    Grilled chicken tostada

We enjoyed Valentines Dinner at Casa Mendoza this year. It was not too crowded around 7:30, they had live mariachi and seating was available in the dining room, and bar areas. We split the tostada salad and mini beef chimichangas . The chicken tostada salad was delicious, with fresh and flavorful chicken breast over shredded lettuce, beans, cheese sour cream and guacamole. The mini chimichangas were amazing!! I highly recommend trying them, I loved the flavor and addition of chopped sautéd chile peppers. We love stopping into this location when we find ourselves in Palm Dessert.

Found this gem of a Mexican restaurant while visiting Palm desert for a wedding. It's so authentic & the staff was so great. William the bartender who took care of us was so nice & welcoming. we were so impressed with his michelada knowledge. This restaurant is also so beautiful inside. He told me they were known for there asada and I'm so glad I listened. My fiance got menudo, a crunchy taco and enchiladas. All were delicious & cured our wedding hangover lol. Would for sure go back next time in area

Service was very friendly and good, the bar mixed some good drinks and the food was good.

    Mini chimichangas

Absolutely amazing!!!! We came here for lunch on a Wednesday and the food was made completely fresh. The atmosphere was great, good music, and authentic feel. It was totally apparent that things are made to order. We had the trio enchiladas and the mini chimichangas and could not get enough. We also had plenty to take home! Our service and experience was excellent!

    Fried Ice cream.

Excellent food and menu, thank you chef Luis. Unimaginable service, It was our first time (My wife and I) on this restaurant, it was our lucky day to choose this place, and very impressed by the crew. I just want to shoutout to very hard working crew, Angelina, Manny and the chef Luis, they accepted almost 40+ plus customers at once unexpectedly, they we're running very professionally and with the smile on their face, well done. Family ambiance.

Excellent authentic food. Manny, the bartender took my order and kept checking on me. Great service!

    Destiny's Ribeye

Shoutout to Angelina and Manny (the bartender) -- absolute rockstars! For a while, it was just the two of them hustling to serve 40+ people. My husband and I were seriously about to grab an apron and jump in because they were everywhere at once--cleaning tables, seating customers, taking orders, serving food--you name it, they were doing it. And can we talk about Chef Louise? If you're into garlic (like really into garlic), Destiny's ribeye will make you very, very happy. All in all, amazing teamwork and great food. You guys crushed it--keep doing what you're doing!

The service was great. I didn't love the house margarita. Chips and salsa were great. Food was ok. Nice patio.

Nice spot with a good salsa. The food was good. The quesadilla had lots of cheese. The burritos come with rice and beans too.

We also go often during happy hour can't go wrong with their fungi pizza especially at $10 as as well as the boom boom shrimp although I believe that's a slightly smaller portion still well worthwhile. We have a couple of salads that are fantastic, and my son enjoys a few of their pasta dishes. I think the only thing that we haven't tried yet are the steaks although I did try the pork chop once it was phenomenal. Cocktails are reasonable. We've had a few that were better than others. This is one area of opportunity for consistency. Mostly though we like that we can go at any time and they always have multiple items that we enjoy whereas most of our other places we get the same thing 80% of the visit

We made the best of it but would have preferred to be outside as the original plan for the res. It was almost if the staff was too lazy to setup "nine outdoors". Service was great (gave an extra hundy over the 20% large group charge) and food/drinks were pretty good, but won't be back due to the neglection-in-attention-to-detail laissez-faire delivery. Good luck indeed!

My youngest loved her spaghetti and meatballs and she is usually pretty picky about pasta. I had the butternut squash ravioli and they were rich, creamy, and exactly what I wanted. My wife ordered the miso glazed seabass and she loved it. I stole her bok choy and that made me very happy. The restaurant is really clean with a laid back contemporary vibe and great music. The AC at our first table was blasting cold air right on us and the staff moved us right away with no issue at all. They were also incredibly kind to my youngest whose birthday we were celebrating. They surprised her with her favorite tiramisu and a candle which completely made her night. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

It clearly caters to a sophisticated crowd--very similar in vibe to their Calabasas location. While parking is accessible in the rear, it can get congested during peak season. The menu is extensive with plenty of excellent selections, though the pricing is definitely premium. For instance, a Cobb salad topped with fish can easily exceed $45; while the quality is high, that's a significant jump over nearby staples like Daily Grill. Service was friendly but lacked consistency; our server disappeared mid-meal without a hand-off, requiring us to flag down other staff. Overall, it's a bright, airy, and stylish spot well worth a visit, provided you're prepared for the 'luxury' price point.

We started with dinner and ended up staying for the music, dancing, and all the fun that makes The Nest such a special place. I ordered the chicken piccata and honestly, it was the best I've ever had. The service was wonderful, and even though we were seated near the piano in the bar area where it can get a little loud, that's part of what makes it such a fun atmosphere. The best part of the night was having everyone together. My niece's boyfriend was visiting from Ireland, and we laughed and danced all night. I especially loved seeing my sister-in-law out on the dance floor and having so much fun. It was one of those nights where people of all ages were dancing, laughing, and just enjoying being together. We had such a great time that they went back again the very next night. The live music was fantastic, and it was great seeing Nick on saxophone. The crowd was a fun mix, the energy was high, and the whole place just felt happy. A coworker recently went during Restaurant Week and couldn't stop talking about the steak, the generous portions, and the peanut butter pie. The Nest has been a desert favorite for years, and there's a reason. It's always nice to see Dodi there and how much pride she takes in the restaurant. Most people think of The Nest for the music and dancing, but don't miss the food. It really is that good! One tip: go early or make a dinner reservation so you don't end up waiting in line.
