    Grilled Chicken Fajitas

Excellent Mexican food! Recently stayed in Palm Springs and this place kept coming up as a recommendation from the locals. There was a location close to my hotel but we decided to make the drive and explore the Rancho Mirage area. I went around lunch time on a Wednesday afternoon. There were quite a few customers at that time but no wait. I was impressed by the sheer size of the restaurant. There's a very large parking lot, beautiful fountains, large areas for both outdoor and indoor seating. I liked the authentic Mexican tile and decor which made me think of one of my many trips to Mexico. All of the staff that I came in contact with were very friendly and professional. The portions are large and the food is served piping hot which I love. Margaritas are solid and compliments the meal nicely. No complaints whatsoever. Just delicious Mexican food made authentic and to order. Definitely worth the visit anytime I'm in town.

Just an update, still and always one of our favorites when we are on this side of town. SHORT ANSWER: Yes, for sure this is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy some great good. LOCATION: Excellent location, lots of parking. FACILITY: Absolutely huge, outdoor space is large but indoors, oh my it is gigantic. Great bar area with happy hour. Go check it out but make reservations. MENU: Easy to read, not too much to overwhelm a starving person and great combos for lunch or dinner. FOOD PREP: Eaten here many times, it is allways served looking fresh and professional in its display. FOOD QUALITY: Excellent. LIBATIONS: Expensive but good. WAITSTAFF: Very professional, happy to see you, and they appreciate your business... simply a great F&B brand here and spot on management keeping the culture here positive and welcoming. OVERALL VALUE: You can overspend, but the portions are huge, so lots of togo boxes leave this place. Split Plate fee is $5.00 well with it. TIP: Try indoor seating, it is a bit deceptive as you just don't see it when you check in with the host.

We have been coming here for many years, always great food and chips/salsa are on point. We used to drag people here just for the Margaritas alone, but I'm not sure if things are changing? We used to just get one fiesta Cadillac margarita, and they were incredibly strong and delicious without being overly sweet. "One and done" we would say! I feel over the last year, the trips we've taken here they have changed them... seems like less tequila and more sweet stuff, which has made them still "decent" but not the incredible margaritas that used to make us go out of our way to get them! Hoping they read this... please go back to your margarita roots! LOL! Still love you guys, but the drinks are slipping...

We wanted to step out from our hotel for dinner and decided to drive to Las Casuelas. We were extremely happy we did! Mexican food is our favorite food and found what we had been craving. Delicious margaritas, fresh civeche, a very tasty carne asada burrito, a perfectly spiced blackened shrimp salad and to top it off, deep fried ice cream, because, why not? Outside seating is lovely when it's not too hot. There are plenty of tables and misters, but inside is just as lovely in the air conditioned restaurant. Service here was ten stars and parking can be a bit tough. We luckily found parking in front on the street. We highly recommend a visit here for authentic Mexican food. Enjoy!

We were a party of 8 plus an infant so we called and spoke to Gilbert . He was very accommodating. We had a nice table in a semi private section of the restaurant which is huge. Our server was great as was the entire staff. They took exceptional care of us. I had a combo plate with a cheese enchilada and ground beef taco. My wife had a black bean and chicken tostada. We started with fresh made guacamole prepared table side. All in all it was a wonderful evening with great food at a fair price and wonderful service and atmosphere.

Let's start with ambience Was Through the atmosphere! Outstanding 10+++ The Service - no mind you this is a very huge restaurant with a big outside courtyard dining area is where we sat - so I don't know if it being very busy and being such a large restaurant, but the service was just OK. It was my birthday and we didn't have a big party of about nine or 10 people. Couple of people in our party had to ask for something, multiple times more then 3-4 times so service was OK I'm not gonna bash because we were a big party. The restaurant was packed and this restaurant is super super huge so I'm not gonna knock on it too bad but although it was subpar. The Food - it was OK A few things came wrong. I myself ordered the green burrito in the picture. It was a bit sour. Which is they are supposed to be, but not this overly sour but it was definitely edible. My wife ordered the chicken and steak fajitas. Steak was very dry. Chicken was OK and everybody in our party just kind of said the same about the food. It was OK. Nothing to write home about. BUT !!!! They have three restaurants this is the very upscale one the one that is downtown Palm Springs. The original is way better. I don't know if they're fully affiliated but at this location, you are paying double the price just for the ambience which was very very very good. I do recommend going to the one downtown Palm Springs. It's just a smaller restaurant low-key and the food is better has a more authentic taste. I'm not gonna bash this restaurant because it was busy. It is a huge restaurant and we did have a large party so I'm gonna give it three stars.

We came here after recently moving to the area and had a lovely dinner with our family before going to the Palm Springs market night nearby. I was pleasantly surprised by the vibe of this restaurant as well as the great wait staff and amazing food... This is definitely a place to return for lunch and dinner!!

