I used them as my only plumber for over 10 years. A technician came out today and sat in the bathroom for almost 2 hours just to give me the ridiculous price quotes. I have used Rolland Reash several times over the past few years. The company I work for also uses them when needed. Last year they replaced a pump for my 2nd bath. The one I had was not always working correctly and had gotten quite frustrating. I had added this bath about 5 years ago when Hurricane Matthew caused a massive tree to fall on my house...when rebuilding the laundry room, my contractor added a bath in that space. Due to the distance from my septic tank, a pump was required. Rolland Reash came out and assessed the situation. They advised I needed a slightly differently type of pump and came out a couple of days later to remove the old one and install the new. I was given a set price for the job and that did not change. Since installation, I have had no issues whatsoever. More recently, my kitchen sink was stopping up on both sides. In addition, my hall bath toilet was difficult to flush. I went to Rolland Reash's website and completed info for someone to contact me for a service call. It was after hours on Thursday night and not an emergency. I got a phone call from RR @ 8 the following morning and was told someone could be out around 1 PM the same day. I was also quoted a price for the job. The technicians arrived right on time and within an hour, both of my plumbing issues had been successfully resolved! Just FYI-If you happen to be reading this and your sink is not draining like mine...they may try to unclog it from the inside first. If that does not work, they will likely try going on your roof and accessing the vent pipe. That's what happened with mine. The vent pipe was clogged up. This is the 2nd time since I've owned my home (32 years) that the vent had to be unclogged. The first time, I didn't even know what a vent pipe was! Plumbing issues can be intimidating when you don't know a lot about how it all works. Kind of like taking your car in for repairs...you don't know what's wrong, how to fix it, or how much it might cost. We have had clogging issues through the 35 years we have been at our house. What we need is a plumber that can get on roof for clean out as it us and older home. Now insurance considers that a liability we had to pay extra but that was clear before they came out. First they were on time. Appointment was at 9 they were here at 8:50am. Very polite and experienced in knowledge. Darren was lead and he had an apprentice with him. They did a great job. They were receptive and as we are older they knew the last place was the roof. Nd there was no way of getting out of it. It was worth every penny. Ty for the great professional customer service from the administrator to the workers. We were blessed today. Plumbing is expensive but it's better to know it was completed correctly. read more

My experience with Rolland Reash precipitously declined with each visit. After paying premium prices for them to assess a leak on a Sunday, I was appreciative of their ability to fit me in. They indicated that there was no pipe leak...but in actuality there was. They returned a second time to actually fix the issue that a leak detection service identified and then I had to call a third time as there appeared to be an ongoing leak according to the contractor. I was ok with paying for their services the first time but the frustration began to build as I was charged for a service fee the second time to fix the same leak that they missed the first time. Why was I paying for their mistake? I was beyond frustrated by the third time when they wanted to charge for fuel, a new addition. Charging a nearly $100 service fee for $20-30 parts that take 10 minutes to fix feels like price gauging. Not to mention that without my permission, they called a friend who is a contractor and gave my number and address to him. This is probably not the best way to obtain a loyal customer base. Hopefully I won't need a plumber any time soon but if I do I guess I'll be looking for a different company. read more

I needed a disposal replaced and some of the plumbing into the wall from the pee trap wasn't done correctly. Consequently I would have frequent back ups in the sink and tiny food particles on my dishes. I was selling my home and only needed the tub spout replaced on one bathtub. It had already been put on but not correctly so it was leaking. The plumber showed up and took over an hour to fix it. Not only did he milk the clock but then they also charge outrageous amounts for use of their tools (wrenches, screwdrivers), caulk which was not used and truck wear and tear! I had a 4 piece tub/shower installed for $2,950. It was not worth the money or hassle. It was a surprise to see the tub because they sent a picture of a computer screen with pictures of the tub and said "this is the best I can do." They stated that the tub was standard but failed at acknowledging a curve that would show a concrete slab. Their solution? Put 1/2 round across leaving a 2in gap still exposing concrete and 2-3 inches of caulk smeared on the tub where they "glued" the 1/2round with caulk (they also tried to use finishing nails in concrete) and " wiped" the excess. There were a few other things but they came out and "fixed" the 1/2 round by cutting it to 45° and then a few days later all the caulking started to crack and pop off the tub. They again came out to fix the problems but then ripped off the 1/2 round because it was not PVC and then proceeded to ruin our new floor....they spoke to my wife in a very condescending tone. The finish on their work leaves a lot to be desired. read more

