Like every repair shop you'll ever work with you drop off for something specific and their job is to find work; more work means revenue. We all get that, but a difference here. They'll tell you what they found/saw and suggest that at some point in the not-too-distant future you'll want to remind them to look again. A soft-sell that works!! Kudos. I initially brought my vehicle to your service center due to a "Restricted Performance" warning light and noticeable shaking while driving. Despite having the car for over a week, the only test driving conducted was reportedly "around the block," and I was told the issue could not be replicated. Nevertheless, I was presented with a list of $6,600 in unrelated repairs, for which I paid $2,400 out of pocket after my insurance covered a portion. Shortly after retrieving the car, the same warning light came back on immediately, and the shaking persisted -- clearly indicating that the original issue had not been addressed at all. When I returned the vehicle, I was told the matter would be resolved, but instead, a second insurance claim was filed, and I was forced to pay an additional $200 deductible, even though the issue was the exact same one that prompted the original service visit. This appears to be a clear mishandling of the diagnostic process and possibly an abuse of the insurance claim system. This situation is unacceptable. At minimum, I am requesting the following: 1. A refund of the $200 deductible paid for the second claim, as the issue was never resolved from the first. 2. A thorough explanation of why the original problem was not properly addressed or diagnosed, despite the time the vehicle was in your possession. 3. Assurance that the vehicle will be repaired correctly without any further out-of-pocket expense on my part. 4. If not resolved satisfactorily, I will be filing a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (which handles auto repair disputes) and the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation for a possible insurance claim abuse investigation. I expect a timely and professional resolution. Please respond within 10 business days to avoid further escalation. This situation raises a few red flags: * Poor diagnostic procedure -- A quick drive around the block isn't enough for intermittent or performance-related issues, especially with modern vehicles. * Potential insurance mishandling -- Filing a second claim and requiring another deductible for the same issue sounds questionable, especially if it's a continuation of the first claim. * Lack of accountability -- They didn't take responsibility for failing to address the core issue in the first place.

I'm from out of state and my equipment was left behind so if I need someone else to do repairs that would be too cumbersome I want a place I could trust in the future. The alternator job was just a test, nothing wrong with my alternator. So you know the vehicle was not with me at that time. The first question I ask could they replace an alternator in my vehicle with the new one I purchased? his responded that Florida laws state that it is illegal for any service shop to perform repairs all items must be purchased exclusively by the shop and no work can be repaired with outside items. Not true, First lie. Check the status if you don't believe me. A shop can turn down work but it's not illegal. Second question, if the item was purchased through them how long would it take to install? His response is 4.5 hrs. So you know, to facilitate access to the alternator there is a face plate that must be removed. I told him I removed the face plate, which took all of 7 min. The actual job of replacing an alternator on a Boxster is easier than changing spark plugs. It is one of the simplest repairs to perform. It takes no more than 35 minutes to remove, It is only held in place by two bolts and 2 wires in the back. If one of the bolts is stuck it requires several light blows with a hammer to loosen which would add 5 minutes. Reinstall, and repeat the process in reverse. If this job was undertaken by the slowest mechanic in all of Naples with no Porsche knowledge they could do it in 2 hr and that is being extremely generous with the time allotment. So if you choose to use this repair shop you have been duly warned. Such a shame, I truly wanted to say good things and use the shop for the future, especially after reading other reviews. I don't know, maybe they do good work but you are paying an exorbitant amount. The search continues. Now to check with other shops hoping to have better luck. labor cost should not exceed 2 hrs not 4.5 hrs. This is a simple job. price for labor should be 220 to 250 ,no more.

When the car arrived, it had a portion of the underneath front bumper that had torn. I thought this may have happened during delivery but was shown pictures from the delivery person of this defect existing at the dealership before it was transported. I communicated this to the dealership and was completely blown off. After all the hype about BMW certification and that they go over every element of the vehicle, this obviously got missed but they would not honor taking care of the repair. I would not deal with this dealership again as this is not the proper way to do business.

I had no problem since I drove in without an appointment. As I was sitting in the waiting room, I noticed how nice and professional they handled their customers. Well after about an hour the nice lady working the front called my name and apologized for me having to wait an hour. That the tech working on my tire could not find a leak !!-- that the whole problem was found when he put the valve stem cap back on and that is when he heard air coming out !! I had a bad valve stem cap !!! She apologized again and said "no charge" !!! I gave her some "cross Pennie's" I made for her young family. She just had another baby girl about a year ago. Recently, I moved to Naples and was looking for a mechanic I could trust, and based on internet reviews, I decided to have them do a repair job that included adding two studs to a rotor that snapped off. The stud repair was completed, and pricing was roughly price 380, basically dealer cost. ok no problem so far. Next job, I ask them to check why the car was making a whooping sound while driving. After the initial investigation, they issued a work order that consists of 4 outstanding problems. Before having them check, I did some preliminary investigation on my own. Having a family auto business in New Jersey, I'm familiar with car issues. I want to know if they're an honest mechanic I can trust with my cars. The answer is NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!. After their evaluation, I took my car to another facility and paid to have them look at the issues noted in the central auto reports. With the understanding that I would also inspect my vehicle with them, which they agreed to. They were slow that day, so actually it was 3 of their mechanic and me under the lift going through the entire suspension system and evaluating the central auto diagnosis of car issues. 2 of the issues were legitimate, 2 were not. The 2 made-up issues to repair would have cost an additional $1036 to someone without my background in automotive. That's a lot of money that most people would have paid to have their car serviced there. I wish this review could have been positive, and I would have preferred not having to spend another 150 dollar to verify what I already knew. So my conclusion would be find someone else, keep your money in your pockets, not theirs. Richard

I arrived at 8:30 a.m. as scheduled and was told by an employee that the installer was running late. About 30 minutes later, I was told they would begin the installation anyway and calibrate the device later. After waiting until approximately 10:25 a.m., I was informed that the installer was not coming at all. I lost nearly two hours of my time and had to reschedule. My rescheduled appointment was on July 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Before leaving for the appointment, I called at approximately 8:19 a.m. to confirm that the installer was there and that arriving at 9:00 a.m. was appropriate. I was told everything was fine. Due to traffic, I arrived about 10 minutes late. After I arrived and began completing the paperwork with an employee, the owner entered the office. I greeted him, but he immediately became angry, raising his voice and stating that my appointment had been at 8:30 a.m. I explained that I had called that morning, confirmed the installer was present, and confirmed my arrival time of 9:00 a.m. The owner then asked whether I had a ride home. I said no because I had previously been told I needed to remain on-site to receive instructions. He then told me the installation would take all day, that my vehicle might not be ready until 5:00 p.m. or even the following day, and that it was a very complicated installation. When I mentioned that the installer had not shown up for my original July 2 appointment, he replied, "Yeah, that was me." Before I could continue, he began yelling at me, told me to "get the hell out" of his office, stated that he would not install the device, and continued shouting as I gathered my belongings to leave. During the exchange, the employee who had been helping me left the office. I felt intimidated and unsafe, so I left as quickly as I could. As I was leaving, the owner continued yelling additional unpleasant comments at me. I understand that schedules change and delays happen. However, there is no excuse for treating a customer this way. This experience was unprofessional, intimidating, and completely unacceptable. Because this is the closest Smart Start installer to where I live, I was disappointed that I was left without a nearby option. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision when choosing an ignition interlock installer.