After a long day of pickleball at the PPA Masters, our party of eight made our way to Las Casuelas Nuevas at the rec of one of our friends who had been previously... As others have said, it's a very large restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. We made a reservation ahead of time and were seated promptly upon our arrival. Service was attentive and everyone enjoyed our food and drinks. We started with tableside guac and adults enjoyed some signature margaritas. Some nearby parties were celebrating birthdays, which was fun and added to the overall party vibe. If you're in the area and seeking a family friendly, fun, more upscale vibe with solid Mexican cuisine and/or drinks, you can't go wrong with Las Casuelas Nuevas.

Beautiful Mexican restaurant that looks like a hacienda in the middle of Palm desert. Staff was very friendly, and we felt like we were in another world in this beautiful place. We ordered the carne asada burrito and split it and got the table side guacamole. It needed a little bit more acid and salt but it was fine. The refried beans, rice and the carne asada burrito were very good. Maybe the burrito was a tad on the salty side for me. But that could just be me. I would still come back here. It's a great experience especially with groups.

Absolutely, no doubt about it DELICIOUS! We haven't been to Las Casuelas in years, we live 200 miles away, so glad we came for lunch! 11:30 am on a Sunday, had the place pretty much to ourselves. Absolutely love the wait staff, the decor and enchanting ambience are historic and beautiful... The family owners of this restaurant obviously take extreme pride in this location. I always judge a restaurant by the salsa and chips... if those are good, you got a winner! They win the trophy! Wife thoroughly enjoyed an ample chicken taquito with chicken enchilada. I had the Puerta Vallarta: beef taco with cheese enchilada. Beans were perfectly cooked and seasoned, mexican rice was exactly the way it should be. The beef taco was filled to the top with well seasoned beef, not lettuce like most places. Mango margaritas were not watered down and you got a good level of tequila. If a perfect mexican restaurant existed, it would be this one. Cheers to the entire staff and owners on being the top of the list for us. Frank Sinatra ate here regularly back in the day, now I know why. Superior on every level!

I love the architecture of this building they built for the restaurant. Waitress told us a local architect designed for the restaurant owner family to expand their business in 1979 and it's a beauty. The staff were so friendly and attentive and we enjoyed the chips and salsa and the steak fajitas. Although we'd like the steak to be cooked more rarely as it was a little tough.

Beautiful restaurant, if you are looking for a nice date night or place to host a gathering this should be at the top of your list. We stopped in on a weeknight for dinner, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as a decent parking lot. Service was quick, complementary chips and salsa served at each table. They have a large menu with plenty of options. I tried the tostada salad. It was good a large portion and fresh ingredients. I would recommend and I will definitely be returning when I find myself in the area.

*Oceana's Breeze in the Desert*…read more The star of the night was the octopus appetizer. Best ever. Seriously. Fresh. Tender. Juicy. Succulent. The Hummus and Demi glaze was Fantastico. And so was our sweet and lovely waitress, Alo. She's attentive, friendly, charming and such a doll. Wifey told her "you're the best waitress we've had in the entire Coachella Valley. And I agree 100%. Wifey's hibiscus margarita was unique, flavorful and refreshing. She forget to tell them "no salt." But it all worked out for the better, because the salt & chili powder spice rim on the glass, kicked it up another notch. I sampled it with a couple sips and totally agree. I'm generally a h2o dude when I eat...and loved the glass water bottle left table-side. More restaurants need to offer this. All our food was outstanding. My Branzino/fish was excellent quality and prepared perfectly. But a little too much sauce for my liking. I prefer Branzino when it's grilled whole with a light sauce. The piccata style was prepared well and the texture too. The sauce was good but a little salty for me -- especially with all the capers, and would prefer a little more lemon flavor. The rice was overly salty and wifey mentioned it to me before I even had my first bite. She had the Bosa Verde and enjoyed it very much. We both happily cleaned our plates. The squash was perfect and paired well with our entrees. Free complementary birthday dessert for wifey was just okay. Though we appreciated the thought and celebratory gesture...it was prepared with way too much gelatin and was like thick tres leche milk jello...and with ice cream too on top -- diary overkill. The carmel sauce was right on the money. Perhaps the preparation is their take on this dessert? Next time, we're going to be all over that Carlata Cake we saw at one of the other tables. The service is top-tier & polished. Couldn't ask for better hospitality. Along with Alo, was Daniel (who I recognized from Salsas) and the bartender Alex, who both happily joined in on the action. Chef Oscar, also made his way to our table to say hello & Happy Birthday. And of course let's not forget the classy & gracious owner, Fernando, who we shared a wonderful conversation with. He's a sharp dressed man, with lots of restaurant and resort history in the Coachella Valley. The restaurant & bar decor is simple yet chic, elegant and cozy. The lighting & room temp was perfecto. And the chairs at our table were extremely comfortable -- which encouraged more enjoyment and lingering. I've read some reviews claiming the restaurant is very loud. We did not experience that. Thankfully. The octopus alone is enough to bring us back for a lite bite at the bar...and more dining experiences to sample more of the menu, for both lunches & dinners. Looking forward to trying their ahi tacos -- served only at lunch. My wife had her choice to dine at any restaurant she wanted for her birthday. Since we both love great fish, we narrowed it down to Oceana and their reputation. Thanks, Oceana...for making just another ordinary Birthday, more special, memorable and extraordinary. {{{Big~High~Five}}} Grandslam We're Fans