I admit I was hesitant due to low ratings by two others here but as a longtime consumer reporter on television, I can't praise these folks highly enough! The office staff was so efficient in understanding my issue and getting me the help I needed, I decided they couldn't be what a couple others described. Scott arrived promptly and was not only courteous and respectful of my place, he was professional in every way. He installed a hose bib inside my house (so I can run a hose to the outdoor terrace in my highrise) without making it a big deal. He gave me every confidence I will not have a leak or any other kind of problem I was worried about. As for price, it was extremely reasonable and fair...far less than another company quoted for the same job. The materials and workmanship were also first-rate. Five stars for Rolland Reash and his crew in the office and in the field. You couldn't ask for more from any plumber. And no, neither Rolland nor Scott are related...at the hourly rates most of these guys charge I wish I HAD a plumber in the family! read more

Heard advertising on 1010XL radio. Called relating to a sewer clog. First visit did NOT resolve the problem because there was NOT enough pipe snake to adequately push the clog to the street from the roof vent pipe. As a result, the first visit moved the clog consisting of several golf balls and two matchbox cars slight down the gravity line. Toilet and tub back up resumed. It took a week to get a receipt for that work. Second call out a day or two later was even worse than the first. Under warranty from the first failure, it was a feeble effort. Worker did NOT have a extension ladder on his truck. Again, his truck did NOT carry enough snake to push the clog any further than the first. Toilet and tub back up resumed after the worker claimed the clog was cleared. Third call out was NOT warranted, of course. Amazingly, this worker, who claimed to be the best plumber in Jacksonville, refused to climb on the roof, push the clog out and be on his merry way to his next job. He did NOT have an extension cord and had to barrow ours. It was clear that he was going about unclogging the gravity line the wrong way. He made the clog worse by pushing it back closer to the fixture from which the items were flushed instead of away from it. Once again, the worker did not have enough snake on his truck to work the clog out of the gravity line DESPITE the fact that they were told over the phone to bring more sections of snake. Told by the office not to worry the truck had everything on it he needed. It did NOT. The worker insisted there was a clean out closer to the house than the municipally installed one at the street. There was NOT. So he piddled around with a probe for a considerable length of time poking the ground in vain, perhaps a half hour. After some time, he returned to the front of the home and BROKE into the sewer line at a previous patch claiming he found "the" clean out. In the process he destroyed the concrete patch by breaking it in pieces. He did NOT have the appropriate auger on his truck and did NOT have the PVC fittings either. So he left the job site for SEVERAL hours. He returned and finally managed to clear a clog which two previous workers claimed to have cleared. He left a second time because he forgot/did NOT have the correct fitting required to complete his new-fangled sewer clean out which was NOT necessary save for the fact that he broke the concrete patch to bits. Attempts to lower the repair bill were met with haughtiness as the office person attempted to defend the shoddy work by stating "they did video and can prove it was a clog causing....the clog". Well, yeah, that's why you call a plumber to clear a clog. Do NOT use this plumbing company. They will find a way to milk the job out and that costs you a LOT of money. After getting an overpriced quote for a hot water heater installation from another contractor, I reached out to Rolland Reash Plumbing for a quote. I received a really reasonable quote and an appointment for the very next day. Justin showed up on time and was very professional. The water heater was expertly installed in short order. A few days later I had a dishwasher delivered and the delivery company refused to install the dishwasher. I called Rolland Reash Plumbing and they were again able to get me in the very next morning (and I called very late in the afternoon). Claudio showed up on time and was also very professional. He made quick work of installing the dishwasher and replacing nearby plumbing needed for the install. He even adjusted my hot water heater for me once he finished. I hadn't requested an estimate prior to the second appointment and was pleasantly surprised when the total came in at about $50 less than I had expected. We thought we had a potential slab leak due to wet grout in the floor. We called several companies for diagnoses and quote. Rolland was the first to come out and not diagnose the problem correctly. We were charged $299.00 for the technicians time and they recommended we re-plumb our house. They sent an estimator to give us a quote. Prior to the estimators arrival our second quote plumbing company arrived. They diagnosed the issue within 10 minutes. No slab leak. A kitchen faucet leaking and over a short time had leaked into the floor. The issue was solved and fixed for $160.00. I would love to believe that Rolland Reash Plumbing is not dishonest and selling services that are not required but have to question why you would diagnose a house re-plumb when all of the symptoms of a slab leak aren't met and you did not check the kitchen sink plumbing. Glad it was only a $299.00 loss. It could have been far worse. Buyer beware and proceed with caution. read more

