My dryer broke (well actually it was making noise, I tried to fix it and then it definitely *became* broken ). I found John B on yelp and gave him a call. He called me back within 30 minuets. He helped me diagnose the problem (with no judgement for my DIY efforts!). He squeezed me in later that day since he was in the area. He showed up (with the online appointment system it gives you a heads up when they are coming, how nice!!), was friendly, helpful and fixed the dryer in under 20 minutes. He gave me a very reasonable price (150 since there were no parts needed and quick job). I would highly recommend giving him a call (instead of watching dozens of youtube videos and getting frustrated!) for all your dryer repair needs! read more

Super trustable. I thought I had a dryer problem, but after describing it, John said it was more likely a clogged vent. Showing more concern for me than for himself, he referred me to a vent cleaning specialist. Rather than charging me for a probably unneeded repair, he gave me free advice! Had John come over to fix our washing machine. we were split between fixing or buying new. We didn't want to spend money if it could not be fixed but John assured me that it would be either $230 or $250 to repair as compared to $650 for a new one. So John sent me a text this morning confirming the address and a second text when he was on his way. He was very knowledgeable and after asking a few questions got right to work. He told me it was not what he thought it would be but it was his second guess. He was here maybe 45 minutes and $250 later we had a working washing machine. Asked John to come take a look at our dryer that wasn't heating. The unit would turn on but just no heat. We advised him that we were smelling something electrical in the laundry room but didn't have the smell inside the dryer itself. He was on time and professional. He took a look at the outside of the dryer and checked a couple things on his phone. Then without opening the dryer itself or removing any panels, he gave us an estimate for replacement parts which would be about the same as a new unit. Paid his fee for diagnosing the problem. So once the new unit arrived. I installed it myself and had the exact same problem with the new unit. New unit would turn on but no heat. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the wall outlet itself was shorted and not working properly. That was the smell from before. Once I replaced the outlet. The new dryer worked perfectly! I wish John would've noticed this instead of guessing and especially when not even opening up the unit or pulling the unit out from the wall. He guessed what was wrong without even really diagnosing the unit or what the real problem was. Now I'm pretty sure our old unit was working just fine and that changing a $10 wall outlet would've solved our problem instead of buying a new dryer. Now I'm out over $900 for a new dryer and his fee. read more

Clothes dryer wasn't drying the clothes so I found John on yelp. Very easy to schedule an appointment. He asked me to send him the serial number of the dryer (assuming he wanted to make sure he had the right parts). He was on time for the appointment (a bit early actually but this was fine), and promptly fixed the dryer. Overall professional, pleasant and easy to work with. I'd highly recommend him. read more

Very disappointed that the job wasn't completed. John "fixed" my dishwasher, but advised I'd have to have someone else come out because after "fixing" it, he noticed that the attached valve to the garbage disposal didn't have the punch out removed, so rather than removing it and punching it out to complete the service, I was advised to call someone to do it. Basically paid to have the equipment "fixed" which still does not work and now have to pay someone to come out and complete the work and hope the repair, I actually paid for, WILL work. Not clear on why he couldn't complete the job himself, seems he had somewhere else to be, but seemed annoyed with my inquires as to why he couldn't complete it and focused instead on explaining how easy it would be, getting paid and leaving. Pretty unprofessional, $250 bucks later and still no working dishwasher is pretty disappointing, and now the added expense and time, to find someone else to come out to remove and pop out the hole punch from the disposer where the washer valve connects. Would've gladly paid a little more to just have the job completed, and a working piece of equipment. read more

Incredibly unprofessional. When I asked about the warranty, there was nothing that could be produced in writing. Meanwhile, John pressured me to sign the work order while being unable to adequately address my question about the warranty and information I would receive as a customer.
