I had the most pleasant experience here! The drinks, the food, the service.. everything was amazing! So many fun twists to traditional Mexican dishes that I couldn't get enough of.

The ambiance was nice and we loved our server Val. The appetizers were very good - especially the chips and guacamole and the cornbread. Drinks were well made and tasty. The kitchen got behind and our entrees took a really long time to arrive. Unfortunately by the time we got it, the chicken mole enchiladas that four or five of us had ordered were cold. We did not send the food back because it had taken so long to get it in the first place. Then, because the kitchen had taken so long, we were asked to make decisions about dessert within seconds after receiving our entrees. The dessert itself was tasty - the churros were my fav - the flan was good but more dense than other flans I have had. Overall a 3.5 but rounding up because of the excellent appetizers and Val's kindness.

Not used to paying for a small basket of chips at a Mexican restaurant for starters. I had the shrimp enchiladas. There were 2, no sides. Of course I could have paid extra. They were shrimp, wrapped in a tortilla, nothing else inside, with a sauce on top. The tortilla separates from the shrimp when cut. Flavor was mediocre at best. And quite pricey, too. Bathroom was dirty. Very disappointed. Looked pretty but....

Monday Funday! Started the afternoon with some shopping on El Paseo and then headed over to Mole for some indigenous inspired Mexican cuisine. This restaurant has been on my list for a while now and finally got to try them today with a friend. The inside is super cozy and dimly lit which is much needed when escaping the bright hot desert sun. The interior was classy but still casual enough for us to come in without having dressed up. They have a full bar, patio seating and plenty of comfortable indoor booths. My takeaways from here were that the service was impeccable, everyone was super nice and attentive. Jenny took great care of us and was super sweet and helpful. All good vibes here. The cocktails were beautiful, so much so that I would highly recommend their Prickly Pear Margarita. For my main I had the Shrimp Enchiladas in a green tomatillo sauce which was delightful, mild for those that prefer a little less heat. My friend had the prime skirt steak tacos which looked equally as delicious. This restaurant is more sophisticated to match the downtown El Paseo vibes so the price point matches but everything was delicious and the service delightful that it was well worth it. No complaints at all. Easily a 5/5 for this area. Already eager to come back soon.

I've been here twice now, and both times I was blown away! Everything is excellent here. The guacamole is delicious with fried tortillas that are dusted in salt and Tajín. The salsa is excellent without being super spicy. The enchiladas were so good, I had the chicken in mole and my husband had the salmon enchiladas in a chipotle sauce. Highly recommend either or both. The decor is cool and vibey, kind of a CDMX feel. Our server was Brandon and he had such a great and kind energy. Will definitely be back again when we're back in town. Highly recommend.

Made a 4:45pm Saturday date night res outside table, which worked out well as the afternoon sun turned to dusk to nighttime w the beautiful Mole's lighting interior. Great service from Jesus and wait staff team, awesome cadillac margaritas in taste and presentation w shots of grand marnier on the side. We shared a guacamole dip, ceasar salad, and borracho chicken. Nothing was too mind blowing (we probably liked the ceasar the best) and wife's chicken plate had a large bone in it. Atmosphere was amazing and got super busy as night progressed but food was average. Highly recommend making a res as we saw a ton of people, from large families to couples dressed to the nines, get turned away.

Only 4 stars? ...SACRILEGE! Tied for Best gourmet Mexican I've ever had. Sea-Galley is to sushi The way Mexican food is to Mole! That should cover it. artful/complex flavor profiles in both traditional and modern plates. I had the fancy guacamole with lobster in it. Holy Moses. A meal! And a lamb shank in mole sauce... Damn. I couldn't craft fancy enough words to do this place justice. I could bitch about the service being a little flower than average But then I'd be petty! I'll be back a third time Fourth time. Infinitum Till I've partaken in the whole menu

Wow! What a great find while visiting Palm Desert! We were seated at a lovely booth and immediately greeted by our server Israel who was so warm and attentive to us! We started with the Cadillac margaritas and chips, guacamole and salsa! So delicious! We tried several different dishes, including the bone marrow, salmon enchiladas and beet salad! Very generous portions and wonderful flavors. Really looking forward to coming back to try something new next time