Rolland Reash plumbing failed to pull a permit for re-plumbing my home a few year back and did not install the piping to city code. We discovered this only yesterday when our roofer struck a waterline. We brought this to Rolland Reash's attention and their response was they refuse to repair their mistakes at their expense citing the work is out of warranty. City code requirements and warranty are two different things. However, they will not stand by their mistakes. I have filed a complaint with City Code enforcement. read more

However, when presented with the bill (which deducted for my online coupon) the cost was greater than I had originally been quoted. I questioned the charge. The technician called the office and I was then charged an additional $10 for "supply's". I do not know what supply's are required when I provided the new disposal for installation. Amazing. I questioned using them again since the last time their technician did not turn the power supply on to my dishwasher after attempting to install a new faucet. I did not catch the water supply had not been turned back on for my dishwasher and when I used my dishwasher the motor burned up from lack of water. When I called their office I was told they could not assist with my problem as they did not know if the dishwasher worked upon their arrival. Shame on me for using them again! read more

Be aware!! I was very disappointed in Rolland Reash. I called them out to change out shower fixtures after my tile guy ripped out all tile and everything down to the studs. Should have been a relatively simple job and I supplied the valve. The plumber walks in and says he thinks it should be "no more than an hour - hour and a half at most" I always watch the clock when service people who charge by the hour come to my house. It took him two hours when he went outside to the truck to get my invoice ready. It took THIRTY minutes for him to work out my invoice. I went out THREE times to ask if my invoice was ready because I had the worst feeling I was still on the clock. Sure enough, I was charged for 2.5 hours of labor and "parts" which nobody at that company could tell me what parts they used on my bathroom when I asked later. My invoice said nothing. I like to give businesses the chance to right wrongs, so I called and spoke to their office manager. After not hearing back from them after a week, I called back. They agreed to refund me 15 minutes worth of time. That is ridiculous. An invoice should take a couple of minutes to get together, yet I was told that the plumber "needs time to do his paperwork." Sure, but not on my dime! Very sketchy, very unwilling to work with the customer on cleaning up their act and fixing their mistakes. Be aware!! read more

Beware this company. Its difficult to know who to trust when needing a plumber, and Rolland Reash failed the trust test. We had a water leak coming from a pipe in the wall. It was a Saturday, but i called them because their ad in a local coupon magazine indicates 24 Hours No overtime charges 7 days a week. Their phone receptionist proceeded to tell me that there would be overtime charges since its a Saturday. She claimed that the ad must be old. It was the June issue of the magazine. Strike 1. I made an appt for Monday. They arrived and checked the issue. 1 employee entered my home to check the water heater area for leaking. In the process tracking dirt and leaves from his shoes through my kitchen. Strike 2. The problem was thankfully remedied by cleaning out the pipe with an auger. A simple task for them. The total for this simple task was over one hundred thirty dollars. Extreme for the ease of the job. Strike 3. They're out. Basically they will dirty up your home, lie about their ad, and over charge you. Again..beware. read more

Roland Reash installed our rRinnai system and we have had nothing but problems. We have not had it a year and they want to charge us 95.00 every time they come out. In the beginning they said they would install a inline sediment filter now they say they don't install them. It is a shame when company's don't back up their products or their work any more. read more
