My first time at this location and my second time overall having roll em up. I like this place and I'm willing to give it a 3rd shot before I really call it quits. I love that you can choose the option for corn or flower tortillas. Flour all the way for sure!! The biggest mistake I made was putting all the sauce on top of the Taquitos and it made it soggy - which is my an ick of mine. The rice is ok, I can deal without it. Corn is always a good idea and the queso is a must !! I think shredded chicken and shredded beef is what they specialize in. Potato and ground beef are ok - wouldn't get those again. The place is clean and there are lots of seating options. I think all sauces that they put on the taquitos need to be on the side so it stays crispy out the fryer. I stopped by Roll Em Up Taquitos while in town for a cheerleading camp, and I'm so glad I did. The food was honestly really good. The taquitos are made fresh to order, and you can tell. I got half shredded beef and half chicken, and both were crispy, loaded with salsa, crema, and cheese -- I had to use a fork just to get a bite, and it was worth it. The beans were my favorite surprise. They were so good that I found myself dipping the taquitos in them just to get every flavor in one bite. The rice was solid too. The two young ladies working were super nice and helped me out since it was my first time there. It's next to some bigger, well-known spots, but I'd say it's definitely worth checking out. The last couple times we've come in, the taquitos have been mostly soggy. This time, I think I figured out what is contributing to the limp taquitos. Literally, they should not be bending toward the ground when you pick them up to take a bite. They haven't been this way in the past, just the last two times we've come in and it's saddening because I don't know that I'll come back again unless they fix this. Well, I could try one more time with only cheese on top the taquitos and other sauces strictly on the side. That'll cost the owner more money for the condiment cup that will be used for it. If that is what must happen in order for me to have a crispy taquito, then so be it. What I found out is that it looks like they are possibly watering down their sauces that go on top of the taquitos thus soaking into the tortilla and making what was once crispy, now soggy. I took a picture of how runny the sauces look now. Dear owner, if you're allowing this, it's not producing a good outcome, it's actually making your good product become inferior. Please stop allowing the sauces to be watered down or overly watery. This past time seemed a little weird. There were only two workers there & they who mostly stayed in the back. There was a sign on the front door that said to use the other door... And there was trashcan and other things that prevented use of the main door... I saw several people walk up to the door and then walk away... The owner needs to know that this is happening and he/she is losing money because someone has decided to not let the front door be used and put a makeshift handwritten sign saying to "use the other door" on the side. It wasn't windy so I don't understand why that door is not used... This isn't the first time they have blocked that door so I think maybe there's either a reason for it or maybe the employees don't wanna have to deal with a lot of traffic or the customers of their next door eatery mistakenly coming into Rollem Up Taquito and then leaving for their intended eatery. That's one way to reduce the traffic and thus profitability for the owner. Dear Owner, do you know this is happening? I will try one more time to test my theory. If that's it, then I'll probably still come but have to use more resources to hold the watery sauces on the side so that it doesn't soggy up a perfectly crisp taquito. If that doesn't work and the taquitos still come out, soggy, I'll lower the rating and won't return. read more

I gave them a four, the drink was totally flat and I ordered a regular and diet drink it wasn't marked, causing me to sip someone else's soda, my son has severe gluten allergy and the boxes weren't marked. Unfortunately my first time trying this chain was in another city and the experience was muuuch better We came during opening week I believe ?? Let's jump right in and start with the positives :) Here's what I liked: *The woman at the cash register had a bright smile and seemed to be in a good mood, so that's always a plus *Inside is vibrant *They have nachos! (They weren't available just yet but yea lol) *Music was nice *The fresh tea soo yummy! This is based on a take-out order, fulfilled through GrubHub. I ordered the 5 pack combo. I asked for beans and rice as the sides. I asked for all corn taquitos with potato, ground beef, chicken, shredded beef, and cheese. I went ahead and got cheese on them. Now, if I had paid attention better to the options, I probably would have had them put some salsa/sauce on top, with the cheese. But, I didn't, so I ate them plain. That allowed me to really get a