They were prompt, courteous, and most importantly to us; promising that we'd have a stellar yard when they were done with it. That was in Sept of 2013. As of mid-April, they have delivered on their word. From killing all vegetation in September to now, the change is dramatic, the grass came in like they said it would, and they've been out twice this spring to reseed small patches and fill in where seed was either washed away by fall rain, or maybe eaten by birds. It's not even finished filling in, and we already have the best yard in the neighborhood. I can't say enough good things about them. They told us they were by no means the cheapest guys in town, but pride themselves on being the best. We only bid the job to 2 other companies recommended by the BBB, but neither was as prompt or detailed regarding the quote we asked to have prepared. This truly is a case where we're getting what we paid for; High quality and great customer service.

They will make excuses every step of the way, gaslight you on their issues, whine, complain, share details that are not necessary to be shared, write explicitly long emails and distribute to the ENTIRE customer email base on file-even if you are not having issues with them, they blame the internal staff for all sorts of issues and the internal staff then says that its the staff working in the field, they put words in your mouth and play the victim afterwards, cancel contracts early and then blame the customer, literally put their business costs in emails to customers and whine about all the business stuff that they have to handle/pay for so the customer will feel guilty for saying anything about their ethic/work, share extremely personal details of employees being sick on the job (OSHA should be contacted on this one!), discuss personal details of other clients and how they 'wronged' them and they were retaliating in some way towards them, the managers wanting you to send emails only to certain people within the office so that not everyone in the company is aware of what is going on, share details of events with personnel and the office, show up late or not at all then try to send you an invoice for the 'work', damage property, create unsafe environments after mowing, create issues with surrounding neighbors of the property, show up unannounced/unwarranted/without communication and will go through the neighbors property and sneak around your cameras in order to do a 'quality check'..... meaning they wanted to see if the client was lying about work that was not completed. I have had to pay for repairs caused by their workers on my property due to carelessness as they are trimming/blowing yard debris into HVAC units. If you say anything to the staff at all about missed lawn areas, no shows, damage on the property, etc they will 100% retaliate and cause more issues for you to deal with because they don't like what you had to say and literally demand 5 star reviews from customers. They will call you on holidays and harass you for hours while with your family to 'explain' yourself after they have sent a nasty email out to all customers and if you have anything to say in return to that email, even if that email had nothing to do with you to begin with but they will tell you how you are feeling about it regardless of what you are saying. They charge high fees for their work and their work is horrible. Then not trim bushes as previously discussed and then charge you higher fees due to the size of the bush because it was never trimmed as agreed. Its all a complete scam. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! It's just NOT worth the mental abuse/property abuse, turmoil, defending no work/crappy work, will make statements to you about not having witnesses to phone conversations because I was at home, actions and events on your own property even with camera footage/neighbor statements/complaints of things that they have done or was rude about. (They literally pulled up to my neighbor's driveway to the side of my cameras, pulled long ways (parallel)blocking her entire driveway, to access my property by going on theirs and being sneaky.) We all saw you and you are on camera!!! After scaring her by blocking her driveway and walking all over the properties because she did not know who/what they were there for (she thought that our houses were being cased due to the increase of break-ins/theft) because he did not bother to knock on the door, announce themselves, call/text on their special number that they supposedly set up to communicate better with their customers but do not use it, email, nothing to elude to who and why a person was trespassing on our properties. I reviewed my cameras and recognized the van and immediately called their office only to be told that nothing was going on at first to it was a 'quality check'. In which I replied, you can not quality check work that was NEVER done and you do not sneak around a clients property if you have nothing to hide. Needless to say all of the events with the company will warrant legal actions if any other retaliation continues. I also have Derek the manager that claims that he is handicapped and can not get around due to health issues, walking around just fine on video from my cameras. He claims that he can do no wrong because he has health issues. My fence is also not quite 3 feet tall and they step over all the time. He is on camera moving around just fine. Do NOT fall for the scam and the audacity of these clowns!

I had spoken with several other companies prior to them, but none were as helpful and timely as Tammy and Marty with Lawn Builders. They came out, measured my yard, answered my questions, and offered me an estimate slightly lower than other local companies. Their Facebook page offers pictures of their projects and made me feel like I was in good hands. Three weeks later I have a beautiful fescue lawn that makes my house look a million times better.
