd had a favorable lunch experience many months ago and I wasn't aware they also served breakfast. So here we went, and it's much closer to our house than the other one is anyways. This place has the BEST country gravy out of anywhere else I've tried in Grants Pass. I was so into my sausage patty with egg and hash-browns plate ( I added country gravy) that I forgot to take a picture; but my wife had a delicious Cobb Salad w/ Grilled Chicken (pic included), and our friend had biscuits & gravy with Eggs & Sausage (also pictured). Oh my STARS these are the kinds of breakfasts that one hopes to find, and are SO delicious!!!! Our server, Danielle, was a blessing and it was her first day on the job today (she told us)...and she did an amazing job. Very attentive & cordial. (Thank you) The ambiance was very relaxed, the establishment is clean as a whistle, and many locals were here enjoying their meals. Oh yes. Also a shout out to the Chef and the other nice lady behind the counter. You folks are all top-shelf and have a great product. Can't wait to see you all again!

Their country biscuit + gravy plate is a great value, too. The ribs are delicious, as well. The only side I really love is their coleslaw. The baked beans are an acquired taste. They're way more vinegar/mustard forward than sweet (Carolina-style, I guess). The potato & the mac salads are very pepper-forward. I like black pepper, but the couple of times I've had their potato & mac salad it was a bit too heavy on the black pepper, for me. All in all a solid, local establishment. The food is consistently delicious.