taste for the fillings. The potato and cheese ones blew me away. Even as simple as those fillings are, they really shined. The shredded beef was also delicious. I wasn't impressed by the chicken or ground beef. To be honest I couldn't really tell them apart. The rice was tomato-forward, which I like. If I'm going to get a flavored pilaf-type rice, I want it to be highly flavored. This rice was highly flavored. Anyone who knows me knows that I judge a whole enterprise on their beans. Roll Em Up has some fantastic beans. For a fast food place, I was stunned at the flavor that they were able to get into those beans! There are pieces of meat and some peppers in there that really give flavor, but also texture. Now that I know the beans are good, I'll just order double beans next time. Knowing where this location is, I probably won't go there because it is in an area that isn't easy to access, but the delivery option will work. The taquitos withstood the ride to my house. I'm not sure what reggae has to do with taquitos, but I went to college, so it's cool. One star for service: pleasant, quick, and unobtrusive. One star for the food: in short, excellent. Come for the taquitos; stay for the rice and beans; they put Popeye's version in the shade by far. And finally, no star for pricing. With compulsory tip, ‍ four taquitos (which are very tasty) the aforementioned R&B, and a drink, the tab was just shy of $18. That seems like a lot, when for that money, you get half a delicious chicken at Popeye's, a first rate biscuit, and a side. I ordered the two pack of taquitos (1flour, 1 corn) with my guac and sour cream on top, along with rice and beans. I was so disappointed. My rice and beans were only filled 1/2 way. My taquitos look like they flew off my seat after I slammed on the brakes. Presentation was definitely not to be desired. Food was mediocre. This is a great new place to grab a delicious meal! It's near Chick-fil-A across from Sam's Club. We ordered a combination of flour and corn taquitos... Which were all delicious! The old-school Mexican style corn was incredible as well. The place inside is really cool... The decor is very hip and fun. Love the slogan, "peace, love, and taquitos". First time, been wanting to try for a long time. Ala carte cheese and ground beef taquitos were really good, but I preferred the cheese. I wasn't asked about corn vs flour tortillas and I wouldn't have thought about it, except for my receipt said corn. The funny part is that my taquitos came out made with flour tortillas. At any rate they were delicious. The chips and Queso were also really good. The Mexican corn was the only loser. Very bland and mushy and the "butter" had a chemical taste to me. I saw an add for the upcoming opening Roll Em' Up as I was excited to have a Taquito specific food place close by. I liked the menu and what they had to offer. Positive feedback: * Very clean * Staff is friendly and have great customer service. * Music choices are great. * Taquitos~ fresh & hot and perfectly crispy. (I recommend sauces on the side if you're picking it up to avoid soggy taquitos) Chicken, ground beed & potato were are all good) * Roll em' up sauce ~ both levels of sauces are delicious * Pineapple Cream Soda ~ absolutely delicious highly recommended. * Chips ~ Great ratio of crunch and thickness & not too salty. * Queso ~ taste was good. It was a white queso more of a thin consistency (heads up Menu shows a yellow queso but it was white queso) * Beans~ were pretty tasty, good flavor not over salted. Negative Feedback: * Rice~ flavorless, dry and had couscous/rice consistency. *Street corn cup~ horrible, watery and tasted like canned corn, it was bland and has no Tajin or butter really no good flavor. The cheetos seemed stale and had no crunch. * Orange Cream Slushee ~ terrible, it was not slush consistency it was a sort of a thick sugary slurry almost not really slushee consistency. * Churro Doughnut ~ ratio of finishing toppings to the donut were not balanced. We were looking forward to trying this place as a possible catering choice for an upcoming party. In short we won't be using them. We had two separate orders: I ordered 2 beef and 1 chicken Taquito and 1 rice order. I got 1 beef and 1 chicken, and no rice. My bad for not checking the bag, but in my defense it was such a simple order. My friend ordered 1 of each taquito and rice. She got her taquitos, but no rice. Honestly as far as flavor they all tasted the same. The corn shells were fried perfectly. It's what is inside that is disappointing. The beef was more like mystery meat turned into puree. My bf asked for limes or lemons and the girl working the counter just gave him a weird look and said no. Not, "sorry we don't" or something to sound sweet. The taquitos were okay, deep fried. Sauce was good, but very chintzy with the amount. The Spanish rice was good, they ran out of the beans, so they subbed another rice. How can you run out of beans??? For $12 it seemed a little pricey, but I wanted to try it. Lemonaid drink was good.
