I'm pretty baffled by the high ratings because this wasn't good at all, and there were a lot of issues. To start, the place smelled when we walked in. The restaurant was dirty, and there were open shipping boxes of utensils just sitting out. The guy behind the counter didn't seem very happy to be there, and seemed impatient. We received very thick plastic to-go packaging even though we were eating in there, not a very environmentally conscious move especially since the bowls didn't fit in the recycling they had in there. And to receive to-go packaging without being asked if we're taking it to go feels unwelcome as if they don't want us eating there. Food-wise, the bowl was completely absent of flavor and the fish was really chewy, didn't feel fresh, and cut in very small cubes. The veggies (cucumbers and tomatoes) were huge on the other hand, so the fish really got lost in the bowl and the bowl ended up eating like a rice, cucumber and tomato bowl. The positives are that the size of the bowl was pretty large, and I didn't get sick. There are many better poke places in the area, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

Hot take, but after giving it some attempts, I feel like Rocky Fin is overrated. If you're in the neighborhood, it definitely beats Asuka. The taste is fresh, and the presentation pleasing. But the quantity leaves a lot to be desired. The first bowl I ordered had the fish hidden, as did the second. And when you dig around, it's easy to see why. "Two scoops" equates to two tablespoons. The amount of rice was scant too (maybe a half a centimeter of overly dry rice at the bottom). Even the amount of cucumber was sparse. I'm sympathetic to inflationary considerations, but for $16 I can't say this is worth it to me. Especially not compared to competitors like Poke City.

I had the fortune of eating here on my last trip to Denver before the pandemic. One thing that drew me to this location was the variety of options, and good prices with fresh fish were just a bonus. Something about the setup of this restaurant kind of gives it a homey feel. Possibly a combination of the decor, smaller size, and friendly service made me feel like a regular though it was my first visit. Though the flavor combinations weren't as amazing as some other poke bowls I've had, the fish portions were very generous (fish could've been a bit fattier) and the sides were delicious. I was actually quite surprised at how little rice I was given in comparison to toppings and fish -- given the price of the bowl. Overall, a great option for getting a delicious poke bowl that doesn't skimp on the fish or toppings.

Great quality food and customization! My partner and I didn't want to make any of the meals we planned for the week. So we decided to get some poke. And let me tell you, this hit the spot! It was nicely balanced and delicious! A little tip: if you don't want too much rice get half rice half spring mix! Lexi gets it this way! Nice and satisfied without being too full! Dan & Lexi

My first and only poke I've had in Colorado and I am so glad it didn't disappoint even though I got it delivered! The ingredients were so tasty and filling, two scoops was more than enough. My bf doesn't crave for poke all that often, but when he tried it here, he said he wants to visit the place the moment life goes back to normal! Anyways, really recommend the salmon and spicy tuna

YUM I really should leave this review as YUM because this was a great poke bowl. I got the Signature with 1/2 brown rice and mix. Sauce was spicy and tasty and so many toppings. Very filling.

This place a pretty good! I stopped in randomly after finding them on Yelp, and was pleasantly surprised. It's tucked in just off of colfax so I always missed it when I drove by. They have a pretty typical set up for poke, with the assembly/order counter at the front and a small seating area toward the door. I got the build your own bowl. I enjoyed the sauce and topping variety they had, but found it odd that they had restrictions on how many of a particular topping you can pick which I'm not accustomed to. Make sure they add everything you ask for, because the person making my bowl almost forgot to add my sauces. I did come in on a slow day, but I'd really prefer if the employees were more consistent with their food safe practices. There were 3 women working on the day I went in, and one didn't have her hair up. I heard someone at the next table over find a hair in their food... I may come back if I'm in the area, but I would be more willing if there was more consistency.

Cute mom and pop poke bar. Fresh fish, good selection of toppings and sauces. What can I say, nothing to complain about! I ordered 2 scoops of salmon, 1 scoop of spicy tuna (which could have been spicier), with the spicy aioli and soy sauce mix. Lots of toppings and a good crunch from the bori and fried onion.

My best friend and I were planning to go out to dinner, but ended up choosing to stay in. We still wanted something delicious and foodie for dinner. I was specifically craving poke. Rocky Fin Poke Bar was basically the only poke place open past 8 on a Saturday night. I was impressed by the online ordering system and the amount of toppings you are able to add. A lot of times poke places only let you pick a few toppings. Not the case here. The food was fresh and delicious. 10/10 will eat here again!

Order poke bowls through their online ordering process for takeout. Super easy and straight forward! Plenty of options to choose from which is nice for those who like to stuff their poke bowls. The fish was fresh and didn't have that fishy taste to it. Cilantro was a bit dry and wasn't shredded nicely, which made it harder to eat. The spicy Shoyu sauce was good but it wasn't spicy at all! I was hoping the restaurant had premade menu items because sometimes I'm just too indecisive and don't know what mixes well hahaha. The restaurant itself is very clean and good amount of space to sit indoors. My food said it would be ready later than expected but I still went early to pick it up and it was ready already - woohoo! Definitely a tasty make your own poke spot to go to!

Do they have spicy mayo or spicy wasabi here?

Yes! Spicy mayo is one of their sauces to mix with the fish. They also have wasabi to add on the side.