This place was hit and miss for us. The ambiance is nice. It is upscale Mexican food, and it's got great lighting and nice decor. The outside area is cute. The service is a bit rocky. We counted 10 people working front of house and only one guy was taking orders. Seems like there might have been a few being trained but still seems like you might have someone else taking orders. The guy who was taking orders was doing a great job and was very friendly. I am usually pretty lenient on service but we ordered chips and salsa and it took 20 minutes to get. We had to ask about it, we got our drinks first and waited for quite awhile before asking. The chips and salsa were delicious so it was worth the wait! The charred Esquitas was SO GOOD! Was limey and very good! We got the skirt steak which had good flavor but the steak was a bit grisly. We also got a Caesar salad with steak and that steak was also very grisly and tough to eat. The Caesar salad was a bit light on flavor. The food besides the starters were fine but not amazing. The restaurant was packed and others seemed to be enjoying. This was just an okay spot for us.

We were really looking forward to our meal here, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish. Despite a large party being seated next to us, we noticed that nearly every other table around us received more attentive service than we did. We were barely checked on, while other guests were consistently looked after. It started with our appetizer being completely forgotten. My daughter-in-law and son both ordered tea, but when my daughter-in-law took a sip, she immediately felt something sharp in her mouth. At first, she thought it was a stem but when she pulled it out, it was a piece of glass. We immediately pulled both cups away and waited for our server, who didn't come by for another 10 minutes. I finally had to get up and inform the hostess, who was on the phone at the time. I requested a bottled drink to be safe. They did apologize and asked if she was okay, but the damage to our trust had already been done. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best. The snapper was overcooked, and the flavors didn't work together at all. I also reminded them about the forgotten appetizer and asked for it to be removed from our bill though they did bring it out to-go, it was far too late to salvage the experience. Frankly, if my daughter-in-law had swallowed the piece of glass, this review could have been about something far more serious. Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it.

Walked in here on Mother's Day, thank god place was not busy since we didn't have reservations. We sat at the bar, ordered the guac-crab as an appetizer. It was sooo good! I ordered the shrimp tostada and wifey ordered the beef enchiladas. Enjoyed every bite of our dinner! Just FYI this is not a tex-mex chimichanga restaurant, these are carefully crafted authentic Mexican dishes hence the higher prices. Shout out to the staff for being so attentive and friendly!

Cerviche De Camaron - an appetizer for $20 but can be ordered as a meal. Fresh gulf shrimp and lump crab with a spicy tomato broth

I loved this place! Travis, the general manager, greeted us when we arrived then seated us at a four top by the window. Galinda our server immediately approached us to bring cold water and ask if we wanted a margarita. "Ah, that would be a heck - ya!!! We ordered their "Blood Orange" Margarita which was fabulous. 5/5 (not too sweet and the perfect "happy feeling," if you know what mean) And now for the food: *Guacamole & chips $16 (5/5) freshly made granished with pomegranates. The homemade chips were round, crispy and lightly salted. *Cerviche De Camaron $20 5/5 - beautifully prepared with gulf shrimp & lump crab served on top of a tomato broth. *Prime Skirt Steak Tacos w/Black Beans & Rice on the side 4/5 - $26 very good but the steak was just a tad tough to chew The interior is beautiful and very clean. They have an outdoor patio available as well. *Street parking and a few lots in the area.

The bone marrow is so flavorful. It truly tasted so rich in flavors and the elote just enhanced all the flavors. The kids quesadilla was also so delicious, added steak. The inside is super cute as well!

It clearly caters to a sophisticated crowd--very similar in vibe to their Calabasas location. While parking is accessible in the rear, it can get congested during peak season. The menu is extensive with plenty of excellent selections, though the pricing is definitely premium. For instance, a Cobb salad topped with fish can easily exceed $45; while the quality is high, that's a significant jump over nearby staples like Daily Grill. Service was friendly but lacked consistency; our server disappeared mid-meal without a hand-off, requiring us to flag down other staff. Overall, it's a bright, airy, and stylish spot well worth a visit, provided you're prepared for the 'luxury' price point.

Our original seafood plan fell through (fully booked, of course, because that's how these things go), so we pivoted last minute. Expectations were...moderate. What we got? A full-on flavor win. First things first: the coconut shrimp. Order it. Don't discuss it. Just do it. Crispy, sweet, a little tropical magic--gone way too fast. Then came the blackened mahi mahi tacos...wow. The kind of "close your eyes mid-bite" good. And the crab cakes? I actually felt a little emotional taking that last bite. No shame. The real plot twist, though? The kids. Our notoriously picky eaters didn't just tolerate the food--they enjoyed it. Like, voluntarily ate it. Parents, you know how rare that is. The vibe struck that sweet spot too--dimly lit and relaxed, with a breezy island feel that somehow still worked for a family night out. I was half expecting to feel out of place with kids in tow, but it couldn't have been more welcoming. The staff was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience easy. So yeah, what started as a backup plan turned into one of those unexpectedly great nights. Safe to say we'll be back--this time on purpose.

Been coming here even before I moved to the desert. Back in 2019, things were fun, friendly, and delicious. Fast forward to now: hostesses who couldn't care if you lived or died, bartenders that are annoyed that you asked for a drink, and food fresh out of the freezer from Ralphs. This isn't one time bad experience, this is a culmination of the past several times we've been. The last straw: 43 dollars for lobster cappalini. Pasta was good (but not homemade or fresh: could buy from store and make yourself), but the lobster was an absolute TRAVESTY! Gummy, frozen, overcooked. When I flagged down a waitress to take it back she already knew what I was going to say lol. And the second one they reheated, although less smelly, was gummy, dry, the worst piece of lobster I've ever had. When I asked for a manager after they gladly took our money with no comp, no attempt at placating us whatsoever, I was greeted by a girl no older than 21 imo with a guy standing in the background crossing his arms.. no sorry or knowledge of the situation whatsoever, just a placeholder person to pacify. If I didn't say anything they would have gladly taken my money. This is a super long and verbose review but I'll be posting it wherever I can because this place is a freakin RIP. there are SO many better options so seriously do NOT waste your time. There's a decent patio with a good amount of seating. Inside is where the party is. The place is set with two seating area. Right when you walk in is the bar. A good amount of hi top seating and tables. Hi top seating that are along the window were actually very uncomfortable. Padded seats were so narrow that seating was so uncomfortable but oh well. There's the other room seating area which houses all the wine on shelves. I believe it's also a wine store but that sectioned was closed for a private event. We just wanted a drink before dinner so no food was had. From the looks of the dishes that were coming out, they looked really nice. Tapas style dishes made for sharing. With happy hour, there was a couple dishes that was included. Also they offered a deal with a charcuterie board and a bottle included. We just went with a glass of their house red and white. And an order of spicy margaritas. It's a full bar so that was nice. Margaritas were great and house wine was decent. The service was great with the bartender who was a doll and very sweet. Made drinks and still had time to come check out on people. It was still early but it did pick up for happy hour which is from 5-6 right when they open. The place was quite nice and well decorated. Beautiful wine bar that's great for mingling with friends over food drinks and tapas. Will definitely be back for some food.

Stepping in, the ambience is a "cool" dark, the child of a rugged bar and an LA American food…read morerestaurant. Lively, diverse, energized full of bright faces that bring light to the dimly lit space. Service was stellar - attentive, on it, anticipated needs/preferences before they were even addressed. A quick anecdote, the waitress made PROACTIVE decisions knowing I am Vegan, not just reactive - a rare thing outside of high dining restaurant. Red wine flight included a fantastic Cab & Cab Reserve, and a "very good" Pinot...and that's coming from a person who does not drink Pinot. I didn't care for the blend but then again I never care for a blend as it is. Food was "American" style tapas - small plates of well crafted foods ranging from flatbread pizza to meatballs to vege pockets and (for me) a "Vegan Stack" composed of rice, mango, avocado, and a delicious spicy mayo. Tiramisu dessert disappeared in all of 20 seconds, well plated and beautifully crafted. You will not leave La Fe thinking to yourself "that was the greatest food I've ever had," but you may just leave thinking "this was the best time with my friends I've ever had" - and THAT is what this restaurant is for -- Bring your friends for a night on the town, bring your family for an energized reunion, bring yourself for a social time itch-scratching. In other words, this restaurant has a unique PLACE in the Palm Desert area: it is the place to happy social.
